Should more Sonic Characters be Playable?

I've been a fan of Sonic the Hedgehog for as long as I can remember. There's just something about the Blue Blur's attitude and speed that appeals to me to my very core. But, I do like the other characters, too. Characters like Knuckles the Echidna, Miles "Tails" Prower, Shadow the Hedgehog, and even Silver the Hedgehog are all great characters that brought smiles to my face in the past. Though, have you noticed how rarely they're playable nowadays? (Don't bring up the Olympic Games. I'm talking about REAL games.)

Well, I've been keeping up with Sonic Team for a while, and I learned this; The head of Sonic Team, Takashi Iizuka, apparently has a personal vendetta for all Sonic characters except Sonic and Tails. Personally, I don't think that's fair. I'm sure plenty of people wouldn't mind taking Knuckles or Tails for a spin one more time.

At least, I wouldn't mind.

This should be brought up as a topic, but yes.

 

Silver is one character that is not only my favorite of all time, but someone who really needs a second chance.

 

While slow, you have to admit the telekenises powers are awesome!

I did like playing as Silver in 06, believe it or not. Too bad his powers were over-whelmingly limited :P

I guess it's true what they say; with great power comes great... limitations.

Nope.

 

I honestly think, even with the success of Colors and Generations, that Sonic Team would be best suited doing what Capcom did with Megaman 9 and 10 and take us back to the Genesis era.
