Commander Tangent

4 Hey guys

Lunar glared across the the group at the many young faces in front of him. They were all trying to find their way in this troubled world, and he knew that they would have many strong opinions on different subjects. He was trying to decided weather or not to get involved, possibly starting an argument. But he felt some of these people would need a bit of nudging, if they wanted to live longer. Thievery would likely get them killed. While some had different views on what a theif was, the type caliber was suggesting would be very dangerous to them. " I have to agree with Radiant, lowering to banditry is a bad path. I have seen many consumed by such a life, and eventually, ended by it. The owners of these possessions are dead, yes, but they have been long dead, and most have little value. We did not come in and end them for their possessions, but rather came upon the remains of what once was a great town and civilization, scavenging what we could. In any case, many of you are young.... I do not wish to see your potential spent traveling a path that is likely to lead to a dark and painful end." Lunar added. He grumbled a bit. Something in his earlier meditation had troubled him, and still was.

Lunar looked too Strider and gave him a smile. " perhapse I can even give some tips on it. One of the most relaxing things in life is tea with soft music" lunar said, standing up with a pop before leaning down again on all fours. He quite liked Strider, a calm and peaceful mind. He seemed to have his energies and his mind open. "I hope I get time to talk to the many people here too, they all seem so interesting." He smiled.

Lunar tilted his head as Red went by without a word to him. He assumed she must have been busy and unable to talk. He looked over to Tyra instead." Good morning, my young friend, you seemed to have slept well, as I have" he said with a smile. He packed up his things and looked ahead to the group. " it seems our friends are preparing for the day ahead"

Lunar awoke. Me at of the last day he had been quiet, in an almost meditate state. Today however he was wide awake. " good morning my companions, it is a new day and another chance to better ourselves from yesterday " he said, giving a wide smile to all those around him. " I trust you all slept well ?" He asked, standing up and letting his back pop as it released tension from last night.

Lunar nodded to the leader and smiled, " I shall make the best tea you have ever had, or my name isnt Lunar" He said, giving a smile before hearing many of the ponies around him talk about their back stories.He listened and nodded. " IT seems many of us have been through hardship, and the past has molded us into who we are. Do not dwell on your negative expereinces, and try to use them to better yourself. I kno that feeling of loss, it is not easy, though, I know it in a different way" Lunar said, walking alongside everyone.

Lunar had remained silent through most of the talking, but upon the request of the other leader, Radiant had offered them up to go with them. Lunar simply nodded and walked alongside the others. " I will be glad to help rid this area of bandits. Maybe it will contribute some towards the rebuilding of this area, if ponies and others ever come back" Lunar said, looking around at all the others. Alex was angry with him still, but he sensed.....something else was part of the problem. Usually, when a pony reacted in a strange way, there was another element at play. He would talk to her about it later. He looked to the leader, Strider. " After this, perhaps, we can sit down from some relaxing tea. I do love to treat others to the special way I make it" Lunar said with a great smile, trying to ease things in the group.

Lunar nodded to Strider, and sat down across from him, giving a smile. " My name, is Lunar, as I said. I am an older fellow, as you have probably guessed, but my age does not slow me down" He said, smiling. " So, it seems we are not the only band of ponies thrown together recently. My my, this is an odd day" Lunar said, looking from person to person. He wondered why they had all decided to come here, and what hand of fate had dealt it.

@@Reaver, Lunar looked to him. "I can try, but I feel she is dealing with a conflict right now. It may be best to wait till she cools down" Lunar said, looking back to the pony, " And my apologies for what happened " He said. He smiled to the new one. " And my name is Lunar, I wish we could have met in a more peaceful way, but none the less, a pleasure to meet you" He smiled, before going off towards Alex. Once he caught up to her, he tried to get her attention. " Alex. The pony back there wishes to speak with us. I know you are...angry with us, and are dealing with some stress. But I invite you to come, as he may have something interesting to say, something the you may want to hear" Lunar said, before nodding his head and heading back towards Reaver. @, "My young friend, we have all done unreasonable acts this day, including you. But we all have reasons behind them, thought processes that led to action, and I would like to hear them. Learning from ones mistakes, and others mistakes, is how one becomes better as a person" Lunar said to caliber. The pony seemed to hold himself high, and avoid admitting his mistakes. Perhaps in the future, that could change. Lunar hoped so.

@, "Alex, all we saw was you getting held up. What would you expect us to do ? And when Him and Tyra started to fight,, I had to move in to make sure neither of them damaged each other" Lunar said to Alex, before looking back to Caliber. "OK....." He said, lifting his halberd and returning to his normal four legged position. " Now, may I suggest we talk about this indecent ? IT is obvious many view points were at play, and I would like to hear them, if you don't mind" Lunar offered to the ponies around him, and the dog.

Lunar breathed a sigh of relief. Tyra was a good pony, but she was also headstrong. He returned his attention to Caliber, making sure he didn move. " I need you to promise you will do nothing further to harm anypony here. No defeat, no victory. This was not a battle of a duel, young one, it was simply us making sure one of our friends was not harmed. You speak of honor, yet you attacked a random diamond dog, without any good reason, and held them at the end of your blade. I see no honor here" Lunar said, his face and demeanor remaining calm and collected.Keeping his attention on Caliber he spoke, " Alex ? Are you OK ?" He said.

He tried to yank down on the halberd, bad idea.At the distance Lunar was, he was safe from physical attack. Lunar used this movement to yank the sword down to the ground, and out of the hooves of the sword pony. With that, he raised the weapon, making sure it was positioned over his sword, and glared at Caliber. " You are at a loss, now stand down or I will be forced to take more drastic action" Lunar said, hoping to end the engagement.

"Aww Hell" Lunar said, dashing in with his halberd. There were other ponies there, but they didn't seem to be doing much, he wasnt sure how to react to them. But now was Lunar's time to act. He dashed in and while the two clashed he got within range with caliber and hooked his halberd onto his sword. " You are at a disadvantage, stand down. There is no more reason to be fighting !" Lunar said to caliber, ready to use the halberd to full efect

"My young friend, you drew your sword on one of our friend first, held them up without good reason, and threatened them with death, your reasoning is faulty" Lunar then looked to Alex and smiled, "But she is right ! those clouds are pretty good ! " Lunar said, " so maybe we can all go there and try some, if you will show you are friendly" Lunar said. This Swords pony seemed hot headed, something he could use. IF he didnt stand down it would be Lunar's goal to end this with little harm done to everyone.

@, Lunar narrowed his eyes on the swords pony. " There is little reason to fight, but I will defend myself if I must....but I suggest you dont, you are at a disadvantage by your weapon type" Lunar said to the swords pony, taking a battle position so his balance was good. He lowered the Halberd into a battle position, " Now lower your weapons, and we will lower ours ! " Lunar shouted at them.

@@Unicorncob, "I think that is it up ahead" Lunar said, trotting towards a large long building. IT had simple folding doors and the interior looked like it had what remained of tables and chairs, at least, what he could see from the outside. He looked to Tyra as they approached it and was about to say something before he saw quite the site. " Oh for Luna's sake" He said drawing his Halberd. IT looked like Alex was being held up by some more bandits. @@Little Red,@, "Tyra, battle ready !" He shouted running up to the confrontation. He ran up to the group, and went up on his back legs, rising to his full height, and preparing his Halberd. He would have an advantage on the sword pony. "You there ! Weapons down now ! Step away from her !" He shouted, his shield spiraling out into a defensive position.

@@Unicorncob, Lunar nodded and walked up to the corner of the basement were the stairs were. He quickly hopped up the stairs with use of his wings and looked down. "It's not any better up here temperature wise" He said, looking into the remains of the town. It was a bit hot out this morning, but the big killer was the sun, he could feel it beat down him already. " If I remember, it should be at the center of the town. He stepped out of the shelter after checking the local area for anyone, and smacked his beak with his tongue. He was thirsty, and all out of tea. If they didnt find anything, they would have to check for water at the old town well as well.

"For now, we need to just get up. I hear this place once had a saloon and a food store area. Maybe we can look for some tea leaves and other consumables ?" Lunar asked to Tyra, giving her a smile, " It would also give us some time to chat, and it's rare that I get to meet another person, and especially rare I meet one from the north who isnt trying to chop me in half" He said, walking over too Tyra.

LUnar sat in the corner, curled up in a soft fuzzy ball of fur and feathers, asleep. He had always been a deep sleeper, able to sleep through a lot. His tail shifted and swished around, still somewhat active as he entered a lighter sleep cycle. Soon enough though, he opened his eyes to everyone, giving them a wide smile. " Good morning, my little ponies and my other friends" He said, standing up and yawning, his back making a loud " CRACK !", " It seems to be yet another wonderful morning." He gleefully said.

Lunar nodded and gave a smile. " Trust is like a tree, at first, it is small and fragile, but with water and care, it grows big, strong, and beautiful, ready to shade those whom helped it grow" He said, giving a smile to the vampony as she walked away into the shelter again, " Have a good night, Amore" He said with a smile, before hearing A;ex's response to her. He looked over to the diamond dog and tilted his head oddly. " Well, ok then" he said giving a slight chuckle. He gave a stare at the cotton candy treat she had gotten earlier. He rarely ate them, mostly out of his hatred of them obstructing his ability to fly at higher altitudes, but he had to admit that they were a nice treat every now and then. " Excuse me, alex, would you mind if I had a tiny piece ? No problem if now" he smiled too her.

Lunar looked to her, and smiled at her. I would never think differently of you, based on what you are. Many cultures consider what I am, a griffin, to be an abomination. A monster. We divide ourselves on such petty things in this life sometimes" He says, giving her a smile," and as for the spell, even then I would not use it. It's not the right way to change someone who needs a change in their life."Lunar said, before cracking his smile wider, " Ponies may not always be trusting of us non- ponies, but the group back there does not seem too care, and I find that refreshing and kind of them, though it should be normal not to judge on ones species" He said
