Like a child in a sweet shop, Glacier dashed around with a smile on her face. She had had an idea of something she could do with the wood and stalls around her. She balanced a large square of wood against a brick wall and broke another into small splinters. She attempted to stick them in the wood but it didn't work. She scowled and returned to Shamrock with a serious look.

"It's no good,"  Glacier announced. "There's no way of sticking the splinters to the wood without some tree sap or honey. Also, I've been rather stupid in realising only now that I don't have any fruit to stick on the splinters. I'll return later and see if I can get some fruit and sap for my little... idea."

As Shamrock moved closer, Glacier took a quick sidestep and growled. "Watch it,"  she said sternly. "We've just met and it'd be wise if you didn't get so close you were practically inside me. Then again, I'm unlikely to be in Fillydelphia for more than a few days anyway so getting attached to me is unlikely to be a good way to spend your time."

Houses continued to roll down the peaceful streets with little difference between them. Soon, they ended and the pair came across a closed marketplace. Wooden stalls were dotted around and there was no ponies in the area. "This seems like a place in which I could have some fun,"  Glacier said, eyeing up some loose wooden boards. "Mind if I take a look at what I can find?"

Shamrock's threat caused Glacier to cackle mockingly. "Seriously?!"  Glacier said. "I've spent the past seven years of my life in an constant battle against anything that the Everfree could've thrown at me and you think I wouldn't be able to best you? I've already judged your main strengths and as such, I have been able to make a plan for if you ever turn on me."

Glacier looked around as she was lead into the city of Fillydelphia. The area the pair were in was mostly terraces of houses with the odd corner shop popping up here and then. It was all very pedestrian to Glacier. A few cats ran up and down the roads and as they came into Glacier's view, she licked her lips.

Glacier's horn glowed a dark blue as she readied a spell. She took a few breaths to steady her aim and ensure that the spell she was preparing hit the wolf in a fatal area and didn't simply wound it. When she fired her spell, she become distracted by Shamrock's proposition. A large icicle shot from Glacier's horn and smacked into a tree about metre away. The sound alerted the wolf to the pair's presence and it scampered away into the woods. She turned to Shamrock with a frayed temper.

"You know what?" Glacier exclaimed. "Fine. If you do desperately want to take me out, go for it. I've lost one meal today and I don't plan on losing another!" A hint of hate had started to appear in Glacier's voice. "But whatever we do, it best be better than wolf meat or you may find yourself missing a limb or two in the morning. Understand.?

  5. @@Gloomfury

Glacier shook her head. "I've never been a fan of resteraunts,"  Glacier said, still searching of some sign of life. "They're far too overpriced, I rarely like what's on the menu and there's nothing fun about being given food. And about cooking the meat, there's no reason to do so. Have you ever seen a pride of lions at around a campfire? Have you ever seen an alligator using an oven in the wild? I thought not. If you want to go to a resteraunt, that's fine; I'm getting some nice food for free."

As Glacier finished, darted towards a small cracking sound. She searched for the source of the noise and found it. A large grey wolf sat cleaning itself in the middle of a clearing.

    "Stay quiet. I've found food."

Shamrock wasn't scared at all. "Why would I quit out? Even though you got sharp teeth and eat meat I still like you. And it just makes you more specialHell, I thought one of my mates was the only one. He was raised by a griffin and she fed him meat and he grew canines. At least that's what he told me. And even though he knew many ways to fight he still couldn't beat me in the ring, hehe." She says with her boasting smile Again.

Glacier was visibly taken aback by Shamrock's comments. "Wow,"  Glacier said. "Most call me a monster when they find out I'm omnivorous. It's nice to meet a pony who isn't fighting for survival and accepts my lifestyle. You'd be surprised how rare it is. Anyway, I'll put an offer out to you. If you want to try some real food, you can."

Slowing to a crawl, Glacier slinked around the woods looking for some sign of an animal. The woods were full of bushes and berries that Glacier could identify instantly, but she wasn't here for the flora. Keeping her eyes on the ground, she looked for pawprints or a track that she could follow. However, in the hard ground, they were very patchy and the few she found ended with no animals.

"These woods seem lifeless," Glacier announced. "The tracks around here seem old. It's possible that there's something here, but there would appear to be very little."

Glacier looked at Shamrock with a devious grin. "Oh... we are about to get something to eat," she said. "You're not going to see a trick or ancient fighting style. You're going to see what seven years of constant fighting for survival yields." She flashed her sharp teeth to hint at what was soon to follow. "Now's your last chance to quit out."

Without waiting for a response, Glacier began to go deeper into the trees.

"You may not think that taking a minotaur horn is that painful," Glacier preached. "But in the situation I was in, the horn was a lot more of a major event. It tested every single one of my abilites. A deep wound like that takes an age to heal and is incredbily likely to get infected so it was a real struggle not to die and to durvive using only what came to hand."

Wondering further into the park, Glacier soon found herself enveloped in the leafy cloak of the trees within. They were tightly packed like the trees in a forest. "Are you ready?" Glacier asked. "You're about to see how creatures like me survive in the Everfree."

  9. @

She looks over Glacier's body and sees many cuts and small scars. "I could see you've done your fair shear us scraps." She picks Glacier right hoof up and feels it around gently with her own. "You got some strength in your hooves." She looks up to her with a small enticing smile. "I like a mare who can handle herself." Then her smiles goes soft. "And even though no one ever said it. You're a real beautyGlacy. Never let anyone tell you otherwise." She lightly kisses Glacier's hoof.

When Shamrock kissed Glacier's hoof, she gave a small but authoritative growl. "Steady,"  Glacier warned. "We've just met each other so watch what you're doing. But yes, I have been in a lot of battles and picked up some really hefty injuries. Minotaur horn really hurts when it goes in you and when it goes out the other side."

When she finished speaking, Glacier's belly rumbled loudly. "Urgh..." she complained. "That was a sickly one. I need to find something to eat. It must've been a couple of days."  Glacier began to walk away but stopped. She seemed to have taken a liking to this new pony. "Are you coming?"

  10. @,

"Boxing, lass.  You're looking at the best boxer of Detrot. And the only mare to fight out of her weight class and stallions as well." She says with a boasting smile." And I was just stating the obvious, darling. I can't accept that fact that you never been called pretty. I find it really hard to believe."

"A fighter, eh?" Glacier replied. "And quite a skillful one by the sounds of it. I've done a fair bit of duelling as well. My fights are probably a bit different to your fights though. And you best believe I've never been called pretty. Most ponies I meet now are scared of me and attack, nopony was interested in me at school and my parents didn't call me pretty because they knew I don't really care about how I look."

'This mare seems rather interesting. Perhaps I could duel with her some day.'

  11. @@Gloomfury

Glacier stopped dead in her tracks. "Well... well thanks, I... I guess,"  she stuttered. "Wow. I've never been called pretty before. Maybe this place isn't so bad after all... it just seems dull. Perhaps I was being to quick to judge on this place."  Glacier's facial expression went from blank to a very slight smirk. "When you say matches, what sport or game were you playing?"

  12. @@Gloomfury

Glacier was beginning to get quite frustrated at her inability to lose Shamrock. She decide to subtly let Shamrock know she was angry by picking up the pace and going towards a large park. "I could do with something to make me happy,"  Glacier replied. ""I've been told this is apparently amazing and I have to come here. This place looks set to be none of those things. And congratulations on finding a mare you like. I imagine you're both happy."

  13. @@Gloomfury

It wasn't in Glacier's best intrest to make an enemy of the first pony she met. "Hello,"  she said. "I haven't currently got a reason to smile so it's pointless and deceitful that I smile at all. Oh and I'm Glacier."

Walking with Shamrock obstructing her view soon grew to be quite the irritant. Glacier tried stopping and making sudden changes in direction to try and throw Shamrock off and leave her behind. However, in the tight streets of Fillydelphia, there was little space for evasive manoeuvres.

"Great. There's goes any chance of this being an interesting place,"  Glacier thought as a green earth pony began conversation with her.  After giving a sarcastic grin that revealed her teeth, Glacier replied, "There. Is that cute enough for you?"

She had no time for talking about subjects as dull as how ponies look and she wasn't shallow enough to particularly care. Still bogged down by the fact she was in what she thought was a boring city, Glacier continued walking into town, not giving any polite conversation with Shamrock.

The sun stood high in the sky on a warm day in Fillydelphia. The streets were empty save a few ponies who weren't working or at school. It was a very average day... but for how long?

Glacier trotted into Fillydelphia with a blank face. There was nothing and no one that could give her the challenge, thrills and rush that she spent her time after. "That pony must've been lying"  Glacier thought. "Why would recommend this place? It's rubbish!"
