I am Mr. Dash! My favorite pony is Rainbow Dash, followed by Pinkie Pie and Fluttershy.
I have recently started watching MLP, I believe in the beginning of December last year. I can't believe it's 2013 already. Anyway, I don't know any fellow bronies yet, online and in real life. I hope that will change soon. I am a partial closet brony, I have told some of my cousins, my aunt, and my sister and that's it.
How I found MLP was by first finding out about the word Brony. Of course it took some time before I actually looked into it. I really only looked into it when I started seeing the word pop up more often. So naturally I had to find out, then I dismissed it. Then I looked into it some more a few months later when I started thinking about it again, then did some "research". Watched some more videos about Bronies. Then a few days later, I watched the first episode of the abridged version. I then promptly began to watch more videos on bronies (including ballad of the brony) and do more "research" and I visited Equestria Daily a few times. I think at this point I was afraid I was going to like MLP and I was procrastinating about watching it. But I decided to watch the first episode to see why so many males liked it because I got pretty curious about it. After watching it I could kind of see why it was liked so much, but I again procrastinated against watching the next episode. I was trying to avoid liking a show for "little girls". Naturally I couldn't get ponies out of my head after watching the first episode. So I decided to watch the next episode to see what happened, and from there, I decided screw it! I'm going to watch this. I accepted that I was slowly being drawn into this. I believe I was already being drawn into MLP when I started really looking into bronies and watching videos about bronies. I think subconsciously I knew I was going to like it and through days of procrastinating, I finally accepted it.
Excuse the long story, but when I get started, sometimes I just can't stop.
Anywho, I hope that I don't just disappear from these forums like I tend to do. That is the main reason I don't usually join forums.
Another thing, if I hadn't found MLP, then I wouldn't have felt the want to try and draw again. Mainly a freehand sketch copy. The last freehand sketch copy I did was of Goku which was about 10 or 11 years ago and I did pretty good, except for his face. But I decided to not really draw anymore. Until now, and I surprised myself. I am really proud of what I have accomplished, and you never know what you are capable of until you try. I did Rainbow Dashe's face, and I am working of Flutterhy's face right now. I will do the mane 6 and Derpy, then work on full body sketches and then go from there.

I hope I'm not to late. But I will give it a try anyway. I don't have money right now for pony merch. So anything presumably free will be ok by me. Even if the manes look the way they do. I choose Rainbow Dash and my number is the number I keep seeing everywhere, 23.
I could definitely see this being used for military training as Zacharias said. But for me, it would be every once in a while. It would be neat at first, but then it would just become something to do when I'm in the mood for it. It would lose it's appeal after a time. Of course, if its anything like the holodeck from Star Trek: The Next Generation, then I would probably use it more often.
