Aixi choked back her tears she had to stop, this would surely make it worse. It would make everything worse. She had no feelings and it must stay that way for the greater good, she could only hurt him.She knew it would be wrong to allow him to get that close. This being said a certain calm took hold of her. It felt nice to be held again, or perhaps she had just one glass too many. Getting back on her hooves Aixi stood firm. I want to talk to you about this again. But *hic* I would like to accurately calculate a few things. They must be in order if we have any hope in success. Meet me here in two days, be her by noon if you would like to help me... Oh, and please don't call me 'princess' I only used it to clear confusion, I no longer have the right to be called that. " She didn't like waiting for responses so she continued on. "It seems I have a busy day ahead of me and day break is in only a few hours, I need my rest." Aixi walked towards her room stopping to look back at the pair. "You are both welcome to stay for a little bit, If you would like that is. It has been a while since I have had the company of anypony, let alone a stallion." She giggled to herself

She was gratful for his kindness and it made her blush. It had been a long time since she allowed any pony to care. She made it a point to stay in the shadows. Aixi knew there would be no turning back. They had wandered into her life for a reason and it brought a tear to her knowing eyes. @blue blur "I may need help. There may come a time when I am not able to do this on my own and if I call you to help me with something you must give me your word to do so." Critic seemed to grow bored of the whole thing and felt it rather pointless in lingering any longer.Aixi could not allow this she had to say something anything. As hard as she tried to worn him the stuborn Stallion continued to leave @Critic AIxi began to panic as quick tears fell freely from her face. She darted at Critic and plunged to her knees. "wait, I beg of you please wait. Do not do this alone. Please." She cried on Critic put his hoof on her shoulder as if to comfort her. He did quite know how to react to this situation. "There is a way to defeat him, you are correct in saying so but you need me. This is all I can *hiccough* tell you. I will need help but if you are serious about this you can not do it by yourself." The mare continued Sobbing at his hooves almost uncontrollably at this rate.

Swaying Aixi thought to herself "I will tell them, it may be wise to be able to ally with somepony again, the time has come closer and when it does."She blinked hard trying to erase her last thoughts @Blue Blur Aixi swayed for a moment, back and forth, back and forth. "Nope! I am real. We were all real... I do appreciate your word and I value it. It has honor until proven other wise. I have to be wary though and I believe you understand why, both of us are living to protect, you have to guard yourself." She lowered her head in thanks and acknowledgment. @both of you Aixi's eye glazed over as she spoke "I will tell you both a little more..." She trailed off choking her tears back, she would not cry. "He was so kind and gentle, I would have never suspected him to change, he was a good pony. But he lusted for power and in his quest for that he broke our most important law. By feeding of of a living soul he tainted his own. In that moment he perished turning into a demon that changes hosts when the old host is no longer capable of housing him. That is the short version for you." AIxi sighed as a tiny tear fell to the floor. @Critic Aixi looked back at critic. Her eyes hardened "however, what do you plan to do? Kill a demon who can't be slayed? You are not capable of handling such a feet especially on your own. Do you think I could just tell you who he is and what he looks like, it simply is not that easy and I can tell you know this already." Looking towards Critic Aixi stumbled forward "So, what now? she asked Not paying attention she clumsily fell into Blue "Oh, whoops. *hicough* I am so sorry" Aixi apologized. Aixi began to further her apology this time directed at the both the ponies"I am sorry you two, I shouldn't have bothered you with my story. It is not very nice is it? I am sorry, I have been rather careless and loose lipped it seems."

Sitting down in her seat under the window with slightly more grace than she would have normally Aixi sat and stared at the pair for a moment. She noticed the unfamiliar stallion carefully watching her from the kitchen. She couldn't put a hoof on it but she felt as if a part of her distant self remembered. @ Blue Blur She shook her head to clear it. Aixi held Blue's stare for a moment before answering, with a grim voice she answered "I can forgive, do not fret and give your self more night terrors. I understand being alone, I have been alone for so long. It has to be that way though, you see my friends and family were slaughtered by your kind. It was not their fault they understood not. They feared for their own lives the lives of the ponies they protected, and without understanding the circumstances jumped to conclusions. With no other pony left of our kind I am left to carry forth our duty. I can not have any more blood shed on my account. Like I said it is not you, it is me and me alone. I am sorry to say this but I do believe you have wasted your time, I have no friends, no family nothing." Aixi paused allowing this information to soak in. Glancing about the room she felt their confused stares ripping at her. "My name is Princess Aixi, I am the last of my kind, We were called soul reapers by the likes of your ancestors. This information alone could have me detained and beheaded so I beg of you both to keep this information a secret. We were supposed to have been exterminated centuries ago for feeding off of living souls. Truthfully the only stallion who had done this still roams, he took most of the souls from my heard, the rest were slaughtered by the fearful guards. It is my duty to finish him so that the living can rest with knowing they are safe." "Now if you can't keep your nosy mouth shut, I can make sure you don't speak of this ever again.." She giggled a bit to herself. "I mean you no harm and would never harm a living being unless provoked, but now do you understand?" She asked. @ Mr. Critical Aixi directed her attention towards the kitchen. "That warning is directed to you as well. Who are you? I feel we have met some time ago..." This particularly bothered Aixi as she had far out lived other ponies. She started to sway slightly, anxiety mixed with cider had put her slightly on edge.

"Not being able to fall asleep was tiresome." Aixi thought. "I really don't need sleep, any way." With that thought she scooted down to the main lobby, where a tavern was conveniently located for the guests. "Just one glass of cider.. that will perk me up." Aixi ordered glass after glass. She forgot how good a beverage could taste, it had been a while since she had anything other then the left over residue of souls and the sweet frothy cider felt like a delicacy. Finially satisfied she hiccuped and glanced around the room. "Now where did that bar wench disappear too? Another glass would be nice but I should just pay." She said in a light giggle. Getting up out of her seat Aixi stumbled about looking for her server. After a bit of time and no luck she laid the payment behind the counter with a sizable tip and walked around the lobby to the front counter. "Miss, I left the payment for the drinks behind the counter, would you tell your server?" The older mare behind the counter nodded gruffly and with that taken care of Aixi trotted cheerfully up to her room. As she approached her humble abode she noticed a couple of ponies outside her door. She strolled up behind them "Excuse me. Oh it's you again? I thought I had scared you off." she stammered tripping slightly sideways. "Whoopsies!" Aixi sang out whimsically pushing her way past the two stallions to open the door. "So what pray tell has brought you back? And with a friend? You are both welcome to come in for a moment if you wish." She said this with a smile as she entered her room.

@Guardian The door halfway shut as Aixi thought. "Oh darn I was starting to have fun, I must have gotten to him. I just remember captains being, well a little more, what is the word... assertive." She smiled to herself and with that she walked over to the bedside table and blew out the candle. Moments later there was some other pony at the door. "So you have been listening, well do not be shy come in. It seems as if I will not get any sleep tonight, which in all honesty is alright. I am more of a night pony then anything." She noticed that the pony had poked his head in the door. The pony was obviously male, but there was something about him that made her feel uneasy. He opened the door to come in the two's eye contact never breaking. Aixi ignoring her feelings smiled at the mysterious pony. "Please come in, and close the door if you please. My room is small but you may have a seat on the bed if you wish." So with the world dieing of tacos or whatever I now have the cup song stuck in my head and you all are going to miss me by my "talk ohh" The mission has been successful. The rabbit fell into the whole and I backdoored that mofo for days. I got the ice and we are too meet with Pappa Cream give him the goodies and spilt before the banna reaches the milkshake. If you can confirm this Mr. Potatoe head we are ready for phase 2 and are standing by for the peel. If Jolly Ranchers shows up with the taco's give him the monkey but make sure it can not fly if it flies the deal with Pappa cream doesn't go down and you can bet your first born son Vladimir that you will pay for all the ice o.0

A deafening silence filled the room and Aixi turn away for a moment carefully thinking her next words. "You let your comrades die. You watched them suffer while you live on. The torment will not ever end." She said in a grim manor. "I believe you wish you would have died instead of them, it nags at you day in and day out. You could not, did not save them, and nothing you can do will ever change that." Blue Blur went to talk again but Aixi cut him off. "As for loving me. You love the idea of love. You are most likely lonely, you do not love me. How can you after this short of time." She scoffed in disbelief. "This is our longest conversation for heaven sake." Noticing the stallion was growing uncomfortable she lightened her tone. "Don't take me wrong, I am flattered and I am sure you are fun," Aixi grinned as she slowly followed the stallion's body over and met his gaze "but you don't need me. I am no good for a person of your stature. It would never work out. I can't see myself with any pony again and that is fine but I wish that you would respect this." Her words were almost understanding but her eyes locked onto his in a serious glare. She sat patiently and awaited his response, being up this late didn't bother her if she had something to do, and this seemed to suffice as half decent entertainment.

Aixi giggled and an adorable squeak fit erupted followed by a snort. She cover her mouth with her hoof as Blue Blur Glanced back. "I am terribly sorry that isn't funny. It's just not often I meet somepony who is almost, a bigger loser than I. It's amusing. I didn't mean to insult you. Now you made me light a perfectly good candle and they just don't burn quite the same after you have lit it once. Why don't you have a seat? Something is clearly on your mind no pony dreams like that unless they have done wrong by their own hooves." She said as she smiled a sad knowing smile and glanced behind her at the moon. "If you would like to you can sit and talk with me for a while, if not I ask that next time you at least wait until dawn." She stated in a sassy tone still staring off at the moon. A long pause erupted allowing her to catch her thoughts. It worried her talking to any pony longer than just a minute but she didn't mind this time. She instead found the whole situation fascinating. It had been a long while since any pony had sought out her presence. She was used to running and this was a nice break. The door slowly closed breaking the silence. Aixi turned around to see if she had scared her visitor off yet.

@BlueBlur Silently Aixi floated to the door. She should have opened the window, instead she raised her hoof. She should have opened up the window, she knew she should have fled. Tonight however she felt an emotion she had not felt for quite some period of time. She felt alone. She could feel the cold grasp of darkness that she had built up over time. The walls she used to protect herself had slowly begun to suffocate her. Just for a night she needed to converse more than a five sentence conversation. "Just for a moment I don't wish to be alone" she told herself. "It truly has been a long time." She lifted her hoof to open the door, allowing an inch of light to shine into her room. "Hello, Blue Blur it was? You will have to forgive me, I am terrible with names. I am not used to having to remember them so you will have to excuse me. I probably won't remember it.." She said softly through the crack allowing her eyes to adjust before she opened the door. Without waiting for a response she swung open the door and swiftly turned around. "you may come in." Blue Blur followed making sure to shut the door behind him ."I heard you" Blue Blur's sentence was cut short by a harsh "shhh" that came from the fiery little mare. "will you please just wait one moment. I would like to have a seat first. " Aixi huffed as she lit a candle and placed it carefully on the bedside table. Making her way to her spot under the window Aixi sat and motioned to her bed. "I am sorry there is not a lot of room here that will have to do." "Now go on tell me Blue Blur what has brought you here so late in the evening. It must be quite important most ponies are asleep by now."Aixi asked allowing herself a brief moment to figure out what she was going to say.

"Who was there?" Aixi thought to herself. "It doesn't matter now." She muttered as she rounded the corner. She gazed into the night sky, the stars twinkled so brightly you could almost hear them. The tiny little diamonds sparkled with such a brilliant vigor. She wished to stay out a little longer, just a moment. "It's not often that the sky is this lively." and with that last thought out of the way Aixi found herself in front of the inn. Aixi walked in and waited at the counter. After a brief moment an older mare walked swiftly towards her. They began discussing her stay and negotiating a price. After a short length of time they had finished, and Aixi headed to her room. Her room was a bit on the smaller side but it did have a bed, bathroom, and a cute little seat built in under the window. Without turning the light on she walked over to she seat and plopped down. It had been a rather short day, however she felt drained. It took a lot of her own energy to pass a spirit on, and although she knew it was her duty, often times, especially of late she has felt her self growing tired. She sat staring at the moon allowing the light to cloak her body. A slow tear transcended down her face landing on the ledge. Aixi's mind flooded with memories she usually kept hidden away. Only the clearest of nights when the stars shon bright did she remember. She never could forget the wonderful nights she had spent with her heard, or with him. As the memories pushed forth so did the tears. They splashed down delicately upon the ledge. The last tear she shed was filled with raging hatred. Aixi sat glaring at the moon.

Struggling to open her eyes Aixi finally awoke. Taking her time perched on her branch; she stretched out her wings, she found herself glancing upwards. "Oh, my." she exclaimed gravely. "It seems to have become a challenge to awake." She sat for a moment mulling her thoughts over. "Why can I not detect it? I can feel the tears of a nearby soul, however I can not seem to locate it's where abouts. I have only experienced this once before. it could only mean.." Her thoughts were interrupted by the overwhelming sense of spirit residue. "You have to halt your tears dear spirit, I am here to help you. It must me this way, please rest knowing I am here to take you to the quiet." Aixi softly breathed as if to plead with the invisible force. Almost instantly the tears had stopped, and although she could not tell if she was even close to the spirits resting place she knew it was somewhere behind her. swooping down hap-hazardly off of the branch, Aixi trotted towards the invisible force that was pulling at her. After minutes she noticed the force was closer then she had anticipated. Slinking through the shadows Aixi began to pick up speed slightly. The force suddenly vanished and Aixi came to a stop. After a moment she sat down in front of the spirit and closed her eyes. "Take thee away, it is not my judgment to bestow upon you." Aixi muttered in a low mallotic voice. For a single moment the spirit was visible and a dull glow could be seen about Aixi, yet as soon as it appeared it was gone leaving Aixi seated alone. Standing up she suddenly felt a piercing gaze from behind her, with out looking she went to advance on, as if nothing happened.

Surely you understand?" She said lightly and nodded him a goodbye. Aixi made her way to the south side, careful to stay quietly in the shadows. It was nice talking to another pony for a change she thought as a sickening feeling coursed throughout her body. She continued on without thinking a thing for what felt like hours. "I cant, I can't involve anypony else. That would be selfish of me.... I can't believe I checked out his... " Aixi shook her head violently and cleared her thoughts. Glancing to her left she saw a tree. "Perfect!" Aixi declared, and with that she flew up to a thicker branch and plopped down without the slightest hint of grace. Once nestled into the tree she giggled to herself "...Those are the moments when I realize I am no different, just unlucky." With that final thought she gazed off peacefuly, watching the sun set. Watching the sun set is something that always soothed Aixi's body and mind. One must Always remain within reach of sanity to remain in control. The moon rose as Aixi fell asleep curled up on her tree branch. Morning comes all too quickly.
