  1. I am thinking that the swath of land occupying parts of Iraq and Syria needs some equine love. I think they have internet access in those regions so why not MLP online for those living in Mosu, Raqqa, etc. ? I would imagine some MLP merchandise was sold in Iraq at least prior to 2003? Can the ponies of Equestria knock a dent in the hearts of hardened jihadi fighters?
  2. Fiction. I could go on an on regarding this topic. Much of the "evidence" for ancient aliens is simple not true - like perfectly cut stones that are not perfectly cut. Its a bit hard to explain but the ancient aliens theories presuppose "problems" that a working knowledge of real history clears up. The ancient wonders of the world were government projects. What the ancients lacked in terms of technology (compared to modern times) they made up for in terms of time and man hours. There are many of these projects around the globe that are in various stages of completion. We know much of how the ancients did what they did (there are a few unanswered questions) in part because they told us (written manuscripts).
  3. I will go out on a major limb and say the thing needs to be live action ala Transformers & Avatar. I am really aiming for market viability as I have given this thing alot of thought. While Bronies fit one of the best demographics (males 18-25) for movies, they are not enough to fill seats at the magic distribution number of 600 theaters. You got to have a Megan type character. The human side of things is what sells the story. Transformers live action was for everybody and did much better financially than the animated movie which is more for the purists (granted alot of other factors at play). Little girls have to drag their parents to this thing (at least 2 tickets); hard core bronies would watch this thing alone. Little girls will imagine themselves riding a winged equine like the female character. Then they (parents) can drop cash the next Christmas or birthday so miss thang can have her own horse. A.K.A. My Little Pony. Live action is more expensive but is a 2-fer so to speak. Also, the thing needs to be generationless as in not gen 1-4 MLP. It should pull from all 4 but it really needs to be its own thing and not just Friendship is Magic or a rehash of Gen 1. The movie could even launch a new gen of MLP. Last, you need a Steven Spielzebra on this thing. Someone(s) who would quarterback this thing both creatively and market-wise. Throw real money and talent at it (and real distribution) and this thing would certainly be a cash cow. So Hasbro and movie houses I will gladly write the screenplay for you
  4. I am just wondering when MLP will make into South Park. Whale Wars got its own episode and so did pokemon. I see it coming. I am not sure if they have even mentioned MLP (if they have chime in). They have even mentioned Simon & Simon and Step By Step. I would have thought Imagination Land would have had a MLP Pony. I think they had a generic pegasus in that episode . . . ? My Little Brony is right up South Park's Alley. They gave WoW a serious treatment and won an Emmy in the process. Cartman & Mr. Mackey riding ponies - the day cannot come soon enough Mkay!
  5. Actually it is Uni but from Dungeons & Dragons The Series. In my mind he is kinda the proto pony for MLP. Lots of Gen 1 in D&D and 2 voice actors too. Would love to see Sandy Duncan come back. TY!
  6. The movie: Wishmaster - had way too much of an impact on me. If by the "usual rules" and Robin William's reference you mean I am dealing w/ a djinn then I am going to press the pause button on that action.
  7. 2 Words: Ice Cream. In the Doc you have gotten to mention MLP bars. They are tre' tasty says I and I think they could be a bridge builder. Also, it would be interesting to see what people outside of the western world thinks of MLP and Bronies. So take the Doc to Bhutan to get an unsullied take on Bronies.
  8. Kinda of a Brony Nube here so be gentle. But Spike has been around since Gen 1 (84) and is still basically the same (maybe not hence this post). Will he age even a little? The kids at SouthPark have moved up 2 grades since 97. Bart and Lisa have matured a little since the late 80's (OK Maggie is still a baby). I know its a magical poniverse and I know dragons probably age slowly but shouldn't Spike be like a sub-adult by now? Maybe in season 5 he can at least be Bar Mitzvahed or something? Would it not be cool and true to the friendship is magic, friendship for everyone, etc. theme if a big traditional dragon ala Game of Thones or Reign of Fire inhabited a corner of Equestria? Is not a dragon, even a baby one, out of place in EQUESTria? There have been other non-cute characters in MLP history. Maybe far fetched but just throwing it out there. But should not all juvenile characters (baby ponies too) grow up a little?
  9. Read this in a slam poem type cadence and it might come off better. BTW there are show cross over references can you spot them? All My Bronies Sit right back and you'll hear a tale The tail of boy and his pony Whether you got a shiv or a yoni A Pinkie Pie Pop could change view Bring your comrades along bring old bring new Launch from Chincoteague to Equestria we're bound I found that all this sadness is tragic If only people knew that friendship is magic Don't you know that the folks at Hasbro cracked the code And now we owe it to ourselves to say it all the time I'll even tell Megatron, Starscream, and Optimus prime That I liked it tried it If I see a colored horse I'll ride it MLP to spread the news to your soul Find a pegasister then smoke a bowl Its an apple family tradition I'm on a mission to spread cheer Make a Rapidash so all can hear Write a play and win a Tony About how were better off With My Little Pony
  10. Currently, watching Gen 1 MLP & loving it! I started w/ the first two "movies" (well they were sort of movies). Anyways, the poniverse was rich with talent from the get go. The voice actors had already done loads of work prior to MLP, like Sandy Duncan, and others like Nancy Cartwright would go on to bigger things (Simpsons) while others were doing their best work while doing MLP - Peter Cullen otherwise known as Optimus Fricking Prime! The feel is very 80's w/ Gen 1 . . . almost too much so. Anyone who has ever watched Dungeons & Dragons the series sees a ton of it in Gen 1 MLP. Even voice actress Katie Leigh was in both. The original story (for & from Hasbro mind you) is very true to the heart of the original my little pony concept. A girl who likes and rides real ponies (Megan) is whisked away from this world via a flying horse over the rainbow to a magical land to be part of the adventure. Pretty much most 5-9 year old girl's fantasy during the 20th century. Now every girl in America could have their very own little pony for only 9.95 or whatever they were fetching back in 85. So yeah any Gen Xer who likes G.I. Joe, Smurfs (lots of pre-pony in that), Transformers, Etc. Etc. could like Gen 1 if only he/she would open up his/her to equine possibilities. If you like Friendship is Magic you never would have had it if it was not for the cootie-filled lameness that was Gen 1. Seriously, most of the original concepts, and to some extent characters, were set back then. So all hail the original Toy Makers for giving us MLP! BTW. First Post
