• Physical Description

  Dr. Clue is an average light teal pegasus pony. Her real cutie mark is a magnifying glass and a bubblegum bubble. (She usually helps with royal guard duties when she isn't investigating.)

• Backstory

  As a member of the (huge) Sky Family, she came from a long line of Royal Guards. Being determined and observant from a young age, it was assumed that she would join the others in becoming a Royal Guard. That is, until she started solving mystery after mystery that has plagued the royal guard school for years. It was how she obtained her cutie mark. (She loves bubblegum and it helps her think.) However, she still finished her training in becoming a royal guard.

  She stayed in the royal guard for a few years, solving some small mysteries around Canterlot when the need arose. However, during that time, Canterlot has been attacked and invaded multiple times. After some convincing, the Equestria Investigative Agency was formed, to which Dr. Clue is the only member. She has revealed and stopped several attacks on Canterlot. When she isn't investigating, she is a royal guard.

  Dr. Clue is a very determined pony. When she wants something done, it will get done. She isn't the kind of pony that will take no for an answer. (Ok, maybe she did once, but we don't talk about that.)

  She is very observant, often noticing things that other ponies miss.

  She also has a very strong sense of reasoning and justice. When something doesn't add up or when she suspects that there is something nefarious going on, she will get to the bottom of it. She also has many tactics to get ponies to give her the information she wants.

   Dr. Clue realizes there isn't much point in trying to get answers from the farmer from behind some rocks, so she steps out and stands next to the other two. "Any help you can offer would be appreciated," she adds.

   Dr. Clue gasped when Samurai suddenly landed right in front of the farmer. So much for observing the farmer pony without being noticed. Ultimately, she decided to stay behind the rocks and listen in on following conversation. If she could do so without being noticed easily, she would stick her head briefly over the rocks to try and see the farmer's reaction.

   "Hey there's a pony down there," Dr. Clue points out to the rest of the group. "However, I can't identify them from this distance. Should we try to get a closer look? I think I can fly down there."
   If the rest of the group agreed, Dr. Clue would try to fly down to get a closer look at the pony without being noticed by the pony she was trying to observe.

   Dr. Clue pays the begar another bit before following the others towards the cliffs. Once she got to the edge, she would hover just a bit off the ground while observing around.

   Dr. Clue jots down everything the beggar said so far, not quite sure what to make of them. However, she couldn't seem to figure out what it meant. Was this their logo? If so, what was the purpose of putting it on the side of a barn? They searched everything nearby and couldn't find anything. "I'm stumped as well. I say we go check on the preparations for the fair and see if we find anything there," Dr. Clue suggested.

   "So it was yesterday morning huh? Hmm, I suppose that could be a possibility. I guess since we don't have any other leads, we'll listen to what you know," Dr. Clue said, tossing the bit to the beggar. However, given that she didn't exactly trust him, she jotted down any notes about the beggar in case they needed to find him again.

   Dr. Clue jotted down the notes that at first glance, she couldn't really determine anything more from the symbols. She also noted that the others didn't seem to find anything in the barn. However, something that the beggar said made Dr. Clue raise an eyebrow. "How do you know this?" Dr. Clue asked, staring at the beggar suspiciously.  "You were just standing around when this other pony drew this symbol and you continued to loiter around here willing to give out this information in exchange for bits?" Dr. Clue asked, jotting her thoughts down due to how suspicious they seemed.

    Dr. Clue investigates the chalk mark carefully to see if she can learn anything more about itt while drawing a sketch of it and taking notes about it. While she is focusing on the mark on the barn, she is aware of the begger nearby. "What do you think it means?" Dr. Clue asks Mango and Shadow Dagger.

   "Hey ponies! Bet you can't catch up with me!" Izzy giggled as she ran ahead, normally, she had a tennis ball at the end of her horn but this time as she ran she'd bump into this ancient ruin's pillar and then something would fall to the ground with the sound of clinking.
   
   "Huh?"
   
   She'd lower her gaze to peer upon it. "Oh!"
   
   Happily nodding, "a new decoration for my horn!" She'd nuzzle it with the tip of her horn before donning it like some time of new accessory to show to her friends.
   
   "Ow!" With a light green zap, she'd jump back and watch it fall to the ground, one again.
   
   "Hey! What was that?!" 
   
   Looking back towards her friends, she'd wondered if they had witnessed it. 
   
   "Izzy!! Wait up!!"
   
   Sunny would gallop as she followed behind.
   
   The small bell would zip and spark with green phosphorescent colors!
   
   "AHHHHH -- what is that?!"
   
   Sunny would take a few steps aside and then suddenly the sound of tearing could be heard as the fabrics of reality itself would begin to rip and warp in a form of spinning like a cyclone. Stars, moons, and the sound of thunder could be heard as many characters from different universes and dimensions would flail and panic as the chaos ensued. 
   
   "WHAT IS HAPPENING?!" a familiar voice would erupt as she'd land in the center of the ruins and look around. 
   
   "Oooof!"
   
   A purple alicorn with long, majestic legs would stand in place suddenly and try to uphold her dignity despite the lack of it from the fall out of nowhere. She seemed confused as she'd dart her eyes left and right, as if trying to register sense into any of this.
   
   "YAHHHHHHHHOOOOOOOOOOOO"
   Pinkie Pie's voice would now follow as she'd collapse on Twilight's back. "That was funnnn!" 
   
   A myriad of characters of all kinds of species and realms would unite in a series of confused mumbling and general gatherings. "What's happening? Why are we here?" 
   
   Twilight stops and looks down, noticing the bell. "It's broken."
   
   Izzy makes an innocent face and darts her eyes. "I... I found it like that." 
   
   Sunny makes a not-so-convinced expression. 
   
   Twilight proceeds,
   "The magic that emits from it is strong.... but we may need to restore it somehow... "
   Pinkie Pie casually rolls off of Twilight's back and slowly stands up in a playfully robotic manner like a transformer might. "Oooooh -- it's colorful!" 
   
   
   
   
   
   "Stand back!" Twilight would call towards everyone standing around it. "Make sure you're safe. Divided in confusion, we may not know how to handle this.. but united, through the power of friendship, we may be able to figure this out!"
   
   As Twilight would speak this with booming authority of a majestic nature, the mixture of different characters were far too diverse and complex to simply merge "through friendship" as she had said. 
   
   
   "This is not going to be easy, is it?"
   
   
   
   And so begins

   Welcome to Medieval Equestria. It's 500 years since Luna's banishment, so we're in the middle of the long period of Celestia's sole reign. Despite the stable government and lack of major villain attacks, there are still some issues the princess needs to take care of. And she wants YOU to help her with that.
    
   I'm looking for players for this RP I'm planning. Here are some things you should know about it:
   1. It will use some simple tabletop mechanics. You don't have to worry about that now, I will take care of it, and tell you what you need to do to create and level up your character. Here is a summary of the system, the same as I posted earlier in a status update:
   2. I will not be playing as a party member, I'm the game master only.
   3. The technology is at a medieval level, so things like trains or airships don't exist yet.
   4. The only canon character that appears in the story is Princess Celestia.
   5. It will consist of multiple chapters, each being a specific task given to you by the princess. I'm aiming for a wide variety of adventures.
   6. All things related to the game mechanics will happen in the same thread as the story (I will post all the game mechanics messages in italics).
   If you want to apply, all I need for now is some basic info about your character, it can be a link to its profile if you're using the forum's character system, or some other kind of reference. If there are enough players interested (I need at least 2, but the more the merrier), I will start it in about a week from now. If you have any questions of suggestions, you're welcome to post them here.

   "Sup? I'm Dr. Clue and I love investigating a good mystery. (I heard that among us is really popular these days.)"
   "I'm Peppermint, a botanist who is studying plants in the Everfree Forest."
   "Hello! You can hear me right? Oh good. I'm Misty, and I'm a breezie pollinator. I guess you could say, 'It aint easy being a breezie'!"

   Silver Tongue stands at attention with his trusty ledger by his side. He stared down the forest as one would a new horizon. The sticks and leaves crunched under his hooves, with the well-swept cobbles behind him.
   The preparations were meticulous enough for him to confide in but complex enough to reignite his nerves.
   With Spring Chicken by his side, he whispered, "Is everything ready?"
   Spring Chicken didn't answer. She merely gave the same knowing smile she always knew. Those half-focused eyes gave doubt that she even understood Silver.
   Finally, Spring Chicken spoke, "Well, make sure the music teacher gets his que. You don't want the skeletons to be off-key. Your nerves will thank you for the distraction."
   "Are you sure you can handle this? Necromancy isn't exactly the most well-understood study. It'll be an uphill fight to convince the students that we mean well."
   "If I fail, then we will just have to try again."
   "That doesn't reassure me."
   The back-and-forth was cut short by a rustle of the underbrush.
   Silver retreated back under the open gate's stone arch and into onto the school's lawn. There, he was ready to give Aquarius the signal to conduct the skeletons.
   Spring Chicken stood there with her vacant smile, ready to welcome the new arrivals.
   These arrivals, who lost themselves in the nearest forest, would be transported from across Equestria's to this particular forest.
