@, Ceres put both hooves to her muzzle in a desperate attempt to muffle her laughing. It failed. Her giggle quickly grew into a volumous laughter, tears rolling down her cheeks. After a few moments, Ceres took a few deep breaths and wiped the tears from out of her face. "Oh my... Wish you really are something you know that?" Ceres almost lost herself in another bout of laughter. 'No! This is bad... funny.. but bad! I need to be serious! But... it's so hard...' Ceres finally calmed herself and placed a comforting hoof on Wish's shoulder, careful to avoid any contact that could be misconstrued. "Wish, I might think you're attractive, and I might be into mares and stallions alike. But that doesn't mean that your not my friend." Ceres withdrew the hoof and scratched her chin with it idly. "Although... you are fun to tease. And I really wouldn't mind if... Well lets not get ahead of ourselves shall we?" Ceres nodded in the air, towards nothing in particular. Affirming some point to herself that only she could ever understand. Ceres turned back to Wish and smiled comfortingly. "But you do have a point. Let's head back to the cabins and get some sleep." Ceres walked her way over to the cabins, walking inside and hopping onto her bed. She turned and gave both Wish and Evergreen a quiet, "Goodnight," before heading beneath her covers and passing out, a small smile played on her face.

@@Nomadic, Sure... blame Ceres, she's obviously the center and cause of everypony's problems XD On an unrelated side-note: I do plan on bringing my character back to the cabin... but I really can't do anything until CinderScribe posts... with some kind of reaction to my post... cause it's kind of a delicate situation I put into play between my character and CinderScribes character so... yeah.

@@Nomadic, I'm with you on that front! Its honestly just good RP etiquette to do so!

@@Nomadic, I like your style of retribution! (it's the same reason my character had a beef with Pelate in the first place XD )

@, Ceres laughed heartily, swatting playfully with a hoof. "Oh, I swing both ways." Ceres composed herself and gave Wish a sly grin, her eyes twinkling mischievously. "But, I don't recall ever asking you anything..." 'Well, all is not lost; a change in tactics may be in order though. Although, her reaction was quite priceless. I must say, if nothing else, I have my amusement for the night indeed.'

@, Ceres grinned, raising an eyebrow and leaning in closely to Wish, lowering her voice to a seductive tone. "So you like my eyes, do you?" Pausing for effect, Ceres held her gaze, looking into Wish's Amythyst colored eyes. Slowly looking up in contemplation, she said, "I guess I could have any colt... or mare I wanted..." Again, Ceres paused. She wanted to let that last statement sink in before anything else were to pass. Smiling, she glanced back at Wish. "I might have a pony or two I've got my eye on... But your not too bad yourself you know, your eyes compliment your mane color and style quite well if I do say so myself." Ceres licked her lips, suppressing any further predatory instincts. 'Just a little bit longer... just a little bit longer...' Ceres stopped and let go of Wish, only to step to the side and look directly in her eyes in the moonlight, smiling as she did so. They had arrived at the lake, the soft rippling of the water crashing against the shoreline the only sound besides their conversation. The light of the moon reflecting off of the water illuminated both ponies features gracefully, accenting the curves and shedding a soft light on the landscape.

@, "Hmmm?" Ceres pondered for a moment, considering what avenue to take to get the best results. 'The indirect method is probably best right now, I don't know how she feels about anypony else.' "Anypony catch your eye?" Ceres looked over quizically, as she led them towards the lake. The lake would be the perfect little escape and the reflective waters under the moonlight would heighten the mood.

@, Ceres chuckled mirthfully, giving Wish a light squeeze with her foreleg. "Sounds like your having fun while you go off on your own after all, despite the current objective." Grinning, Ceres eyed Wish hungrily. "So, in your travels have you met any ponies that are special to you?"

@, Ceres laughed heartily, lightly bopping Wish on the nose. "I never said you couldn't take care of yourself!" Ceres pulled Wish into a side-hug, her foreleg around Wish's shoulders. "I just said that you don't appear to be the type to strike out on your own. But I guess that would be a mis-characterization considering your cutie mark." Ceres winked at Wish as she glanced back at her flank. Smiling, Ceres continued the walk with Wish in her embrace. "So what about after you find him? What then?"

@, 'Oh? She just up and told me by herself. Very good... things are progressing well then.' Ceres smiled and nodded at Wish, closing in the distance just a bit more as they walked. "I can tell you care about him a lot. Especially to get you to up and leave like that, you don't strike me as the adventuresome type to be honest." Ceres chuckled lightly at her last comment. She composed herself before continuing, "Did he leave a message when he left? Like why he might have gone, or just to say that he cared for you?"

@, Ceres led Wish out of the cabin and onto a walkway outside the inner limits of the camp. She didn't want to have to deal with any other ponies after all. She grinned and walked closely to Wish, brushing her side every so often, just enough to initiate contact but not enough to become uncomfortable with their current level of relationship. Right now, as far as Ceres knew, Wish only saw her as a friend. Ceres planned on changing that over the course of the camp, but things need to be carefully maneuvered, or else she would end up making things very awkward for the rest of the duration of camp. 'I wonder if I should ask about what she's hesitant about. Maybe I should lead into it first...' "So Wish, tell me a little about yourself. I know you grew up on a farm, and you decided to go travelling but that's about it." (I'm so sorry, I wasn't trying to exclude you! You came in after I made my post. )

@@Descant,@, Ceres smiled and nodded. "That would be nice, I've been trying to get away from all this drama. I just need a break, you know?" Ceres noted Evergreen walking in and waived at her as she passed. 'Doesn't look like she wants to do anything. And besides, this is the perfect chance to get closer to Wish.' Ceres' smile widened as her thoughts ran with that idea. She grabbed Wish's hoof and hopped up, winking at Wish. "C'mon, let's go for that walk. I've been meaning to get you alone for hours."

@, Ceres looked over at Wish, her nose poked inside. She chuckled and waived for her to come in. "Wish, your more than welcome to come in. I'm not mad at you. And if I wanted to stay away from any of the mares this would be the last place I'd go." Ceres sat up on her bed and scooted over to the headboard, patting on the bed next to her, inviting Wish to take a seat. "So whats up? Got something on you mind?"

@,@, @@ParsoOfEquestria, Ceres removed her hoof and frowned. She expected a hurt and traumatic past, but she would not be in anypony's pity party, that much was certain. "And?" Ceres stood up and stared Pelate in his eyes, her brow furrowed. "Not everyone gets dealt a full house in poker. You sound like your miserable because you have one thing that hinders you, when you have a world of other possibilities open for you. Yes, not having your flight sucks. It would equally suck if I weren't able to walk. But you know what? Your able to walk, and talk, and function like a normal pony. Moping around and getting angry over it doesn't exactly help anything. Your parents might not have dealt with the situation very well, but that doesn't mean that they don't love you." Ceres was breathing hard, desperately trying to keep her voice from raising it's volume. Realizing that she was getting worked up, Ceres took a deep breath and calmed herself somewhat. "Pelate, I won't pretend to know how you feel about this. I won't even pretend to understand what your going through. But I will say this. If you keep going on like this, it will hold you back from ever having true happiness." Ceres punctuated her statement with a light hoof-stomp. Realizing just how much of a buzzkill the whole scenario was becoming, she sighed heavily. "I'm going back to my cabin." Ceres huffed and left the fire, sending an appologetic glance over to Wish. 'I wish I was able to spend more time with you, I didn't want to let you see that.' Ceres made her way back to the cabin and plopped onto her back, staring at the ceiling. 'I need a break from all this stupid drama.'

Just go over to someone's character and say "hey, what's going on? Mind if I join in....?" No-one is going to berate you for trying to socialize. And groups are easily approached, they tend to grow and shrink periodically.

@,@, @@ParsoOfEquestria, 'Ah yes, the hesitation. He's been hiding this for a while now hasn't he? Maybe that's why he tends to be a jerk sometimes. That could explain a lot...' Ceres strode up and placed a comforting hoof on his shoulder, smiling comfortingly at Pelate. "You don't have to force yourself. If you want to tell somepony, you're more than welcome to, but nopony is going to force you." 'Besides, I've already figured out the basics. But the act of confessing will open up an opportunity that I can't miss.'

@,@, @@ParsoOfEquestria, Ceres raised an eyebrow, looking from Wish to Parso, then back again. "Huh." Ceres shrugged. The two had bonded while she was away, but Ceres was fine with that, it wouldn't impede her plans. However, when Pelate made his own comment, Ceres studied him. 'He seems to be distressed about the idea of flying. And since he's a pegasus then that means...' "Pelate, is there something on your mind? Something you want to tell somepony?"

@, Your character is kinda going out of his way to avoid other ponies... do you expect other ponies to go the extra mile just for yours?

@@ParsoOfEquestria,@, @, 'Is everypony here a wanderer?' Ceres' ears had been swiveling, giving her the best possible quality of sound. She had taken the marshmallows offered by Parso and stuck it on the end of the stick she had charred. Gently roasting the marshmallow to a golden brown, Ceres ate it off the stick and added another. However, Ceres did catch one particular detail that caught her curiosity. She cocked her head over to gaze at Wish, and said, "You went... flying?"

Update has been posted for Gears of Romance (Chapter 5)! In addition, some grammatical errors for the previous four chapters have been corrected.

"They will stay as they are," Ceres remarked sharply. 'Yet another pony who just can't understand my methods. I suppose the world is full of them after all. My greenhouse is my only safe-haven in all of this.' Glad to have a distraction, Ceres smiled at Parso. "That's a great idea! We can roast some marshmellows at the fire!" Ceres rolled her eyes. 'Up-tight pony. She really needs to loosen up.' Deciding to just drop it, Ceres decided to gather some sticks from fallen branches nearby, luckily they were still a bit wet so they wouldn't burn as easily. She returned and smiled at Parso. "Want to help me sterilize these?" Ceres laid a few of the sticks on the ground and began to run a few of the stick ends over the fire, letting them char before blowing out the flames that lept up onto the sticks.

Well... Ceres DID make a pony-eating cabbage as her first cross-breed... :U

@@Descant, Just wanted to say that you brought up a very good argument in the RP, so it took me a minute to think of what Ceres would say to that. So, yay for critical thinking!
