      Videogames inspired me to be an artist, but I just don't have the time anymore to play them like I used to. I freelance as well as work full time as a designer, so my way around it is to listen to game OSTs and look at the art. MLP helps me relax :) and you can switch off while watching it. I play RPGs and you can't just have a 'quick' game of Fallout...they are super time consuming.

      Well if it wasn't for shows like MLP, and being so inspired by the artists behind them, I wouldn't have pursued art at all. I owe a lot to communities such as this one for keeping me motivated. Thank you, I'll be sure to upload more in future :)

    Hi everyone, I'm still new to this fandom, and have yet to watch a lot of the series (but it is wonderful!). Apologies if I am posting in the wrong forum but I wondered how frequent/popular are conventions? And what are they like? I've never even been to comic con but I hear these places have a lot of MLP fans too. It would be interesting to go along someday Thanks!

    Aww thanks everyone! I'll be sure to PM if I need to ask anything Yes...many people seem to jump to conclusions when I mention the series (and its fanbase), but I can only see people enjoying the show and sharing their ideas, stories, art...etc. It's really nice, and the world needs more of it. It can make life difficult when people ask me what my interests and fandoms are but you just have to be yourself and the right people will respect and appreciate you! luckily I have many creative friends who love the show also.

    Hello there! Thank you for your welcome it's good to see such a close-knit community for such a well-loved series. As a kid I watched the original MLP, so I guess I'm not totally new haha!
