  1. Watching Japanese anime with English subtitles is easier than I thought it would be

      I think it depends on the genre for me. The dramatic ones I've seen have been better with original Japanese vocies, but the light-hearted comedies and others have been great with English dubs. I'm just happy I'm not restricted to dubs and can enjoy both now! :)

      If I drop all my bias, I suppose I can understand why people like dub more. It's only until you start to understand how Japanese works a little more that you can appreciate the voice acting. Because emphasis and stressing of syllables is completely different between the two, so if you don't understand what Japanese should sound like, and you only know English to be the correct way to speak, I think one could take the original dub to be "not as emotional", because it doesn'...
