I guess your right, well, besides that, I thought it was good. It had a couple of plot problems, and the animation looked choppy at times, but the ups out weigh the downs. Oh, and the reference. How I loved the references
My husband was very impressed by it. Called it "engaging" which by his standards is a thumbs up (for the most part) yeah, animation was a bit out of their league since they took FIM and humanized it not just with characters, but also environment.
DHX knows how to make really good slice of life episodes, not epic adventure arcs let alone a feature length movie! So I cut them some slack, since Hasbro is the one pulling the strings. They did their best working with what they have been given.
