• Physical Description

  Skylight Scintillate is a sky blue unicorn with lime colored eyes. She has a blonde mane and tail with cyan and lime accents. Her cutie mark is a star shooting upwards with streamers behind it. She is average size for a unicorn her age, though she looks very similar to a mare in FIM style due to her more rounded face. Also, ponies think she looks very cute and innocent with her large eyes and pink blush. Her magical aura is teal. There are a few rumors that claimed to have seen her as a princess, ninja, reindeer, changeling, kirin, or axolotl, but none of them can be confirmed.

• Backstory

  Skylight Scintillate started out as a pretty normal pony growing up, living with her family in Canterlot. For the longest time, Skylight Scintillate wasn't sure what she planned on doing when she grew up. She actually didn't get her cutie mark until most of the way through the last year of elementary school. (Fortunately, she wasn't teased for it.) She ended up trying a lot of things but none of them really interested her. While she was interested in Celestia's School of Magic for Gifted Unicorns and admired Princess Twilight Sparkle for her strength in magic and friendship, Skylight didn't believe she had the magical strength to enter the school.

  She remembered vividly the day she got her cutie mark. She was fidgeting with one of her parent's abacuses when she remembered experimenting with using magic to store information digitally. She wasn't exactly sure how she did it but she remembered casting a lot of magical spells which were quite magically intensive to create something that would work stably. Once she finished casting the spells, a magical tablet remained floating in her aurora. It was a magical digital tablet. (Although it's functions were very limited; It could only do addition and subtraction.) Once it was clear that this combination of magical spells was stable, she got her cutie mark in a flash of light. It was a star shooting upwards with streamers behind it.

  Other ponies had quite a few different interpretations fore the cutie mark. Her parents thought that it looked like an i, which would make sense for her spell for storing and processing information. Other ponies suggested it meant her strength was in magic due to streamers and stars being associated with a talent in magic. However, looking back rom after high school, Skylight thinks that the star shooting up foreshadowed the rise in her magical ability.

  After graduating from elementary school, Skylight and her parents decided to see if she really had a talent in magic. She ended up in the entrance exam for Celestia's School of Magic for Gifted Unicorns at the high school level. Despite this, Skylight Scintillate really anxious about the entrance exam and She had brought a friend for encouragement. (Her parents were there too.) With her friend's encouragement, Skylight was able to manage her anxiety enough to show the interviewers her abilities and magical tablet. (By then, it had most features of a calculator in addition to a notepad and a sketchpad.) She ended up getting accepted. The interviewers noted that both her and the idea of storing information digitally using magic had huge potential. However, Skylight's emotions affected how well she could control her magic.

  At Celestia's School for Gifted Unicorns, her magical ability skyrocketed, and she worked extensively on improving the magical tablet's power and memory in addition to adding more functions. (However, there are a few things that the magical tablet can't do. Imagine a smart phone without any games (requires too much computing power) or features that involve it connecting to other devices (can't send information between magical tablets, just the magical tablet and the unicorn's brain controling it.)) Finally, once she started doing research at the University level of Celestia's School of Magic for Gifted Unicorns, Skylight published a paper saying that unicorns would increase their magical abilities not by increasing their raw power, but by increasing their efficiency in every step of the magical process.

  (Depending on the RP, the high school and university that Skylight went to can be switched from Celestia's School of Magic for Gifted Unicorns to a regular high school and university to tone down on Skylight's magical abilities.)

• Personality

  Skylight Scintillate considers herself an ambivert. How social she is willing to be tends to fluctuate. She is known for being quite curious, and is always interested in tinkering with what can be done using a magical tablet. She tends to think logically, but can get quite emotional and sensitive at times. She is pretty knowledgeable, but isn't the most athletic. She has worked on not letting her emotions control the strength of her magic in school, but they still affect her slightly.

  She can be a bit sarcastic and not know how to act or really shy around those she just met given that she isn't the best at first impressions, but is kind and friendly around most of her friend groups. Around her university friend group, she tends to act really sassy and sarcastic to match the way they act. However, around her other friend groups, she prefers to be cute, innocent, and adorable, but sometimes she slips up and says something sarcastic around her other friend groups. 

  Due to this, she values understanding friends that continue to coddle and indulge her even when she slips up and says something sarcastic. Something she wants to work on is being more understanding of others. She likes to coddle and indulge her friends, along with being coddled and indulged by her friends.

  Being from Canterlot, has developed a taste for elegant things that the city has to offer, but she likes to try new things too.

   "Hmm," Fluttershy thought as she glanced around her cottage, trying to figure out which animals needed caring. "Well, the animals have been fed already... Ah, I know. Let the animals approach you. They can be shy sometimes, but treat them nice, and they will be nice back..." Fluttershy said. Before she could elaborate further, there was a loud crashing noise in the other room. "Oh dear, don't do that..." Fluttershy panicked as she flew into the other room.
   Several animals noticed the recent arrivals and wandered over to look at them. A snake and Forest Flame eyed each other up and down. A cardinal landed on Skylight's horn and glanced down toward her, and a chipmunk ran up to Reality Check with a brush. The chipmunk held the brush out to Reality Check with a smile.

   "Of course, we would still want to be your friend. What kind of friends would we be if we just abandoned you?" Twinkle Theory said. "Anyways, I think the bullies are gone now. Let's just return the papers, and then we can go explore the city away from them. And a friend turning into a bully is the worst. You shouldn't let him control you like that," The bubble that the group was in slowly lowered toward the ground before dissipating once the group's hooves made contact. Once on her four hooves, Skylight'e ears swiveled around. Other than the sounds of the group getting up, the hallways were completely silent. During the group's confrontation, Cosmic Clown had managed to lead the group quite a ways away from Dawn's office. However, Skylight was aware of which direction they went. He pointed in the direction of Dawn's office. "Looks like the coast is clear. This way!" he said as he led the group toward Guidance Counselor Dawn's office. However, as he rounded the last corner near Dawn's office, he was abruptly pulled back by Twinkle Theory.
   "Look," she whispered, pointing around the corner. Skylight peeked his head out from around the corner before pulling back abruptly once he realized who he saw. "One of the bullies is pacing around outside Dawn's office, and it doesn't look like he's going anywhere. At least he hasn't noticed us yet..." Twinkle remarked, using a reflection spell to peer around the corner. 
   "Let's just return the paper later..." Sealight whispered to the others.
   "Yeah, let's," Skylight agreed. "Oh look, a flyer. It looks like the art museum has free admissions this afternoon. Wow they are going all out on promoting their floating paper exhibit. And it actually says a million pieces of paper. I wonder why I heard ten thousand then... Anyways, why don't we go there? It's pretty close by, which would be good for your first few days here." Skylight suggested. Twinkle Theory and Sealight nodded in agreement. Skylight looked towards Dynamo for the final confirmation.

   "Funny, my cutie mark is also a shooting star! However, for me, it means something different. It represents my talent in magic and love of using magic, kind of like how Princess Twilight has a star for a cutie mark," Skylight explained. 
   "Wow that's cool!" Skylight exclaimed. "Does that mean you visit other pony's dreams? Do you work with Luna?" Skylight asked.

   "Umm, alright then. Let's go," Skylight remarked as she put the letter away and led the group toward the dorm with a skip in her step.  Skylight knew the route, so she got there quickly. However, there was time for Skylight to talk with the others. "So uh, how's it going?" Skylight asked the other two as they walked.

   "Ah cool, I quite like blueberry pastries myself, but like any sweet pastry that's well made. Mango is good as well," Skylight replied as she ate a blueberry cupcake.
   "The scroll? Oh, umm, ok then... Silky just wants me to grab something. She believes she left her elphenite in the dormitory and she wants me to go with you to get it, Silvermoon. After that, we meet back up at the cottege," Skylight paraphrased.

   Skylight glanced over the scroll and nodded at Silky when she finished reading it, acknowledging that she understood the instructions. She knew where to go and she would head out once the group dispersed. 
   "Oh hello Shiny. Nice to meet you. So um, what kind of pastries do you all like?" Skylight asked, pulling out some pastries she liked from the selection offered and eating them.

   "I love it when you can feel the love flowing from the animals," TIbia added.
   "Yeah let's go," Skylight said as he finished his slice of cake. He got up and led the rest of the group towards Fluttershy's cottage. The weather was warm and sunny, so the walk over was quite pleasant. Soon enough, they arrived at Fluttershy's place. There were various animals scurrying around outside. Skylight walked up to the cottage door and knocked on it. This was followed by various animal noises inside the house before Fluttershy opened teh door. "Oh hello there, do you all want to learn to take care of animals with me?"Fluttershy asked.

    Skylight seemed to recall that memory too. "Oh yeah, I remember that!" she remarked. "Between you and me, I think that we could be a really powerful magical duo." 
    Skylight glanced around, a bit nervous about going back into the maze, but she didn't exactly want to stick around to be attacked by changelings either. Although she didn't think Vibrant knew the way out, she didn't have any better ideas, so she followed Vibrant.
    "Hey Nebel," Skylight asked seemingly out of the blue, "Do you have any powers or abilities?"
    "What," was all that Skylight was able to say when the groups suddenly reunited. She stared at the other group in shock. "So we come back together just like that? What happened to you all?" she asked.

   After The Gathering Event, it was nice to return home. Relax. Digest all that had happened. And then, upon gathering once again, many ponies were happy to finally have a normal day in Canterlot where nothing eventful happens.
   
   @Skylight Scintillatewas unraveling the scroll in her hoofs with the pastel pink lace ribbon and Moonlight Wane @Nitobitwas observing the rock from all interesting angles as it catches the light with a peculiar gleam. 
   
   But in the distance, there was someone watching. Someone who was hovering as if she had been familiar in some way with Silky. This adorable unicorn, as silvery as a @Shiny Silvermoon seemed curious about the environment around her. 
   Ponies had gather to chatter and discuss the peculiar items they had been handed.

   @MoonBunny @Reindeer SkylightFuchsia nommed contentedly from an almost empty packet of salty hay fries and slurped her tangy fizzy cola. The smells and sounds of the Faire are all about her and her explorer's senses were pulled a thousand different ways. She had been drawn to the Faire, though she wasn't a tourist like the others here - the Faire was a time of portentous pony happenings, and a familiar feeling in her bright pink flanks (from which stared three cheery sunflowers) told her that something big was ahoof.
   An unusual shimmering at a booth catches her eye. A unicorn seemed to be drawing a crowd, mainly younger, though with a few older creatures about, alongside a couple of unicorns, one of whom looked like a resident, and the other a visitor like herself. Fuchsia can just about make out the sign above the booth 'Moonbunny' as she laconically trots towards it to see the show.

   Skylight Scintillate looked around nervously. It was the first day of school and this School of Friendship had a lot of students. There were so many different species walking around and it was just crowded enough to make Skylight a bit uncomfortable, but he could feel the excitement in the air. Skylight thought that the feeling inside of him was a mix of excitement and nervousness. He wandered over to an area that was slightly less crowded so he could see the staff up at the front. He also noticed a mint colored unicorn standing nearby.
   "Uh, hi?" Skylight said. He wasn't the best at introductions. "I didn't know that there are going to be so many different species here."

   Sunlight Gleam smiled. He had finally did it. He had been accepted at Celestia's School for Gifted Unicorns. He remembered watching a talent show at the school, and was amazed by what the students could do. What was surprising, was afterwards, he got so excited, he caused a burst of magic and his cutie mark appeared. Apparently, he also not noticed by the school, because now he got accepted there.
   By now, a large crowd had gathered in front of the school, and Sunlight was in it. He could feel the excitement in the air. All around him, he saw excited fillies and colts standing around with their parents. Apparently, Princess Celestia was supposed to make a speech to welcome the incoming students. Sunlight looked around. While it was hard to see through the crowd, he saw a young colt unicorn like him. "Hey there, isn't this so exciting?! We are going to learn magic! At Celestia's School for Gifted Unicorns! I can't wait for Celestia to make her speech." Sunlight rambled.
