All righty! Just finished up GoT Season 7! Can't wait to talk about it with . . . wait . . . what . . . wwwwWHAT?! People don't like it?! That's TWO of my favorite shows with a poorly received seventh season for no good reason?!

You know those shows which have superheroes who unintentionally cause just as much harm as good without knowing it? Those group of young people you wouldn't exactly feel safe around, who take advantage of their gifts and treat them like they're toys to be played with?
That's how I picture the Human Seven. Sunset I'd feel safe around, but the others? Something tells me Sci Twi wouldn't be as entirely responsible as her equine self.

Likewise I'm in total agreement that SciTwi wouldn't be as careful as Twilight proper. Sure, Twilight gets enthusiastic about magic and has, in the past, abused it. Thing is, that was either out of desperation (Lesson Zero) or total ignorance of what she was doing (the cutie-mark mix-up). For the most part, Twilight studiously observes a system of practice and ethics. She knows what she's doing. In contrast, SciTwi may scientifically observe magic and want to understand it, which isn't bad, but she simply doesn't have the proper context to handle thaumaturgy the same way she does say, chemistry.

Almost time for my favorite holiday. I would like to say I've been reading Captain America comics and playing Fallout to get into the mood, and I have been doing both of those, but really, Philly born and raised patriot that I am, it's never difficult to call to mind the events that birthed my home.
To still honor the occasion though, I will share one of my favorite all time quotes.

Fair enough. It kind IS a lot to condense. Thing is though, the phrase is "jives with Christianity." I think what people mean when they say that isn't "MLP jives with the Bible" and more "MLP jives with the teachings I've learned." Do unto others, random acts of kindness, not being selfish to the detriment of others. That kind of thing.
