Yeah, the ending came from out of the blue and made no sense. The game up until then was amazing, as well as the series as a whole. The thing I find most confusing about it is that even up until the month before the release Bioware insisted that the ending would be amazing, and give loads of closure if you had done everything you could. That anyone could say that when knowing what the endings are seems nearly impossible, so as far as I can tell either those making the claims didn't know what the endings really were, or Bioware just wanted to get the game out as quickly as possible and didn't anticipate the huge reaction from fans. Neither option is very promising for the future of Bioware in my mind, and I'm going to be wary of more games by them.
