My Children Will Do it Differently

So I got to thinking again because I have yet to hit 20 and I am having yet another Mid life crisis. I remember the good ole days when it was ok to teach your 8 year old how to drive, when it was ok to ride down the road on the open tail gait. Shoot my whipper snappers wont even get the opportunity to play cowboys and Indians like I did! We got real guns and bows :D

Best child hood memories are of the fat lips and bloody noses.

Things have gotten so safe. I dunno technology kinda sucks. It just won't feel the same and I am starting to feel old and nostalgic.

Want to hear another crazy story? I have lots? I will trade you a story for story. Tell me something you remember from your child hood and I will tell you something.

The best stories are those you arent allowed to tell though :c

One of the ones i may tell is the one, where i was sailing in a miniature boat in a storm and ended up with a pretty heavy hypothermia, lotsa bruises and bleeding everything. My sailing instructor always said, that there is no bad weather, only bad clothing. Was the best time of my life. ( i was est. 13-14? I think. )

I wish I were able to have the (relative)happiness of that time today.

Back when we only had one joystick. I operated the buttons :P

But I was bullied a lot when I was a kid. I'm perfectly happy with today.

Time has changed and we all find ourselves growing up. I think one of my best stories (that I can tell) would be when drunk 8 year old me was watching grandpa and uncle jack play who can get their fingers closest to the axe...... Uncle Jack won xD I fed 3 finger tips too the chickens and watched them fight over it... It was clearly the better option.. because screw hospitals, lol logic xD

I miss the good ole days. But the new adventures excite me too. I just wish I could be carefree again haha

I think one of my favorite memories was going into the huge forest behind my house. There was a sand pit and a dump with a lot of old cars and my brothers and I would play hide and go seek. If you were found you would get a pelt shot in your arm...

@MaryResin

That sounds like a great game and I do not understand why todays parents (for the most part) won't allow their kids to play this kinda thing. It sounds perfectly fine and safe to me ;)

Great story by the way, made my day :)
