One thing I dislike about the US is the slow progress to make transgenders equal with everybody else in this country. Still lots of hatred too. Especially compared to the laws and people in Europe.ย
Unforunately, we still have a long way to go here too.ย

Let's hope transgender people get treated with humanity and equally soon.
When I came out to my abusive mother 6 months ago, she made me feel like a complete freak and a total abomination.ย
She was born in '65, so anything and everything outside of the norm was treated as wrong and deserving of scorn and disowning. She even called me a fagot and said I was gonna get beaten because I was trans. I'm glad she's dead now.ย

One lesson I very recently learned is to not seek appreciation from people who refuse (for whatever reason) to give you some.ย Otherwise, you will just continue on trying to impress them, and feel like you fail every single time.
@Bas
Seeking appreciation and validation from others will cause self-esteem issues and, potentially, depression.ยSpeaking of, why is it that, even when you're a grown-ass adult, our parents still feel the need to be helicopter parents and treat you like a child, as if they're under the delusion that they own you?ย
