@,@@SleeplessSketch, "Okay... This time, we'll make it!" Break took off with a fervent pace. The wind blew through Break's mane as he soared across the sky and towards Canterlot. He watched the clouds pass by as he zeroed in on his destination. He was so anxious to get there he didn't think to look back and wait for his friends, that is IF they were falling behind. The only thing on his mind at that moment was just getting there and being on time, being happy. Being able to finally breath for a moment. Then he started to slow down and start to think of the things that could happen, the things that could go wrong. The things that the princesses will say to him... what they want him for.

@@00Pony,@@Miss Reaper Just as Break was about to finish one of the chapters in the book he was reading, this sudden chill ran up his spine. He's felt this before. It usually indicated something about the truth being near, or something to do with the truth being nearby. His horn started to glow a faint blue color as if it were being used. "But what does it mean?" Break asked himself, as the book fell to the ground due to a lack of magic being allocated to it. "...?"His unicorn magic was tied to his special talent: Truth Seeking. A pressure was starting to build in his head as he heard a very faint voice in the quiet of his apartment. The voice was so quiet he could barely hear it, so Break thought it would be a good idea to walk towards the opposite wall of his apartment to see if that would get better "reception" .This has happened before, usually during this time of day on the occasion. Although hearing something was completely new to the pony. It started happening ever since he met Saron: a pony that has always been a mystery to him, and this state of relations has always bugged him to this day. Is it Saron? It could be... But the feeling might just go away after a little bit, so it's probably nothing...Again. A sudden nausea fell over Break as he heard a voice go through his mind, it was unknown to him who's it was, "-curse has ruined my life!" The voice deteriorated for a moment, but then it came back with a force that could crumble a building, "Smash it!! Smash it to smithereens!!" The nausea was overwhelming for Break as he ran away from the wall, and vomited into the nearby trash disposal.His magic slowly faded from his horn as he slumped to the side, and onto the floor. The room seemed to spin as he attempted to get back up. "What...was... That?!" Break quickly shook his head to get his bearings once more. The sick feeling slowly faded as he pulled out something to drink from the storage in his kitchen. Was that Saron? I've never actually heard a VOICE before... I can't even tell if it was a mare or a stallion. He glared at the wall for a moment to think about what he just "heard". ... Break walked over to the bathroom and turned on the water to wash his face. "Could that have been Ariel? ...I'd better write this down." As he finished washing his face, he pulled out the notepad and wrote down what he had heard then quickly shoved it back in his pocket as he started for the door. Just before he could open the door, he started to have the same feeling again. "...buck me." he uttered as he trotted over to the wall again. The voice was excessively faint this time, and it was really hard to hear unlike earlier. Break had his whole head pressed up against the wall. An extremely far off, but distinct voice was heard, "...The future is something I can never gaze upon..." Break waited a moment as the voice faded. It slowly came back once more for one final utterance, "...the old fashioned way. The hard way. I believe that is what makes her so..." Break's eyes were wide and surprise was written all over his face. "W-What!? Makes her what!?" He started to feel pale as he shoved his hoof in his mouth to quiet himself. Then after removing the hoof, he shook his head around, and said, "No....Break, you mustn't think that way. He isn't like that. There must be something else. ...A-ariel! Yes! Ariel is the enigma at hand here, and well..." Break was at a loss for words as he slowly paced around the room. "That was definitely Saron, but... What does it mean? Is he also curious about her as well?" Break looked up at the ceiling with a very aggravated expression and let out a loud groan. He then looked forward once more and recited what he heard, "....'The future is something I can never gaze upon.' Which means...?" Break's analytically brain started to think about all the things he had heard so far, and attempted to piece them together with hypothetical thesis's and inferences. He quickly wrote down the voice he heard, just under the louder one from earlier. A curse ruining their life... then smashing something. They were mad about the curse ruining their life. Yes, well that would make sense....That was probably Ariel. Ok. Let's assume that was Ariel. Now, what would she be mad about? She doesn't seem the type to be mad about----!! Break's eyes widened as he looked back at his notes on Ariel. Shy, timid, quiet... Hiding some kind of strangely colored eye. Yes! The eye! It's the eye! ...But why the eye? I mean, I understand hiding it just out of embarrassment, but being mad about it is a whole other issue....And what about,I'm assuming, Saron's voice? ...Let's worry about that later. I should probably head out before they leave me behind. The pony stuffed the notebook back in his pocket, and head out the door once more. This time, he didn't feel anything which made him sigh with relief.

@@Miss Reaper,@@00Pony, Break continued to flip through the pages of the newspaper as he waited for Ariel and Saron to come back down from the Crystal Pony's room. He was trying to stay calm as he kept thinking about what Ariel was hiding from them, and how he could find out without upsetting her, although this would probably be impossible he still had to make some kind of effort. If he made her upset, he knows something might happen and he may never find the truth. ...The last time I found the truth, it caused me to leave Canterlot of my own accord. ...Let's try not to think about that right now. Break's thoughts started to race again, and he wasn't even reading the paper anymore. The pony found it ideal that he return to his room to get something important out of it: a notebook and quill. "I don't want to forget anything important about things that may go on during our little walk around town today..." Break started for the stairs, and went straight for his apartment. In a snap, he was able to open the door and grab his things with ease due to his magic. He set his glass on the counter, and went to open up a book called 'Character Traits: Tell Tail Signs of Trouble" just as he did all of those previous actions...

@,@@SleeplessSketch, The pony shuddered at the thought of being late, though it was only a little late into the morning. I hope this all works out... Break gave an uncertain smile to Tranq and said, "No way. We'll be fine. It's just a hop, skip and a jump." Yeah, a hop, skip and a couple dozen jumps. Break flapped his wings once more and was off the ground in no time at all. "Let's get going, shall we? What better time to get used to the wings then to be en route?"

@,@@SleeplessSketch, Break watched as Tranq swerved, and then eventually fell into a bush while trying to fly using her new wings. He slowly flew over to her, and said, "You might be trying to hard. Just feel the flow, and stay calm." Break tried to calm down Tranq as he extended a hoof to help her up. Although, those missized wings are not helping at all.

@,@@SleeplessSketch, Shaking his head, Break started for his friends outside the library. His wings seemed to be rather dull, and didn't stand out all that much in the sunlight. They weren't AWFUL, to Break at least, they were just... dull, and were translucent. "Just wait a moment, please!" He quickly ran to Tranq and Sketch with a fervent attitude. He followed his friends to a field by Ponyville, a place not too familiar. He looked over by the mountains behind the forest just across the way. He could see hints of glistening gold and white colored buildings hanging off the cliff of one of these mountains. "It's just... a few flaps away. No problem." Break said to himself, trying to comfort his waxing anxiety. Ok... Let's try to at least GET off the GROUND first. He started to flap his wings and started to feel lift. It felt strange, but there was a certain rhythm to it. Eventually, Break started to get it, and he found himself hovering a few feet off the ground with easy. Baby steps, there you go. Break looked over at Tranq and Sketch to see how they were doing.

@,@@SleeplessSketch, Heat eminated from Break's forehead as he felt a wave of dizziness wash over him from using so much magic. It slowly subsided as he answered Tranq, "Of course I am." His voice slightly shakey from a slowly encroaching nervousness about the ordeal he was to experience in the immediate future. Flying.

@,@@SleeplessSketch, Break took a quick look around Sketch to see what his wings looked like. "Well... They are certainly transient like ours... Hmmm... I think they're fine. It shouldn't draw that much attention either, considering well... An Alicorn is like royalty, right?" Break wasn't quite sure how that all worked. Is being an Alicorn what makes you royalty? ...Prince Blueblood is related to the celestial sisters, but he's not an alicorn. ...Actually, I haven't heard of any male alicorns. ...I wonder how Blueblood is doing...ugh, no, let's not think about that. Remember what happened last time? No. Never again. ...Creep.

@@SleeplessSketch,@, "Hold on Sketch..." Break tried to concentrate, but found that he was a little bit tired from the spell he had just cast on himself. "..." I wish I had better magical potential... ... The magic department for Break, was starting to run low, and he couldn't bring himself to do the spell all by himself. "Tranq, would you like to do the spell with me? I'm sure you're a little worn from the spell too..." Break looked over at Tranq with expectant eyes.

@@SleeplessSketch, @, "Ok... I'm going to give it a try on myself." Break flipped back to the page that had the spell incantation on it. "..." He closed his eyes, and his horn started to glow with his full concentration. "...Azarath metrion ZINTHOS!*" A bright flash of light encased the room for just a moment, and quickly subsided to reveal the fruits of Break's magic. A pair of wings! ....Although they were a little translucent, and seemed to be quite light. His face beamed with delight as he looked over at his newly conjured wings... *Please tell me you know where this is from.

@@Miss Reaper,@@00Pony, Break watched as Saron and Ariel started for the stairs to the upper floor of the inn. You know, Ariel, you could at least say SOMETHING. Anything. You're actually starting to scare me. Are you really that frightened? Or is what I feel so much more deeper than I originally thought? ....The plot continues to get foggier. Break took it upon himself to find his seat in the lobby again, and finish his breakfast while reading the daily news. A headline caught his attention: "Mysteries of the Crystal Empire: Where is King Sombra now?". Under it was the article coupled with a picture of his unique horn.

@@Miss Reaper,@@00Pony, "Well, where would you think we should start first?" Break retorted with a question back at Saron. "I suggest the Library, it's full of interesting reads..." He was trying to be as non-conspicuous as possible. Just need to find a book on that eye, and hopefully things will fall into place.

@, @@SleeplessSketch, So, in a twist of events, he ended up following Sketch into the Library of the town. Even though Twilight was usually found there on a daily basis, today was just not that day. She was nowhere to be found, and neither was her friend Spike. As Tranq and Sketch started to look for some book on getting to canterlot really quickly, Break took it upon himself to join the search. No... No... Book on Alicorns? ...No... The Big Book on Alicorns? No... How to Become an Alicorn By Cheating? Nope. ...These are all in the A section, huh. Break slowly looked through the books on the shelf in front of him. How to Conjure Stuff with your Magic! Here we go! Break pulled the book in question out of the shelf using his magic, and quickly flipped through the pages to find something to do with Wings or Flight. Teleporting was obviously out of the question, so getting wings was the next best thing. Let's see... Be an Alicorn you wondrous Unicorn! Yes that's right, you can be an alicorn for one day! All you have to do is.... Break read through the instructions fervently. ...Be aware that this spell will only grant wings, and not a unicorn horn. Please be aware you only have 24 hours to have wings, and they WILL disappear after the time allotted. Note: This Spell is not responsible for injuries, loss of memory, or death that may occur. "Oh boy..." Break uttered aloud.

@@SleeplessSketch, @ Sketch shoved Break and Tranquil back with a force as he didn't want them to come in his house. Though Break was a little startled at the turnaround, he wasn't interested in knowing what was wrong with Sketch's house. The changeling probably went crazy or something. Break thought to himself. When Break was turned around, he noticed that it was only Tranq and Himself left in the group of friends. Where had Christoph went?! "...!? Christoph?! What the hay?" Break looked around, but didn't see him anyway. "...Buck."

@@00Pony, @@Miss Reaper "Oh that's good." Break looked back at Ariel. "Do you two need help at all?" Break was attempting to get on her good side, as to get around the whole 'shy' thing she seemed to have. Just be nice Break, you'll find out everything you want to know eventually. Sometimes it just takes a little bit of time... ((I can't believe I didn't post. I'm such a ding dong. XD))

@, @@SleeplessSketch The feeling of fresh air overwhelmed Break as they exited the bakery. There was this lifted weight from his proverbial shoulders, and he felt really light. Like he could just... fly away at any moment. That feeling quickly dissipated as his mind reminded him of Princess Celestia. He watched as a light blue Stallion Pegasus with a dark blue colored mane fly by across the sky with a flash of speed. Sketch's home was only blocks away now. "Sketch? Do you think.... Eh... What do you think the princesses want with me?" Break was in search of something to comfort his feelings of uncertainty: his insecurities over the coming situation.

@, @@SleeplessSketch, @@ChristophR, @, Break stopped giving Tranq the "look", and pondered for a moment at the face she was giving back, Does...does she have to break wind or something? She's giving me weird looks... !! Am I causing some kind of internal disruption!? Break averted his eyes. I think my talents are a little too powerful sometimes... Break went to Sketch with a brisk trot, as to not waste any time. "So he's at your house? ...Did something happen?"

@@CharChar, @@ChristophR, @@SleeplessSketch, Aaaaand... he's back to Sketch. Huh... Break slowly shifted his eyes over to Tranq. She seems happy. A bit suspiciously so, actually. Break started to give Tranq his signature "look". The look he gives whenever his analytical brain starts to go off. Some things never change, even when he's friends with someone...

@,@@CharChar, @@ChristophR, Break watched as Skotch fall asleep, "Aaand there he goes. He's gone now." He seemed a bit saddened by this turn of events. "Just when we were going to have some quality time together." He doesn't show up as much as Sketch, so I guess I was happy to see Skotch instead. It's... a new change of pace. Too bad it's already over.

@@ChristophR, @@SleeplessSketch, @@CharChar, "A shrink spell! Ah! I could definitely do something as simple as that." Break smiled, and then paused for a moment, "J-just tell me when we're ready. I don't want to get squashed." He took another bite of his muffin. So Canterlot University did teach me something. Heh... Break thought to himself and chuckled at the irony.

OC you'll come too)) "I would just teleport my way into Canterlot, but... Well... Everytime I try to do it, I just sort of... It doesn't work out." Break admitted to them. "I'm just not capable of something complicated like Teleporting." Break stared at the muffin he was given, took a bite, and thought for a moment. If only they could ALL come with me... He was interrupted when he saw Christoph walk in and greet the group. "Oh... Yeah. I'm just going to eat some breakfast. You want some?" Break invited Christoph, he was happy to see him, but was a little apprehensive on leaving just yet.

Break, you're doing it again. Freaking ponies out with your staring. Break averted his eyes from Skotch. "Sorry." Memories of that evening started to come back in clips. "I...I have no idea why they would want me of all ponies. It's very strange, and I hope its for something good." Break tried to be modest about all of this, he wasn't a snob like most of the unicorns at Canterlot. "Wouldn't it have made more sense for it to be for say, Applejack or one of her friends? Guh..." He looked down at the table in front of him. "This is making me anxious. Not to mention I need to be over there by noon for some strange reason." @, @@SleeplessSketch

@@SleeplessSketch, @, Break looked at Tranq and took a deep breath, "Weeell... As it turns out, I got royal mail from the Princesses of Equestria, and apparently they want me to be in Canterlot Castle today for something rather important. ...I don't know what it is, as it's apparently so secret they couldn't risk someone reading my mail." Break explained. "So that is why I'm looking for Chrisoph to take me to Canterlot..." He then looked off to the side, "It'd be nice if you ponies could come with me but... I don't think that's possible." I wonder if Skotch would even want to go. Break looked at Skotch for a moment. ...? Maybe he does? He seems to be hiding something again. @@ChristophR
