Thanks you two!
As much as I want to propose a shipfic flash fiction about your OC and Fluttershy, that will have to wait, because I want to have a bit of fun too c:
Concept: your OC and my OC meet up to take a drink, and they talk for a bit (keeping it simple, I know, but that's to give freedom)
...of course, if that works for you. If not, you can try to write a shipfic about your OC and Fluttershy. Either way, I am helping to give you ideas *yay*
I can definitely do that. Honestly I might end up doing both
Mmmph...
What about a fic where due to reasons bound to you both the Royal Sisters attend to a little tea party taking place in The Kettle? Just to exercise those two in pressure handling,
And I can do that one too, though yours will come a bit later since Lightwing asked first
The order will be OCs -> Royal Sisters -> Elo/shy if I don't have other requests before then

I think this sounds like a fun idea
If you find yourself in need of some characters to get started, you're welcome to subject any of my OCs to examination

This looks really nice. You chose a very unique species for your OC, and I like that. If I may though, there is one thing that I notice about him. I don't know if you intended for him to look more removed from the style of FiM, and if you did then feel free to disregard this, but he would look closer to fitting in with the show's art style if he had the large expressive eyes that just about all FiM characters share

While an interesting take, I'll admit that I got a bit of a different moral from this episode than you did. If you'll be so kind as to listen for a moment...
To me, Rainbow and Pinkie represented the wrong way and the right way to help Griffinstone, respectively. Rainbow just wanted to get the idol and go, thinking she could just slap a band-aid on the problem more or less. Pinkie, however, did much more than spread friendship. She taught Gilda how to make Griffin scones, a skill that she could use to make money and improve her community. There was even a bit of a joke about this, if you remember these lines (well, something along these lines).
Pinkie - "Your scones are missing an important ingredient!"
Gilda - "What? Friendship?"
Pinkie - "Umm, no. Baking soda."
Maybe it's just me wanting to see the good in an episode, but the way I saw the moral, or at least a more subtle part of it, is that you can't just throw money or stuff at a community in crisis and expect everything to be fine and dandy from there. You have to help them help themselves, economically (the scones) and socially (the friendship).
That's my two cents at least

I may not have the time to devote to holding such a position right now, but the enemy of my enemy is my friend after all. If there's something a little smaller I can do to support you guys, feel free to give me a shout.

Unfortunately, I can still see a hint of another letter beneath the wrapping ... No misspelling, sadly. :/
I think I can see that too, but, what would that spell then? Ebony? That's the only word I can think of, but why would these socks say that? What else could it be?
I demand answers, gosh darn it!

Aww, goodness. I'm glad I could make your time here more enjoyable, and that you count me as great at both writing and friendship. I'm really touched that you would include me on your list.
(and as the one helping you with your English, I should probably point out that buddies is a gender-neutral term)

Excellent review DQ! Very well thought out, and it provided a lot of food for thought. If you feel like adding to this already lengthy review, I'd be very interested to hear more about your thoughts on Fluttershy. I felt like she was pretty liable to come off as extremely naive to those who don't suffer from social Anxiety and thus might not be able to extrapolate her motivations as well, or who might have a very different interpretation of her motivations, but that might just be me reacting as someone with Anxiety who is often mislabeled as overly trusting or naive.

I'm actually very surprised to hear this! From what I can tell, the MLP CCG is doing very well over here in the states. I see it in every wal-mart, game or "nerdy" store, and my local comic book store even hosts meetups to play it in addition to selling the cards (or at least it did/does periodically). Basically, around here if you find a place that sells trading cards, it's almost a definite that it sells MLP cards. There were even tournaments for it at Boston Comic-con this summer!
Maybe it's different in the UK, but in the US it seems that MLP:CCG is taking off because of its licensing, not in spite of it.
As for that store that was so rude, I'm appalled but not very surprised. It sounds like you just wandered into one of those "nerd-elitist" venues, the same kind of place where an employee would see a woman walking in and make an unsolicited comment about where she can find the girly princess games...
