@@Descant, 'Did she just... flick her tail at me?' Ceres stared at Evergreen as she walked out the door. 'Wow... She's a lot more forward than I thought... I didn't know she liked me like that.' Ceres grinned wickedly as she trotted up next to the mare, brushing off the dirt on her way. As she caught up to Evergreen, she gave her a small return flick of her tail to see what her reaction would be. She grinned at Evergreen, a mischievous spark in her eyes. 'And the game begins...' "I'd agree with you. I've only seen him on the outskirts and he didn't even acknowledge me..." Ceres frowned as she thought of that. "It seems that a lot of stallions have yet to learn any decent manners these days. What are you planning on doing now? I know you just got here, but do you have any plans?"

I'd like to remind everyone that despite popular opinion, no one has told Ceres about the party that is supposedly going on at eight pm. Just an FYI.... -
@@Descant, "Huh?" Ceres looked down at her side, finding the dirt that had latched itself onto her coat. Ceres shrugged, looking back over at Evergreen. "Eh, it'll wash out." "So who was that colt anyways? He never told me his name." Ceres looked down at her own saddlebag of belongings next to her bed, deciding that she didn't want to bother with unpacking yet.
-
@@Descant, "Just follow me." Ceres grinned and winked at her. Ceres released Evergreen from her side-hug and trotted through the camp, eventually ending at the cabins. Ceres looked around a bit in confusion, her brow creasing. For some reason they had changed the cabins around. Ceres walked from cabin to cabin, looking at the signs, and was relieved to see that the cabin that held her and Wish's stuff was still the mares cabin. Smiling, she turned around and said, "Here it is! C'mon inside!" Ceres made her way inside and smiled, "I'm on the closest bed and Wish is on the farthest bed. Which means that you get the middle!" Ceres was beaming happily, her eyes shining brightly. 'Oh this should definitely be fun. Yes, I can see the shenanigans I will play now...'
-
@@Descant,@, Ceres put a hoof around Evergreen's shoulders, smiling widely as she looked her in the eyes. "Nice to meet you Evergreen! I don't think that anypony will care if you just drop your stuff off into the mare's cabin though. The supervision here is really minimal. I've seen maybe three staff members the entire time I've been here and it wasn't for very long."
-
@,@@Descant, Ceres broke through the trees and brush, having lost Monkshood at some point in returning to camp. Immediately in front of her were two ponies, an orange unicorn stallion and a pale yellow unicorn mare. Ceres had seen the orange stallion off on his own at the campsite, but the mare was new. Ceres mentally sighed and resigned to the fact that at some point, meeting them would be inevitable. Ceres approached the pair, smiling and introduced herself. "Hello there, I've seen you around before," she said, indicating the stallion. "But I haven't seen you." Ceres nodded to the mare as she continued, "I'm Ceres. What brings you out here?"
-
@@Nomadic, Ceres grinned. "Sure, I'd like that." Ceres followed Monkshood back to the camp. To be honest, Ceres wasn't quite sure why she had the sudden urge to show off Viola. But something told her that this was the right path to take, and Ceres always followed her intuition. It had served her well in the past and never mis-guided her yet.

@@Nomadic, Ceres ran through the woods, dodging the trees and brush. Eventually, the trees and brush opened up into a circular clearing with a clear view of the blue sky. Ceres happily slowed to a trot and stopped at the center of the clearing, staring up at the sky for a few moments. Smiling, Ceres turned to Monkshood. "You want to see one of my children?" Not even waiting for an answer, Ceres produced a seed seemingly from out of nowhere, and proceeded to plant it in the ground where she stood. Stepping back, Ceres strolled over to Monkshood's side and took a seat. Careful to watch his expression as the scene unfolded before them. A few minutes passed before anything happened. When it did happen, a beautiful violet colored flower with long petals and a moderately large stem sprouted from the ground almost instantly. The petals opened as the flower bloomed, releasing a few spores into the air. the inside of the petals had various patterns of black color inlaid with the violet plumes. The spores had reached the ground, more and more violet flowers popping up one after the other. "This is Viola. She's a rapidly regenerating flower that serves no real purpose but to look beautiful. Her leaves are non-toxic and can be used for coloring, but they're not really good for much else. And they can only grow in clearings, once they hit a space that is over-grown with brush they stop multiplying." As if on cue, a few spores that had attempted to penetrate the woods fell and died upon hitting the ground. The ground around Ceres and Monkshood was now covered in the violet flowers in full bloom. "My favorite part is what happens at night, the leaves glow in the dark and give a serene violet glow to everything it touches." Ceres smiled, carefully caressing a nearby flower. It had only been a maximum of fifteen minutes, but the approximately twenty foot diameter clearing was now a resting bed for her Viola.

@@Nomadic, "Oh? Sounds like an excellent excuse to be all work and no play." Ceres teased Monkshood. "C'mon! I want to go check something out!" Ceres trotted at a quick pace through the forest to an undisclosed location. She had a feeling that the path would lead to a clearing soon, given the way that the plants were growing around them. Her intuition told her there was a great spot in the forest not too far away.
-
@@Nomadic, "I never suggested that. I meant in between jobs of course. Or am I misunderstanding the nature of your work?" Ceres asked, a genuinely curious tone in her voice. "Now that I think of it, do you just wander from town to town or do you get called from one town to the next?"
-
@@Nomadic, Ceres frowned. She had predicted this answer, but still didn't like putting ponies into sad emotional states unless it was absolutely necessary. Though, she could use this. Ceres walked closer to Monkshood, brushing up against him in a comforting gesture, smiling. "From what I've learned so far, it's not always the length of the relationship but the quality of it. I've had some really good times with ponies who left the next week, never to be seen again. And who knows? Maybe you will see somepony you get to know really well again. After all, I'd like to think that it's possible to run into eachother." Her smile grew a bit wicked as she continued, a sparkle in her eyes that portrayed a bit of predatory instinct. "Or you could just seek them out. You tend to travel so you could always just seek them out whenever you get the urge.."
-
@@Nomadic, "Hmmm..." Ceres thought for a moment, trying to think of something that might have a negative effect. "Just don't eat the bush... I don't think it would be good. I had to add in a few breeds in there to get the color right, and I'm not sure how they all came out yet. I'm still trying to reverse the bush and turn it back into a tree." Ceres turned her attention back to Monkshood, who had just eaten some berries from a nearby bush. Ceres chuckled, smiling at Monkshood. "So I take it you don't get attached to ponies often? I mean, form long lasting relationships? I can imagine being a traveling apothecary might get in the way of forming any kind of deep bond with ponies."
-
@@Nomadic, Ceres considered Monkshood's proposal for a moment. Considering that she could get away with giving him a few seeds that weren't harmful, she conceeded. "Sure, that wouldn't be a problem I think. I might have a few in my bags at the cabin. One of the projects I'm working on is candycane trees and so far all I can get is candy cane colored bushes. Not sure how trees became bushes...." Ceres scratched her head, deep in thought. The hybrid she had used for this plant had been through several complex layers of breeding and so she had to figure out which part or parts had that effect and where to correct it.
-
@@Nomadic, "Oh! You've just given me an idea for glowing wheat stalks! I could make them glow green and it'd be really eerie! Yes!" Ceres was ecstatic at the idea, filing it away in her memory bank for later. As she didn't see any reaction to her getting closer, Ceres just kept the distance constant. "So, what else would you like to know?"
-
@@Nomadic, Ceres trotted along aimlessly with Monkshood at her side. "Oh? I can see how you can come to that conclusion I suppose." Ceres looked up, scrunching up her face in an attempt to find the right words. Ceres turned her face back to Monkshood. "What I meant was that they get incredibly lonely. Trust me, if I planted any of my babies here they would flourish. In fact, I've taken precautions so that they don't over-run Canterlot. I even made an agreement with the director that he had to go and tend to my own garden while I was gone if he was going to force me on this vacation. Some of them would even cannabalise eachother, making the whole Greenhouse a warzone!" Ceres sighed, "I really don't want that to happen for obvious reasons. I love all of my children and they tend to get restless when mamma isn't home." Ceres edged herself a little bit closer to Monkshood as they walked, gauging his reaction. "How about you? You said your a traveling apothecary, I'm sure you have quite the repituare of concoctions in that satchel of yours."

Ok, so I'm not sure how familiar everyone is with forum RPs so i'll just post a friendly reminder to everyone. It is totally OK for someone to post their actions retro-actively. What do I mean by this? Give the current situation with my character. I've moved my character away from Wish and Parso, but Ceres already asked Wish a question. It is therefore OK for Wish to respond to the question and then react to the subsequent events as they unfold in one post. Just because you weren't online doesn't meant that you lost your chance to contribute, it just means that your actions are retroactive and get fitted into the timeline where they are appropriate. Just had to give everyone a heads up -

@@Nomadic, Yes, although I'd modify that statement to "Google is your friend" -
@@Nomadic, @, @@ParsoOfEquestria, "Hmm..." Ceres scratched her chin with a hoof. This was a predicament. Here she was with Parso and Wish... well, given that Parso seemed nice but Ceres was more interested in wrapping Wish around her hoof than anything else at that particular moment. But here was Monkshood who was also a high priority target. 'Well, Wish is a mare so I can always get to her in the cabin later. Plus it's a good thing to stagger your encounters and not stay with one person for too long...' Ceres nodded, "Alright, I'll take a walk with you. Sorry Parso, Wish, I won't be too long I'm sure. I'll catch up with you later!" Ceres leaned in close to Wish and whispered into her ear. "I'll see you tonight ok? Don't go running off to play and have shenanigans without me. I don't want to be left out." Ceres winked at Wish and walked out of the lodge, motioning for Monkshood to follow her.

@@Nomadic, Ok, so a disclaimer here would be that I don't REALLY know anything about plant hybrids and whatnot (most of that knowledge being only up to Biology 101 college level), so I might end up making some stuff up. Just roll with it, even if it's wrong XD -
@@Nomadic,@,@@ParsoOfEquestria, Ceres looked up from Wish, noticing Monkshood. Ceres smiled warmly, motioning for him to take a seat with her, Wish, and Parso. "Hey Monkshood! Good to see you! Take a seat, how have you been?" Ceres had of course been watching Monkshood from the corner of her vision. She simply had noted that he was sitting with Pelate, and left it at that. Ceres would not tell other ponies who to hang out with, she could only encourage them to be loyal to her.

@,@@ParsoOfEquestria, Ceres smiled at Wish. 'Good. I was hoping for a positive response to my... profession.' "Yup, I sure did! I'm actually here at camp because of my recent creation. Sedative corn! Apparently the taste-testers didn't know about the sedative part and they got knocked out for a few days." Ceres chuckled, "The director was furious! It was hilarious!" Ceres calmed herself, "So Wish, where have you been in Equestria so far? Have you been able to travel much since you've discovered your cutie mark? You do seem to be a bit young..." Ceres eyed Wish over carefully, taking in the most minute of details. As she did so, she rambled. "Yes, your form seems to be a bit more supple than a fully matured mare, and your coat seems to have a bit more of a sheen to it. Your eyes..." Ceres stopped, looking into Wish's eyes. Then she smiled, "Your eyes show an innocence in them that I haven't seen in ages."

Lol! I thought this was pretty good! It was a nice jab and well done just like their previous brony video. I agree that you have to learn to take things in stride and learn to laugh at yourself, and realize that CollegeHumor is definitely full of exaggerations! The brony community is, in my opinion, like the new 'Trekies'. The new uber-nerds of the nerd-dom. If a nerd could get nerdier, he/she would only have to become a brony. And their transformation would be complete.

@@ParsoOfEquestria,@, 'There it is again...' Ceres took note of Wish's hesitation, but decided against pressing the issue. It was becoming more and more obvious, but there was no need to test fate at this point. As Wish finished her tale, Ceres giggled and nudged Wish gently. "Oh, don't fret Wish! Your cutie mark is adorable!" Ceres smiled at Parso, "Indeed. Your cutie mark does seem to be a bit self-explanatory doesn't it?" Her smile grew into a grin as she recounted her own tale. "Mine is a bit more... abstract. This equal armed cross inside of a circle represents all of earth, everything that you can touch and feel with your five senses. I've applied it to making my babies though, I remember the first child I made like it was yesterday... such a troublesome child. Born of a cabbage and a venus-fly trap with a few other things added in, the pony-eating cabbage. He ended up getting me some forced vacation back then as well, having chewed a bit of the directer's tail off, and since then I've been confined to my more... eccentric experiments to my greenhouse." Ceres had dozed off as she talked about her first creation, smiling and staring off into the distance. She came to her senses and realized that not everpony shared her love for abstract nature and added in a sweet and soothing voice, "But don't get me wrong! My sweet little Kraig wouldn't hurt anypony badly. He just likes to play around is all."

@, @@ParsoOfEquestria, Ceres smiled and winked at Wish, "As if I could ever get tired of you." Hopping up and shaking herself off, Ceres smiled and said, "Alright everypony. Lets go get some chow!" Ceres started of towards the mess-hall in search of food to satisfy her hunger. Ceres eventually made it to the mess-hall and grabbed her plate of food and sat down, waiting for her companions to join her. Looking around, Ceres wondered if Monkshood would be in the mess-hall. 'I did invite him, but maybe he's off with other ponies right now? Not that it matters, worst comes to worst I'll just nab him when I see him next.' @@Nomadic,
