Hehe, yea, the internet is also how I found out about the fandom and the show also. So hey, so glad that you found this place and I sure hope you have lots of fun here, I know I have!

Well, for an earth pony like big mac I could understand him having this huge hulking Master Chief type armor, because he would actually be strong enough to lug it around, and well, he's an earth pony anyway so he wouldn't have to worry about agility when flying. While if a pegasus wore too much armour their would be no way to get off the ground, WHICH, yet again brings up another point, their wings, what would keep another aerial enemy from just simply one, cutting off their opponents wings, or two shooting arrows upwards towards the belly area and also aiming for the wings as well. I really don't think that armour is going to protect them much, I think that the greatest advantage of a pegasus in battle would be their sheer agility, and since high powered rifles don't knowingly exist in Equestria then I believe that most pegasai could get to a high enough altitude too dodge any thing in terms of incoming projectiles, magic bursts etc...

It just sort of depends really, some days I almost feel like an old man after a hard day of work, while other times I feel like a 13 year old kid that knows nothing about life.

I am also from Nebraska, AWESOME, never though I would meet another brony on here from Nebraska for some reason, but HEY, WELCOME TO THE FORUMS, and of course have an awesome time!!!!!

I think the shows just about as dark as it is is going to get, I mean already we have the two sisters backstory, Sombra getting killed, and a few mental breakdowns as well.

With that being said, YES, it would be pretty awesome to see a dark more adult version of MLP, maybe it could kinda have the same feel to it as a few darker animes and the like.

Well, my favorite color has always been blue way before I started liking ponies, though that is a typical color for guys to like you never know, it may have been a bit of a hint of what was to come.

Dash sighed at the notion of once again taking up more time, all she really wanted to do in all honesty is just fly fast and show off a little and possibly make a few loud "BOOMS" Over Ponyville, but at the rate this was going so far it looked like it would be nightfall before they actually got anything done.

"Fine."

Dash said in defeat she pulled up a cloud and layed down on it. "You guys go on, I'll be here chilling when you get back." Dash Said as she looked down at them with one eye open.

Dash had to chuckle a bit at the mention of Gilda getting into a few fights here and their, Dash always knew she was not the type to just take criticism from anyone else, weather it be ponies, other griffons or what have you.

Dash was then a bit shocked at the mention of Tirek and the horrors he had brought upon Ponyville, though with as wide spread as that disaster really was it really didn't surprise her all that much once she thought about it.

"Hehe, yea, this one guy by the name of Tirek was going around sucking all the magic out of everypony he could find, he even TRIED to get the princesses magic as well, though thankfully both of the sisters gave all their power to Twilight for a short time in order to avoid that," Dash paused a moment as she gathered her thoughts as she continued, "now that I think, that was the closest we have ever came to actually losing in terms of bad guys EVER!"

Dash then frowned a bit...."And you KNOW how I hate losing.." Dash finished with a smirk.

"Of course though, after Tirek eventually stole Twilights magic along with the magic that the princesses had gave her our only option was to re awaken the elements that we had to give up earlier using the "Keys" that we had all received by representing all of all elements in our day to day lives." Dash then grew a big smile and puffed out her chest a little. "And of course that's when things got awesome, we used the keys on this one box and got rainbow powers and after that we easily defeat Tirek, Twilight even got a new home, or, ugh, castle off of the deal." Dash finished.

Dash giggled at the little filly's expressions as she zipped around the sky busting up clouds in hardly no time at all, but when she asked the question of rather or not she wanted to give the cloud busting a try Dash almost buried her own head on the clouds at how bad that statement may have possibly made Scoots feel. Dash stopped a moment and plopped down on the cloud where she had placed the orange filly. Dash thought for a moment, "Hmm, what to do, what to do..." And just then the light bulb seemed to click in Dashes head. "I got and idea!!!" Dash said excitedly as she jumped back into the air and hovered next to Scootaloo.

"Okay, remember how me and my friends and all of you guys went camping with us?" Dash said as she began to crack a smile, "Well, you flew just fine then....well, with some help of course, so why not just do the same thing we did then?" Dash said as she quickly  grabbed the filly by the forhooves and began to fly. Dash kept gaining speed and gaining speed until she finally hoisted up the filly to the side of her with her right forhoof. "Okay, buzz those wings!" Dash commanded as she was actually starting to have a bit of difficulty holding the filly up with just one hoof, hopping that even though the filly couldn't actually fly yet, that at the very least her wing power would once again take some of the weight off of her one hoof.

People like the idea of a pony being able to fly around, or preform magic at will in their RP's, vs just being a simple earth pony that can grow crops. Even people that don't RP and just want an OC for the sake of having an OC normally prefer a pegasus or unicorn over earth just simply because of they seemingly have more abilities than an earth pony.

Hey, everyone has their weapon of choice. (Or rather should.) If you'd rather carry a gun than a blade, the gun would be more effective. Just as much, a sword would be more effective than a gun for me. Yeah, yeah, we can argue practicality all day but the fact remains, I know how to fight with a sword effectively and am a terrible shot. The inverse would be likely true with you.

 

It's the man, not the weapon that matters.

LOL, that blade really isn't even for self defense, though it CAN be It's mainly just useful to have a good knife on you to cut, rope, boxes or anything else that needs to be cut, I actually need to get my blade re sharpened on that one as it is all chipped and what not from years of using it as a can opener and hacking sticks in two.

I managed to pick up one of these for $180 shipped. They are discontinued and I see them on Ebay at a ridiculous $250 + S&H so I'm happy I avoided the out-of-production markup.

Not very easy at all to be honest, I really don't go around telling people that I like the show and I also don't wear a lot of pony clothing or anything either, other than that I just look like your typical Nebraska country boy. However, my brother who is a whole state away knows, and my mom who is also a state away knows as well, neither one of them has really thought much of it. Really the only way someone will get to know I'm a brony or that I am into MLP is if I feel comfortable enough around them to let them know. Like for instance at work the other day I was on my hour lunch and I was talking to a fellow co worker who was running the cashier at the time, I saw her looking at minecraft stuff so that is why I asked, well of course buy that shelf of Yugioh and Pokemon stuff and all that their was also pony stuff so of course I couldn't resit pointing out a Rainbow Dashie, and of course the lady really didn't judge or care much. While many other people I know their probably wouldn't be nearly as kind.

So really, I will admit to liking MLP if someone asks, but other than that their is really no reason to just randomly say I like ponies.

Heh, as could I as well, I could also see an episode like that turning into a repeat of the episode where Hank became a gamer, Hank would find Bobby watching ponies, have a freak out fit, but then when the rest of the family is gone he may be flipping through the channels and stop on something pony related, at first he would keep going but then eventually curiosity would get the best of him and he would actually become a brony himself and try to hid it from the everyone else.

Get turned into my OC of course, what else?

YES, so much yes, if it would at ALL be possible to include this in the notifications in the future than that would probably be the best small change ever made to the site, I have seen status updates countless times from people I don't even remember adding to my friends list simply because they have changed their name,in which case it would it would just be sort of nifty to get notified to the change.

I love this fandom almost 100 percent because of the awesome people that I have meant and gotten to know through it, where else can grown ass men (and teens), get together and watch, talk about, create fan works etc, all for a show that was originally made for 4 year old girls, it's truly amazing, and while it's true that absolutely no fandom is perfect, we for the most part have a wonderful thing going on.

Meeting my OC would be exactly the same as meeting myself, a bit hot under the collar at times, kind of a bit dense at times as well, not to mention the we technically have the same voice as well, so....

AWESOME! I love the way that it is actually semi realistic while it still seems to be mixed a little bit with the older gens of MLP as well, very unique design and awesome job!
