Rarity and I? 1) We love being a bit stylish (often the wild Cstriker is seen with product in his hair when in his natural environment [insert David Attenburough voice]). 2) I can be dramatic. Definately. 3) I LOVE the finer things. Art, Jazz, Classical, the opera and orchestra, enjoy musicals (current fav? Music man or Man of Le Mancha), Bourbon and wine, fine food (current fav? Crab cakes or braised lamb shank with chutney). Love a good cigar too! 4) Generousness? I do give of my time often to those when need it, I sacrifice for my family and loved ones daily, I even arranged to fly myself and some of my closest friends to fly to Las Vegas in 2 weeks! I do relate to her a bit, but from a male side as dresses don't do it for me when I wear them...not my thing I guess. My vocabulary is large. Being articulate is seemingly a diminishing art amongst the world of social media and slang. I piss off my boss with that vocabulary and am told to tone down my reports often enough! But alas, sometimes it sucks having a large vocabulary that I can't use around my half retarded coworkers. I tend to be fanciful in my thinking and dreaming, and I am currently putting my passions into my first novel I am writting, and finishing my second degree. I do love music so much, I am a saxophone player and a great lover of Jazz as aforementioned above, and my passions certainly do show through that! In all things, we strive to be as fabulous as our Lady Rarity!

I bought a theme deck too when the game launched Ghostie!!! Rarity and white are a powerful set. I am working on getting more pinkie pie cards so I can drop Rainbow dash out of my deck and put in Pinkie. Pink and White combo are POWERFUL control over problems and the opponents deck and friends. My Twilight Fluttershy deck is awesome, but I may cycle twilight out for Rainbow dash and the two together get powerful and fast as opposed to conrol like pink and white...THEORYCRAFTING FTW! Also from the set of posts I missed, I give you my FAVORITE gun wielding Rarity art! OH and I hit Squirrel status last night! Huzzah!!

Christian bronies: meet, greet, and mingle!
Cstriker replied to Zach TheDane's topic in General Discussion
Thats the general consesus of educated christians and apologists. You can use science without understanding God. We have seen it happen. Science used with a lack of moral absolutism and conducted with moral subjectivity gave rise to eugenics, the 1943 German Sterilzation Act under Ernst Rudin, and the systematic murder of the Jewish population of Europe under Adolf Hitler, Adolf Eichman, Josef Mengele, and Heinrich Himmler. Social Darwinism and unrestrained use of technology and science can be reckless and morally corrupt. I digress. They are seperable, but there are consequences.- 3,320 replies

Christian bronies: meet, greet, and mingle!
Cstriker replied to Zach TheDane's topic in General Discussion
Using them as definitions this works, however by using them as your preposition for a logical arguement does not cover other factors such as God interaction on the world. What you said was very articulate, great job! Just remember that they are not soley mutually exclusive and can be mutually inclusive. The Science from an apologists standpoint is absolutely the observations of Gods work. As a Scientist myself (energetic chemist and forensic scientist) and a Christian I firmly believe this logical standpoint and pragmatically, as William James would describe it, the joining of old beliefs with new ideas do not need to destroy each other. Even Neil Degrasse Tyson (a hero of mine) feels that a rejoining of the two needs to occur as they are not a means of disproof of one or the other.- 3,320 replies

Christian bronies: meet, greet, and mingle!
Cstriker replied to Zach TheDane's topic in General Discussion
All though he is being a little zealous on that declaration, what I believe Pinkie is trying to say science is not a means to disprove God but rather to understand what God did. Love and tolerance, it may be a hallmark of Christianity but you have to remember Christians as they are still human, can sometimes forget to be tolerant. Sometimes we Christians can close our minds...JUST like everyone else! Love the sinner, hate the sin I always say. Rave, love that you are pointing out issues in an arguement. Pinkie, i appreciate your tenacity (gesundheit!). Don't let misunderstanding or anger blind each other. Life is too short to be "done" with people over small things...big things, understandable time to time.- 3,320 replies

No need to flame. I agree with Pinkie that science and religion are not mutually exclusive, but Rave has a point. Homosexuality did not create AIDS. Origin of AIDS is tracked to bush meat in Africa, from there it is hypothesized to have spread to humans through bush meat consumption but how it then spread to other humans is a mystery...infected blood? Homosexual contact? It could have been either really.- 3,320 replies

Christian bronies: meet, greet, and mingle!

As a Christian I am going to say no. No you can be saved and still be bisexual. Here is why. First as I mentioned earlier, you can certainly be a sinner and be a christian. Christ loves the sinner, not the sin. As long as you accpet Christ and try to live by his standards you are saved, even if you sin. Caveat, this does not mean go around raping and pillaging but confess to being a christian (someone will say something I know it), but as he said on the sermon on the mount, that to inherit the kingdom of heaven you must be as innocent as a child. This essentially raised the standard of morallity ABOVE humanity and earthly gains/pleasure. It placed into a world of ideas instead of materialism. We can NEVER attain this stance, achieve his standard, but should strive for it. Again check out: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CIw6ngIqaD0 Ravi talks about pastors and saints that were homosexual and the challenges they faced (these ones did not touch children FYI ). Good question though. Everyone thinks that CHRIST SAID DO NOT SIN OR YOU BURN. He never said that, what he came to earth to do was first to establish the law, then to show the path for redemption, then to sacrifice himself for EVERYONE not matter race, creed, orientation, or favorite Pony! Christ was baller yo.- 3,320 replies

Christian bronies: meet, greet, and mingle!
Cstriker replied to Zach TheDane's topic in General Discussion
Path is right here Pinkie. Magic Johnson...oh boy...certainly not a homosexual as we all know. Theres my joke for now. Biologically however it doesn't spread through homosexual contact, but from the transfer of fluids such a blood, mucus, semen, other secretions from our bodies. Infected blood transfusions used to be a big scare until the Red Cross put screening on donors. The virus itself is not selective in who it effects.- 3,320 replies

Christian bronies: meet, greet, and mingle!
Cstriker replied to Zach TheDane's topic in General Discussion
Unfortunately your logic is not correct. Your preposition states that you can't be a christian if you commit sin which is far from the truth. People are Christian because they are sinners, every one of them. Many people completely miss the point of Christs sacrifice. He died for all sins, as a sacrifice for everyone so they through him they are saved. To say you commit a sin therefore are NOT a christian is counter to the purpose of being a Christian.- 3,320 replies

Sin is strong, Christ is stronger. Homosexuality is seen as a sin, but you need to understand first the direction an education christian is coming from. Listen to this to just understand where this is coming from: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CIw6ngIqaD0- 3,320 replies

A.V. Typically people he say this have either heard third party from someone they believe to reputable or have never studied the entire Bible. It's difficult to argue with them too typically due to youth, entrenched views, and popular opinion. To Scrum, what you said on Rape couldn't be farther from the truth. Scrum...confusion comes from the passage you are attempting to use, let alone quote. "If within the city a man comes upon a maiden who is betrothed, and has relations with her, you shall bring them both out of the gate of the city and there stone them to death: the girl because she did not cry out for help though she was in the city, and the man because he violated his neighbors wife." Deuteronomy 22:23-24 "If within the city a man comes upon a maiden who is betrothed, and has relations with her, you shall bring them both out of the gate of the city and there stone them to death: the girl because she did not cry out for help though she was in the city, and the man because he violated his neighbors wife." This is the passage that these people THINK means its ok to rape. "She did not cry out for help." But the bible does not mean literally. When it says "She did not cry for help" it's refering to a woman who wanted to have sex, meaning she did not get raped but hapilly agreed. Had you read the next verse: Deut. 22:25-28 "But if in the field the man finds the girl who is engaged, and the man forces her and lies with her, then only the man who lies with her shall die. 26"But you shall do nothing to the girl; there is no sin in the girl worthy of death, for just as a man rises against his neighbor and murders him, so is this case. 27"When he found her in the field, the engaged girl cried out, but there was no one to save her," This verse clearly delineates the line between adultury and rape. The first girl was willing, as in she committed adultry, the second was rape. Additionally, modern Christians have gone through their growth phase and even the Roman Catholic Church is starting reform again. Christians do not condone stoning nore rape.- 3,320 replies
