      Well, do you have to fight said zubat in a certain place, or does it work for any zubat?

      This is why I don't like EV training. It's a pain! >.<

       

      Any Zubat would do.

       

      I know that in X and Y its simplified. Like, you fight hordes to make it go faster. A horde of 5 zubats would give you +5 speed. (Not saying zubats give speed its just an example).

       

      Anyways there are only so many points to each pokemon, so manipulating makes it easier to choose what points go where.

       

      You could make your pokemon really fast, or have great def...
