These are instrumentals, or filtered... They have that fakeness to them, often trying to cancel out just the reverb at certain beats. It's a style.....

The entire Internet thinks Shake It Off is made up of the chords Am, C, and G. They are clearly missing the feel that the song is going for. BTW I am talking about the instrumental and not about the artist

To get that feeling of the chorus, Am is actually Cmaj7 with an A in the bass. Then that high B moves down one step to hit the A at the same time as the C chord, making a C6 chord (the most cheapest horrible chord for feels, like I explained in my hate for "Walking on Sunshine").

Trickery, but I am not falling for it!
