    i voted discord and luna. discord was an easy choice, but i am shocked to see such a close race. flutter v luna? i had to think for a while before choosing luna, no other pony can stand next to flutters and balance cuteness. and besides luna needs some love!

    two votes since i cast mine, which broke what i saw for the result. i didn't expect to see two matches loppsided to 100 percent... that was hilarious! and seriously if celestia loses to chrysalis, i am disappoint. rarity v dash, i voted for rares, but i regard them about equally. BATTLE ROYAL!!! LITERALLY!!! seriously that'd be the most awesome thing possible, like seriously badass la grande! don't worry about rares, she got my vote

    batbrony, both of those are awesome, especially 'barbara ann' rofl! that does fit pinkie far too well! and so i'm actually contributing to the thread's intended purpose. because i've recently started playing it myself, here's a guy playing 3 pinkie song covers on ukulele; think i may have to find the tabs for these and adjust towards a picking blues style which is how i like to play... in a few months may have to make a secondary YT channel for my own uke vids. maybe

    luna v fluttershy next round... i have no idea! discord is going to own scoots, so the real question is who's up against discord? i say make it lunashy and take the whole tournament. lightning, meh, not really that much to love hating about her. and trixie referes to herself in third person, nuff said. zecora and daring... damn your luck, this round was rigged for those two.

    Ok, so i am wanting to contribute back to the writing community. Having been an avid reader over recent months, something to the tune of 3 million or so words worth on fimfiction alone. not to mention a multitude of works not hosted there, project horizons among them... Yeah, I'm kind of in debt to the fan-fiction writing community. So i am looking for one or two more writers or stories to edit for. I currently have one already, which I am proud of, but will post a link only with the author's permission. I feel, however, that one or two more will be a reasonable workload to take on without effecting my current work or real life. So now I ask, who all is in need of an editor? I'm no "Namby Pamby" but I would say that my skills are quite adequate. Thank you all for allowing me this opportunity to contribute in return.     batbrony, you may have convinced me to actually give that sorry rehash of a classic a chance, maybe... "true grit" is among john wayne's greatest works, alongside "the quiet man" in my opinion. while i am not a john wayne fanatic like my brother, i feel there is a special place in whatever hell may exist for people who remake good, and especially great, movies. "the day the earth stood still" being highest on the list of those i think should never have been remade. but with this ponified preview, maybe, just maybe, i might give this abortion a chance... as for your thesis though, i gotta ask wtf degree are you shooting for? lol, seriously i am curious with that thesis subject! edit; left out an important word there.

    one thing i think you missed, the show was originally intended to end with this finale. think about it, these shows are done with a contract, what would make sense for the third season to have half as many episodes? they weren't initially expecting the show to last longer than that, so they planned for it to end with twilight's ascension in this last ep, selling one last batch of toys. then along come the bronies, a whole new batch of people to sell toys and other licensed merch to, a reason to keep going. even as artistically challenged as i am, i can think of a slew of potential ideas for future episodes with twi as a princess and alicorn. so why wouldn't they continue beyond the original end-point? i personally have great respect for the writers keeping to this original plan and making twi an alicorn now, knowing that there would be some bronies freaking out over it.
