  Magical mistake, illusionary magic gone wrong, sentient Everfree creature, product of Discord, pony that got a little too into ancient history... it's really hard to make a being like that NOT seem evil in a pony world. Misunderstood perhaps? Most things foreign to ponykind would probably be considered with at least a little caution. I don't know just listing things off the top of my head haha ^^ maybe you could use the Feathered Serpent as a general outline of the OC, and tweak/'...

  -- 'ponify' it's history to make it fit better in the pony world. Perhaps it could be an OC from the Discord Era which gained free will and self awareness and all that, and was mistaken for a God by some crazy Zebra tribe or something *shrug*
