Exactly! I think if more people came into a debate with a mindset of humility, there would be more understanding and less bickering. But people have this idea that debating = arguing. Those are two different animals, haha.

I know, right! Everyone seems to take a debate as a battle, thus leading to arguing and anger, when it should be an exchange of opinions, and let both sides to learn about the other's views.

It's never that easy, unfortunately, lol. Thus, why I generally steer clear of the debate pit. If I do drop my thoughts in a thread, I have no intention of continued participation xD If I find it interesting enough, I just read from that point on.
