  1. I think I'm more excited than I was about the second one. I was not really looking forward that one, but it turned out to be at least decent compared to the first. And now I am curious about human world Twilight.
  2. Playing Super Smash Bros. (starting all the way from Melee) with friends was a large part of my late childhood gaming. I loved it, and still love playing Brawl with my friends now, and can't wait until one of us gets a Wii U so that we can play the new one together.
  3. @Skullbuster, Pat heard the call on the radio, and decided, "Well since I'm already out here, I might as well go and make sure this doesn't get out of hand. Farewell troopers" He said as he left. He headed off toward the docks, swinging from building to building like spiderman, as he much enjoyed doing. He arrived to see three men around their van fiddling with the engine and arguing. Then he noticed a large black dragon silhouette nearby, and recognized where he'd seen that before.
  4. ((I'm back! Sorry it took so long to reply, but I'm still interested in this. Seems like everypony's staying towards the back of the group.)) Pat and River eventually found themselves at the front of the group, because for some reason it seemed like everypony kept faltering back. They continuously had to walk slower just to not leave the group behind. It seemed like nopony was at all comfortable being together in this group. Even Pat and, especially, River weren't all that comfortable, but sticking together helped them to ignore that awkward feeling. As the entire group ventured on through the Everfree Forest it seemed to become more eerie and creepy. The further they went, the closer River stuck to Pat, and the more Pat became wary and ready to act. They also grew quiet, as they became more inclined to listen to their surroundings than anything else. "I don't like this. I feel like something bad's going to happen..." "...But that's all I feel" Pat finished her sentence. They were thinking the same thing.
  5. @Skullbuster, Pat was a bit surprised and elated that he had been recognized, but he remembered his original objective. "Since you are here, what was going on, what were you looking at? I heard a lot of loud noises like explosions and gunfire. I was on my way to investigate, but it seems to have died down since then."
  6. @@Skullbuster, He was just going to keep moving when he heard one of the snipers shout out, and he realized that it was directed at him. "Me? Well given the huge increase in "activity" here recently, It was hard to ignore. Especially with this "FEAR" case going on. I don't think we've ever had this much excitement back home in a year!"
  7. ((I apologize for being gone on such short notice. I'm just going to try to jump right back in.)) Pat was jumping from roof to roof and gliding in between buildings, searching for anything out of the ordinary. Of course he wasn't asleep, how could he sleep with all the noises he heard. He then spotted the sniper team, and tried to find the location they were looking at.
  8. @Jellal Fernandes, "Um, Okay." He said after receiving the number. "I've got to get back to my room now. At this rate though, I'm sure something weird will happen again soon... Farewell" He said while heading towards the door. Then he left the apartment and went up to the roof, where he took off towards their hotel.
  9. @Jellal Fernandes, "First of all, you should know that I still don't condone revenge. That being said, maybe we can be allies, and I could be a sparring partner, though I don't know if this 'Justice League' thing will work out, as I don't know how much anyone else would be willing to join such a group; this isn't exactly a comic book."
  10. @Jellal Fernandes, "The government made a list? I guess I should've expected that. Listen, you put a lot of emphasis on my patriotism, and while it's true I am loyal to this country, I don't necessarily stand for America, I stand for what America is supposed to stand for. So if the government should ever... "go astray," You can bet that I will probably end up on their wanted list. That's why I don't want to involve myself with the government. I don't do this to put U.S. criminals in jail, I'm just here to protect innocent people and their freedom."
  11. As the train arrived at the station, Pat gently woke up River and started to gather their stuff. He helped get her wheels back on, and put all of his bags on, before they both exited the train. They joined the group on the platform outside. "Well-uh, here we are... I guess. So where do we head from here?" He asked openly for anypony to answer. "Uh... I think we head in that direction." River pointed towards some mountains for Pat. "Hmm, I hope this won't be too difficult of terrain..." "I'm sure I'll be fine. I know you can help me over any obstacles. I just had to come along to offer any help I could; we might need all the help we can get." "Well with you, and everypony else on the team, I guess we got just about everything covered." "And you too, don't forget." "Well... yeah, though we do kinda already have a fighter." "You can hardly have too many, Pat, and besides, he seems to be more of an offensive fighter, whereas I know you tend to fight more defensively. So you would sort of compliment each other." "Well, this is why you're the smart one around here." He smiled at her.
  12. @Jellal Fernandes, Pat was surprised and confused, this encounter had turned into something way different from what it was when he first set off for the lab. "But... why exactly are you telling me all this? I didn't really mean for an entire backstory when I asked who you were."
  13. @Jellal Fernandes, Pat was surprised as he fell onto a couch. "Oof! Maybe, if you gave warning next time..." He was offered a beer, but not only did he rarely drink alcohol, he didn't really feel like doing much of anything at the moment. "Uh, no thank you." He said, feeling a bit impatient
  14. ((Sorry I took so long, it just took me forever to think of a lot to say at this point)) Pat and River were both just sitting together on the bench across from Destiny. Pat wouldn't mind if somepony had come up and talked to him, but he rarely initiated conversation with new ponies. Not that he was shy, he just always draws a blank when thinking of things to say. River, on the other hoof, was satisfied with just staring out the window. She had always been really shy and cautious around other ponies, except for Pat. So he generally did the talking for her. Pat simply sat and observed other ponies' exchanges until he began daydreaming, while River started to doze off. He started to fantasize about the expedition they were embarking on and how it would go, envisioning what the journey would be like. He saw the entire team braving the challenge, and himself taking down the criminals. But then he worried about failure, and the thought of returning empty-hooved, or worse... Suddenly, he was shaken from his fantasy by the feeling of an unconscious head on his shoulder. He smiled... aaaaaand blushed slightly at the thought of what the other members might think by looking at them.
  15. I didn't really know what "Horse Wife" was when I first saw this... I have rectified that issue.
  16. @@Jellal Fernandes, He still didn't know about this guy, but he felt like he could kinda trust him, at least enough to try not to restrain him unless it was absolutely necessary. He breathes in and exhales deeply. "Alright, if you want to talk to me, then talk. I won't do anything rash."
  17. @Jellal Fernandes, ((Sorry for taking so long to post; stuff happened. Though for some reason, it looks like people have been posting like crazy when I stopped.)) "Wha-huh! How do you know about that?!? You know, if you're trying to gain my trust, you're not doing a good job of it!" Pat was becoming frustrated. Then, there was a huge explosion, and Mercury Labs collapsed into the ground. "What in the..."
  18. @@Jellal Fernandes, Pat stepped through the portal and onto the roof as well. He activated his comm. "Come in... There were two hostiles, but... we decided not to engage." "What? Why not, and what do you mean 'We'?" *sigh* "I'll explain later" He turned it off, and turned back to the stranger. "So what now? We just... leave? And, actually, who are you anyway?"
  19. @Jellal Fernandes, Pat still wasn't sure what he should do, but he decided to trust the stranger, at least for the moment, even though he didn't agree that they would be that helpless against this "False Shade", especially if both of them fought together. *sigh* "Fine... Let's... go..." 'I'm going to regret this, I'm going to regret this, AAAARGGGGGHH!!!'
  20. @Jellal Fernandes, Pat was having conflictions, he wasn't sure if the stranger was right. "But... what if that stuff that they stole is going to be used to harm people? So they're mercs who don't want alot of blood on their hands, for enough money, they could put it into someone else's!"
  21. @Jellal Fernandes, Pat was still very confused. He still wasn't at all sure of the intent of this stranger, who seemed to know who was. "I-um-well, yes I am, and you know that because...?" Then a police officer came in telling them to leave, because the building was going to collapse? 'Uh... this place doesn't look structurally compromised' He thought to himself
  22. @@Jellal Fernandes, Pat was already ready for the minigun by the time one of the woman's friends began to spin it up, but instead of feeling the force of bullets on his shield, as he anticipated, he was suddenly in the lobby where he had come in. Then before he could say anything, someone else appeared and grabbed him. "Whoa Whoa! What are doing, aren't you one of them? Besides, I have to stop them!"
  23. @FractalMoon, Pat was surprised that the conversation had gone on this long, they were both just stalling now. *sigh* "I don't know. I'd say investigating a suspicious explosion in a science facility, and potential theft of tech that could possibly be used to harm innocent people, including able-bodied nerds, is pretty important to me. So either come with me now, or just get it over with."
  24. @FractalMoon, "Well if you are all done then there's no reason you can't come now, I'll escort you out. Unless, you have something really important that you just have to take with you." It was pretty obvious that she was hiding something, but he waited for her to make a move. Though he was afraid to know what her and her friends could do.
  25. @FractalMoon, 'hmm, she evaded my question, but I'm not going to bring attention to that.' He thought. He knew that something was going on, especially since the clerk had been tranquilized, but if these were the culprits, at least they weren't going for the direct approach, which hopefully meant that they did not want to deal with him. "Well, let me help you finish up then."
