  1. Here's what i picture...

Captain's log, stardate 2014.6: Been sitting in the Pony section for 3 hours now...I think they suspect something...Will continue sitting in Pony section to gather more pertinent data on peoples reactions.

You know that old adage about temping fate?

    >_>

As planned I hit Wal-Mart to pick up a few things, but took 30 minutes to chill in the Pepto Bismol asile to see if I would get any reaction or looks. Within minutes a young couple came by and browsed ... inlcuding the MLP stuff. My entire interaction was the woman politely saying, "Uh, excuse me for a sec", as she proceeded to go through a rack of brushables. Noone else came down. I kept looking to see if I would even draw a glance for people walking down the main aisle. Nope. Needless to say, it was pretty much how every other time in the pink aisle went for me in the last 14 years. I walked away empty handed since I exclusively a Funko guy right now.

I got bored so I finished my shopping. One of the items was an AC router, which was on an end cap and did NOT have that typical security band around it. Of course there were no electronics associates there to check out anyway so I simple put the router in the cart and left for the front check out lines.

As I was trying to choose between the long lines to check out I noticed that on the small card game section by the check out lines -- there was a crap ton of Funko's. I went to check them out and saw a Pinkie Pie which I hadn't picked up. In the cart she went. At this point Wal-Mart management must have pressed the trap door under the scant amount of cashiers sending them to the dungeon. The lines were rediculous. Except the self check out line.

I go to check out and scan away and bag my stuff. I scanned the router second to last and bagged it and grabbed the next item in my cart. The screen informed me that I needed management assistance. I forgot that they likely needed to deactivate the theft prevention junk. Within a few seconds a manager comes over to do her thing looks at me with a confused expression and says very loudly, "What? Since when does My Little Pony need management approval?"

I was holding Pinkie Pie in my hand so she must have assumed that that was the the culprit. Then, as if on cue, everyone in earshot  turned their heads to look at me, and sure enough ... glances of mixed disapproval and amusement were all around me. I pointed out that it was the router that triggered it and she scanned it, punched in her code and done. Her parting words were simply, "You know, it would be pretty funny in they did make all these toys require authorization."

Yeah, that happened. I wasn't embarrased or anything, but I couldn't put it out of my mind that many many others would have been in that situation. I have had comments here and there over the years ... but nothing that ever drew attention.

    I blame Pinkie Pie

  2. Zebra Kingdom would be a great idea. Don't know if they all rhyme like Zecora, and if they do that will be one annoying episode in the wrong writer's hands.

And any of the already established non-pony species' homes (Dragons, Griffons, Changelings) would be great.

  3. Until a few months ago I actually was buying MLP merch for my kids, Odd thing is that I never heard a peep buying girls toys before MLP ... and I did during that time.

Either way, comments do not phase me. Even walking down an aisle to buy something doesn't either. Being married with two daughters is like a vaccine for embarrassing purchases. ;)

Now, I'll be going to Wal-Mart afterwork and I may block off an hour just chilling looking at the Pony section and see what happens. I'll post the results here.

  4.

I demand that Stan Lee guest star on My Little Pony. XP

Would have been perfect for Power Ponies! Missed opportunity.

It's cool that Stan The Man tweeted something Brony related ... but from what I've seen and heard about this project ... meh. Then again I'm picky about musical theater productions.

  5. All I know is that Markiplier needs to do some VA work.

As far as other YouTube celebs, Hank Green from the Vlogbrothers is a Brony, he even made a tongue in cheek song about best pony, and created an OC. His brother John has a custom MLP brushie on his shelf in some videos.

  6. Ah, But what if Hasbro went Bankrupt(Which is very Unlikely)? Then they cannot Trademark it. That way we can get what we want!!!

Unlikely to happen since their IP's are valuable enough to be purchased by Mattel or another company. When that happens the trademarks and copyrights associated with the IP are transferred.

And don't go holding your breath on the current copyright limit. Disney lobbied for the change once. Once it starts impacting other corporate entities we will see it extended again.

  7. What Quarium said.

I do have add that there are more than a handful of analysts. If you haven't already, go to the MLP Anslysis subreddit and watch the videos of the ones that are not as popular. You'll start to determine what not to do.

There are a lot of analysts, but like anything in life, if you manage to stand out from the criowd you will be noticed.

Keep your subscriber goals realistic. I've come across too many abandoned YouTube channels. I wonder how many expected larger sub numbers.

The stop motion OC sounds interesting.

    Now go make your videos.

  8. After seeing Jurassic Bark ... the emotional wall I erected was never properly reconstructed. That Futurama episode laid waste to that fabrication, but left shattered remains as a reminder that even cartoons can move me ... And tear my heart asunder.

With MLP ... scootaloo ... those damn shooting stars ... almost got to me. BBBFF did.

    Stupid dog episode

  9. I have ~20 on my phone ... but maybe about a dozen more on my drive. The rough vocals on a few don't bother me as much (I'm a hard core Dylan and Beatled fan and they weren't known for clean pristine voices).

Anyway, I love the fan made music ... but I'm still selective on what I keep on my phone. I have way too much music that I keep rotating through.

  10. Yep, this thread went went there.

They have displayed some equine behavior like snorting and a full buck (RD in Return of Harmony part 2).

The example brought up earlier about scratching and picking is not Kingdom exclusive. It's the same instinct canines have when they scratch. If they had a better appendenge for nose picking, they would do that too.

    This is a weird topic

  11. If this thread tells you anything, it's that personal tastes vary widely. Don't skip an episode if you want to re watch them.

I found episodes I originally disliked a little better on a second viewing, and some I liked didn't hold up as well. And there were a few that became background noise episodes ... but I would not consider them bad episodes.

  12. The next one better be the Crystal Empire. I want crystal ponies. :squee:

There appears to be partial code in there for Everfree that is in addition to the simple image asset. There is an extra image asset group and animation code, nothing I could see indicating quests, dialog, and characters. I was curious when I noticed that Everfree seems to move and scale in the transition from the map to an area.

My guess is that Everfree will be the next area. I see this all the time when they update Simpsons Tapped Out. Little code snippets indicating upcoming content.

And Trenderhoof is going to take me for freaking ever to unlock!
