  1. so no discussion thread? normally aren't those started shortly before the actual episode airs?
  2. ah, thanks, now to wait another 15 minutes...
  3. liked mainly for the hilarity, and that i saw this pic before i became a brony lol
  4. ok, that pic is pure win, but i have no idea what is about to happen, never could get into that series.
  5. when lifting large volumes of water, every last bit of power helps, no matter how small. anyhow i think this ep will be more about the character interaction than the forming/use of a tornado to supply cloudsdale with water for the rainy season.
  6. well that would depend on equestrian labor laws as well as his track record with the company. also most crane operators are responsible for their own equipment, like a soldier is responsible for their own gun.
  7. hmm, now it's a matter of how long after the message does twi cause catastrophe... i'm betting in the 3rd minute after future twi goes away.
  8. fix'd shyness was overcome by assertiveness, now it's a matter of fear/self confidence, remember in dragonshy she was scared of the heights...
  9. got my day of therapy at the firing range, two liter sodas really do make awesome targets on topic though i'll stay cautiously optimistic untill season three episode 14, then we will see for certain, not getting my hopes too high until then. how would i like derpy? if voiced again i would think a compromise between the two existing voices (original did seem just a tad boyish after a few listenings) and sometimes clumsy would be great (luna eclipsed, when she rose out of the apple bobbing tank was absolutely awesome!) but i'd be happy just to see her, as we have, in the background.
  10. almost woke up my brother laughing at that! on topic though, i find the personalities of most of the characters to be attractive, while rarity isn't my favorite i think she'd be the most compatible with me, twilight as close second. as for the asthetics, i'd say appealing moreso than attractive.
  11. as you asked, underlined for clarity of the point you've been defending; "i don't see how it would cost anything at all..." that statement, says the work would be done for free.
  12. thank you. lol, thats what i smelled somtime around here; and i'm the troll?
  13. except that you haven't, as a mechanic i am contracted to do a job, then i am contracted to do a different job. making the show is a job, fixing already made episodes is a different job, if hasbro demanded shows be redone for free they'd never get another show made, you have to pay to get work done, pure and simple. also your analogy of apples to oranges =/= apples to small bits of glass is far off, perhaps you mean apples to apples =/= apples to oranges (oranges easily replaced by anything but apples) do not think me simple for expecting people to demand pay in return for work done. your argument is flawed in that you're expecting animators to take up a new task (redoing derpy) for no charge, there is a cost to do that, if there is no cost paid there will be no work done, that is a fact of life, and if you've been screwed in such a fashion as you describe an animator's pay rate to be then i have a lawn you can mow for $200, but you'll have to mow it 200 times because i said so.
  14. not sure that it is, it did come from FB, but i do know from when my bro was in the marines it was not uncommon for the guys who had kid sisters and/or brothers to keep a small toy around for memory sake.
  15. very true lol, but you can generally make an educated guess...
  16. saw a story on FB about a soldier who kept a molded FS under the mags in his breast pocket and took a hit which the magazine stopped most of but the FS stopped a piece of shrapnel which would have likely gone to his aorta, if true then fluttershy saved a soldier's life... he had it because of his little sis though, i remember that from the article, and she had made him a brony as he could keep up while deployed.
  17. if a back to the future reference is made i'm telling you, it'll be gravity related...
  18. never would have guessed... jk
  19. as a mechanic if i was pulled from one job to redo another for unfounded customer complaint (initial episodes were prouced as was desired by hasbro) then i would fully expect to be paid for whatever little time was spent on the newly requested job. one hour or 1 minute i'd expect to get paid. if i weren't paid then i'd let every mechanic in town know that customer "X" refuses to pay and thus "X" would find that NO ONE would do their work as they have failed to pay, or demand payment up front. don't think me naive, people work for MONEY, and if a job is extended by an alteration to plans then pay must also be equally altered. it would not be a zero cost. if you are correct then i have a hard time finding any logical reason for anyone to work that field until major revisions are made to how people are paid. what you are talking about is free labor, and while that may on occasion work with family (and even then not often, least not with mine) you'd be hard pressed to find anyone who'd work for a company and provide free service of even a few minutes, time on the clock = money in pocket = food on table.
  20. or a sign of horribly bad business practices along with a failed attempt at exploitation of need. as he then sold the cherry for 2 bits to another customer rather than waiting for FS to haggle from the much higher price i'd say stupidity + exploitation.
  21. given that the price for the tomatoes doubled in one week, i'd call the merchant shady, especially given that we know equestrian weather is controlled. also i'd think the bazaar type market with tents for merchant stalls would indicate that the merchants travel, thus non local.
  22. wrong, at least on the pay, as the original work was not defective or poorly animated, if it were a mistake on the animators part then i would see them not getting paid to fix what they should have gotten right the first time, this is however not the case. the case here is that an existing work would have to be re-edited/animated to some extent, that would take time (regardless how little) which would require payment for services rendered, if they refused to pay they would not have any studio that would take their work. end result is redoing any of it WILL cost money at some point, noone i've ever known works for free, and animators have homes and bills which require them to get paid in order to live just like the rest of us.
  23. interesting thoughts on pinkie's behaviour, but remember what she learned in the last episode, invading personal space and being insanely hyperactive is often annoying to others, with that in mind i will say though that i do think she was a tad out of character, but not as much considering the previous lesson she had learned. another thought come to mind as well, with pinkie in full gear they would have had to cut a lot of her screen time from this episode to prevent it shifting towards her, with her slightly more mellow and less bubbly she was able to provide the needed elements to the episode without dominating it.
