That cheap "fat joke" at the end pisses me off for a couple of reason. One: It's so 1960s/70s. Two: I've been in her situation before in real life (be extremely obese and have my weight be a butt of a joke), so to have it come as a joke here hit close to home.

So, comedian and YouTuber Nicole Arbour was fired from working with Don't Talk to Irene (a film about dealing with fat-shaming amongst teen girls) over a YT video bashing "fat people." Good; you can't bully or stereotype people for their weight.

There's a huge difference between your own interpretations of fiction and revising historical facts to create fiction. You can get away with changing Little Mermaid, Hunchback, and Hercules because they're pure fiction. But Pocahontas is based on real-life events; changing it means revising actual history.
