Hello!
Alright! Another blog! This time I'll be talking about one of my favourite subjects - Music! More precisely, Rock and Metal music!
________________________________________________
During the time I had been learning guitar, I wrote a number of riffs, licks, ideas, but never actually came about writing a whole song. I have recently began trying to add all the ideas into a single piece but I will confess that it is a lot harder than I thought it would be.
As a person develops his skills, he begans paying attention to small details, he will only aprove of top-notch work and interestingly enough, this is becoming revelant to me. Currently, I don't have a real band, to be honest, I never had a real band. The problem is that it is so hard to find musicians with similar interests, taste in music. What makes it even harder is that rock, blues and heavy metal is pretty much dead in my city.
Around a year ago, I decided to grow my own bassist from scratch so I offered a friend to pick up the bass and play with me. We had similar tastes and interests in music but later I found out that it was a huge risk I took which has led to a lot of stress. Being a little more advanced, it becomes a real pain to deal with the weak link. You try to explain everything and he tries his hardest to do so but the lack of skill makes it all so obvious that it's not going to work.
After 8 months of playing together, I decided to let him go for some time, because I knew it was way too early for him to play in a band. He and I made an agreement to split apart for 2-4 months or more if needed until he gets a tight grip on the bass. During this time, I decided to try and gradually improve my own skills and to finally finish some of my songs.

If there was one question I'd like to ask you all, how patient are you with people who don't live up to the standards you put up?
It's a silly question, but hopefuly it will spark some sort of topic to discuss
