  1. Ooh! I love that first one. Oh yeah, I'm Patterson Rio Tacitus, or Pat.Rio.T. but you can call me just Pat. I, of course would love a picture from you, if you'd be so kind. Could you please draw this? If you don't want to draw both of them, then you can just draw a portrait of the one on the right. Thank you very much!
  2. @, Pat thought about it for a second, and he knew that he was right, but... "A plan... Yes, but uh... well, I'm afraid that if I came off as a strategist to you, then you are wrong. I am not gifted in that regard, so unless you've got a brilliant plan, we must act now! I am afraid we are already wasting time. That maniac is already there, and he seems capable of doing anything!" Pat was on edge even more now, thinking of what that person could already be doing.
  3. , , ((Sorry for taking so long to say something. I was partly waiting to let Blaze say something first, but I was also doing other things. Not that I'm saying it's an excuse for neglecting, so I'm sorry.)) The man teleported away before Pat or the other man had a chance to even do much of anything. "Darn it! He's going to be one of those guys isn't he. As much as I don't want to play along with his little game, I have to stop him from doing more harm. So if you're going to help me then we'd better get going... uh-um, John." He said hesitantly, making sure he remembered his name.
  4. @Dapper Charmer, , Pat created his normal shield construct to block any incoming attack from the one rushing at him, and prepared to make contact, when the man behind him yelled to get down. He looked back to see the explosive, and quickly stopped and knelt, forming a small dome shield to protect himself from the shockwave. 'What is he trying to do?!' He thought to himself.
  5. @Dapper Charmer, , Pat was still a bit speechless. But he was about to reply to the man's introduction, when they were again interrupted by the same person. Only this time he wasn't just yelling at them, he fired a cannon at them! "WHOA!" He exclaimed, as he hastily created a wall construct to shield them, which stopped the cannon ball dead in it's tracks, but simultaneously shattered. Well that settled it. Clearly the man next to him was not the one to be troubled with now. He shot a construct into the mouth of the cannon to plug it up as he closed the distance between him and this hooligan...
  6. , @Dapper Charmer, Pat was pondering the crazy story that he was told. It was so crazy and far out, in fact, that he almost believed it. But suddenly, someone yelled out something to them. He wasn't paying attention to what the person said, but he turned to look at him, and then asked, "Do you know him?"
  7. , "Uh-huh... then what is it?" He sure looked and sounded suspicious, but Pat was having trouble perceiving if he was telling the truth or not. "Cause to me it looks like you're wielding a weapon of mass destruction, in the midst of mass destruction, and... throwing hats? Oh, never mind." 'I'm actually looking forward to him trying to explain this' He thought.
  8. Pat finally came out of an alleyway, now with his suit on. He talked to River through his comm. "River, has he..." He was interrupted when his head was nearly sliced by a flying hat! He ducked just in time to avoid it, then looked in the direction from which it came from. "Pat?! Are you okay?" River asked urgently. "Don't worry, I'm fine." He replied, then called out to the person who threw the hat, "I'd put down that rocket launcher, whoever you are!" ,((I do believe he still has the rocket launcher that Hooligan gave him, right?))
  9. @Dapper Charmer, River, who had remained in the car, saw the whole thing. And after the huge explosion, which caught Pat's attention, she called out to him, and related to him, what she had seen. Well now Pat knew what he'd have to do, so he simply told River, "Stay safe!" and he disappeared, whilst the perpetrator was being distracted by some guy. 'Who in the world, would return to their crime scene?' He thought to himself.
  10. ((OOC: Sorry I'm late... and for this boring post. Here's hoping I can really get involved soon.)) Patterson and River Tacitus had, no sooner, arrived in the city after their long journey, when the sound of an exploding store disrupted their drive. They of course, had to investigate, so Pat headed for where the sound came from, as best he could. When he finally found the place, the store was ablaze, and the sound of incoming firetrucks was heard. Of course the person, who undoubtedly caused the explosion, didn't seem to be around still. Pat got out of the car and began asking people around if they knew anything about what happened.
  11. This episode, for me, caused a strange reaction. Because of the setting and nature of this episode, throughout most of it I was thinking, "This is going to be boring." but in the end, it wasn't. Through the song; "Oh, not another one of these songs." Yet, I enjoyed it. That blue guy that showed up, and now people are shipping; "Oh no, I'm going to hate this character!" But I didn't! Sure this isn't my favorite episode, but was surprisingly good, and that makes me happy.
  12. I have tried this with a couple cheap DAWs, and while I probably should do this with the ones I am considering, I must admit, that I have little knowledge when it comes to actually using a DAW. The main reason I was hesitant to try to demo the more expensive ones, is because I was afraid I wouldn't know enough to be able to use them properly, and thus, get an inaccurate idea of what it can do for me
  13. I am not going to ask what is the best DAW. I already know the answer, and that is not the right question to ask when considering which one to buy. No, my question is this: What DAW is best suited for me? I have already ruled out some. For instance, Ableton Live, as it is more suited to live performance. But there are others which are closer to what I am looking for, however it's hard to decide between them without seeing a demonstration of what they can do the way I would use them. Of course I have to tell you what I am looking for so that you can answer my question properly. So here are some of the main features I am looking for. Like most people who are just starting out, I suppose the main thing I want is independence. In other words, I want to be able to do most everything, if not all the work on my computer, without the need for hardware, or instruments. Because as much as I would love to be able to play and record every instrument myself(And believe me, I would), I am not made of money or time, and I don't have a lot of friends who have the capacity to help me in that regard either. That being said, some time in the future(Hopefully sooner than later) I would like to add the use of, say, a keyboard interface, so I can incorporate my knowledge of piano into the recording of various instruments. Probably the next biggest thing is, that I'd prefer to use more instrument samples, and less electronic. Though I also wouldn't mind mixing a bit of the two. In other words, I'd like to do more this... Not so much this... (By the way, that first video is a pretty good example of stuff I'd like to do) So what do you think? I've gotten some ideas, but I'd like to hear what people with experience have to say. Maybe I can narrow the choices down and finally decide, so I that can get making some music!

  15. @ThornFlare, Pat was a little bit disappointed. He had hoped he'd get a better response out of Serenity. 'Hmm, he doesn't seem very talkative either' He thought, then responded, "Yeah um, we're doing alright... Right River?" He quickly asked River, who simply nodded her head. She hardly wanted to add to the awkwardness of the situation. Pat sighed. He then contemplated what to say next. Hopefully, he could get an actual conversation going. "So, is tinkering with stuff like your special talent?" It sure wasn't the best question, and Pat was practically kicking himself because it seemed like a stupid question at this point, but it was all he could come up with quickly. Unfortunately it seemed that his intent on trying to keep the situation from becoming awkward was backfiring. He looked slightly towards River, who walked by his side opposite of Serenity, and gave her a look that Serenity couldn't see, which communicated his thoughts to her. She understood and giggled to herself, then gave Pat a sympathetic look, who just turned his gaze straight down the path they were walking, and pretended to feel comfortable.
  16. Hello Stardust! My name is Patterson Rio Tacitus, or Pat.Rio.T. But you can call me Pat. Could you draw one of mine? If you could draw this guy, it would be most appreciated! I don't mind a long wait. Thank you for your time! EDIT: Eh heh heh, I forgot the pictures... Oops! Here you go. EDIT...Again: Wait, did the thread title get edited while I was typing, or am I just blind? Either way, if you are too busy, then just ignore me.
  17. ((Is something wrong with the "Mention" function, or is it just me?)) Blaze went over to Spellbind and Rose, and then asked Pat if he wanted to share leadership. "Well, I guess I already was. That is, I guess I'll take charge of my group, as long as nopony else is jumping at the bit to." He said, well knowing that that was not the case. Then Serenity approached him and River, to join his group. "Um..hello. I guess with the others making a group, that means I'm with you two." He said. 'Well that's reassuring' Pat thought, even though, he knew he probably didn't mean to sound like that. They made sure they were ready to set off again, whilst Serenity did as well, and then stated that he was ready to go. River checked Pat's packs, as he was carrying the most stuff, to make sure nothing was going to fall off. Then Pat turned to Blaze's group for the last time. "We'll meet up again in a while." He said, then they turned and started down one path. Before they got far, Pat felt he ought to say something to get a conversation started sooner than later, before it got awkward. "Hello, I'm Pat! I think we met at the train station." He said sarcasticly, attempting to be somewhat humorous, referring to the fact that they had not shared a word since then. Not that it was anypony's fault in particular.
  18. 'Splitting up? I hope not for too long' Pat was wondering in his head. "Um, okay... well, how many are we?" Pat began to count everyone left in the group, minus Destiny and Dax, realizing that he hadn't paid attention to the number at the start. He counted himself, River, Blaze, Spellbind, Rose, and Serenity. Sooo three each way? Destiny and Dax were getting ready to start back to get the ogre. Now that Destiny would be gone, somepony should probably take charge temporarily. But Pat already knew that none of the others would really be inclined to, excepting maybe, Blaze. "Well, we can split into three each way. So, who wants to come with River and I?" He asked openly. He figured it would be best for Blaze to go with the other group, but he wasn't about to tell anypony what they should do. River looked down both paths, neither one of them looked any more inviting than the path they were already on. At the moment, the only other thing they could do in the meantime was just to wait, but was splitting up like this the best idea?
  19. Well I haven't laid out many specific fears for Pat, he's afraid of alot of things. However, he usually has the courage to stand through it. As for what he can't stand? Well, public speaking, being in extremely tight places(like a vent, or most any place he can hardly move in), and most of all, losing River. As for River, she's not as stable Pat is, but thankfully Pat is there to help her with, or if necessary, protect her from, the things she fears. Some of which, most notably include, other people(some more than others), doing anything in front of people, being left by herself in most places, her own powers(which she has a right to) and most of all(you guessed it) losing Pat.
  20. OH! Could you draw one of mine? By the way, my name is Patterson Rio Tacitus, or Pat.Rio.T. But you can call me Pat. If you could draw this guy, it would be most appreciated! EDIT: I'm sorry, I did not read, forgive me... (I was a little too excited)
  21. I've just recently gotten into this because of my brother and my friend, who also got into it relatively recently. And so far I have only just started playing my first game(Diamond), so I am not familiar with all the pokemon yet. But so far, I think my favorite might be Gyarados. Why? Because it just looks awesome; it is my second favorite color(blue), and my favorite when shiny(red); it is part water type, which is one of my favorite types; it is relatively powerful compared to other pokemon and yet it evolves from a useless magikarp, which I just love about it for some reason; and finally it is a very tough pokemon, which I prefer over offensive power, and that's also why some of my other favorites include Steelix, Wobbuffet, and Empoleon.
  22. @Nova12, Pat was also very surprised at the turn of events. It seemed certain that the ogre was hostile at first; at least they weren't in any danger. He hadn't had any dealings with ogres before, so he didn't know what to expect. But once the ogre finished explaining, it seemed pretty obvious that he meant them no harm. Pat turned to Rose, "Let him up, please." He asked of her. River, was relieved that they seemed to be in no danger, and she moved away from the group and up closer; however she did stay next to Pat just in case. Her eyes were still wet from tearing up. "Hey, you okay?" Pat asked River as he dried one of her eyes. "Yeah... yeah I'm okay." She replied as she dried the other one herself. Pat turned his attention back to the ogre. He wasn't sure how old he was. He was out on his own in the forest, making and running a business of his own, but he also seemed to act a bit childish. Maybe it was just the way ogres were; Pat had never met one. Both he and River enjoyed learning about new species. "We're sorry, we attacked you. Perhaps we should introduce ourselves, I'm Patterson Tacitus, and this is my sister River Serene." @Randimaxis,
  23. Pat's hope that whatever was tearing through trees and coming towards them, might be friendly, was crushed when it started singing it's song. He pulled out his staff and held it at the ready, in his mouth. River was becoming terrified to the point of tears, but she tried to hold it in, so as not to distract Pat. She knew that her crying would get to him, and she wanted him to concentrate on staying alive. Then, an ogre stepped out from between the trees, and looked directly at them. Pat now began to wonder if this was a time to activate his suit, but he did not want to do that unless it was absolutely necessary. He decided to hope that the combined effort of the ponies would be enough to fend off the beast. He stood still in the line and waited for the ogre to make a move, meanwhile wondering if one of the other ponies in the group would make a move first. In fact, the more he thought about it, the more he thought of how disastrous it could be. He knew he wasn't the leader; he knew he hardly was a leader, but he figured he ought to say something. At least it was something his hero would do. "Everypony, please, fight as a group; not by yourself." He said in a soft voice. He hoped he wouldn't become hypocritical.
  24. Pat followed the van and the dragon, but hung back and did not yet interfere. He waited to see what exactly was going on, and to make sure it didn't get out of hand. He still didn't know who those guys in the van were, or who the dragon was; and what any of their intentions were.
