And for the record I have been a moderator on many a site and I can tell you from experience that a good Moderator leads by example, not by dishing out warnings and reying to bust everyone for things that should only require minor discipline. Kindness and a big but stern heart are what make a good leader. Not overzealousness and a thirst for power.

I was a moderator on another site where a new owner took over, abused his power and made his cronies moderators and while I don't think something that drastic will happen here anytime soon it has still left a bad taste in my mouth that makes me even more sensitive to this kind of thing. If there is abuse than that moderator needs to go, nobody should have to leave because someone placed in a position of trust is abusing their power.
