      Frankly, I don't know what my standards are with art/artist separation... :lostit:

      For me, it has a lot to do with how much the artist in question benefits from me enjoying their art. Watching a movie on TV – they don't make a cent if I do. Listening to a song – they do benefit, but 0.2 cents or something per stream is quite meaningless. Buying something from them or seeing them live (if they're a musician) – I definitely wouldn't do this, as there's an actual gain for them.

      It also depends on how familiar I am with their art. If it was a series I've enjoyed a lot, I most likely wouldn't stop watching completely, but if I haven't seen it before or only seen very little (like with R&S), it will deter me from looking up their work. I don't like the idea of the R&S reboot either, as those characters will forever be associated with their horrible creator, and even without his involvement, he could profit from the publicity. :unamused:

      It's hard to do. If I ever did I'd make sure no money went to the person, for example, pirating an album instead of paying or streaming it.
