Alex Van Gamer

Red and Strider haven't really done anything to bring themselves higher or lower on the list. You're OC's hot temper, the fact that Alex could have actually been killed, and her attitude for attacking Caliber (who as you can see is at the top of her list now) effected Tyra's ranking. You know, I was also tempted to add Discord to this list. (possibly under Tyra, but above Lunar... Or maybe even above Tyra too, but the former sounds a little more likely). I imagined at least one encounter with him when Alex crossed through Ponyville. Involving the phrase 'Laughter is the best medicine'. It's this connection type thing where, her friend heard it from Discord when he was traveling and shared it with her when he got back home. She questioned Discord about where he'd heard that expression from, and he explains he's the one who told some canine about it years ago. Hearing the origin of where her friend told her the expression, her social liking for Discord went up slightly. Mind you, this is only because the expression had a big impact on her life, so if Discord had never told her friend about it, stuff would have been quite different for her in this AU, she probably wouldn't even be with the group right now. Plus, dem cotton candy clouds are da best~!

Glancing back at Trya slightly, but still keeping her focus on where she was going, Alex explained. "Well, none of the games really explain the origins behind a keyblade. But essentially, it's a large key that's about the same size as a sword. It doesn't have a sharp blade mind you, but it's definitely good for whackin' evil-doers with. And an effective killing weapon!" She said with a smirk. "It's main purpose is to seal or open barriers between the different worlds in the Kingdom Hearts universe!" "As for the Master Sword, it was originally known as 'The Goddess Sword'. It was created by the Goddess Hylia in order to defeat Demise if he ever decided to make a return visit... er well, resurrection is the correct term, but whatevs... Anyway, it has the power to repel all evil, evil auras, curses, transformations, it can even seal away evil and stuff like that. Plus, it can dispel magic barriers." She beamed. "Only a worthy hero can wield it and is deemed the 'Warrior of Time' and it's usually the only weapon that can defeat Ganondrorf!" The canine added. Though of course, she knew this information from reading manuals and notes about the games other ponies had written down in notebooks when she found them. She never got to play many of these game's series to their completion, but enjoyed them when she could.

Caliber is also over 100, but since he showed off them sweet swords, he got ranked higher first. With Amoré's comment about the swords actual name, (though I didn't edit my post to add it in) Alex heard it, and that bumped Amoré from third to second on the list. And since Alex doesn't know as much as either of them, she'll definitely wanna hear ALL about those 'ancient' games that were before her time

XD It's all about dem priorities man~ Gamer's just rank high on her list. At the moment, her friendship making check-off list goes like this: 1. Caliber 2. Amoré 3. Radiant 4/5. Red/Strider (interchangeable at the moment, though with Red showing interest in checking out dem swords, she's stretching a bit higher) 6. Tyra 7. Lunar And until Alex meets Ironeye, she is currently unranked

Also, yay for Amoré being a game-nerd too! Second in line on Alex's buddy list! (Pushing Radiant down to third~ XP ) XD We're not stealing if they're paid for. Buuut, I'm sure Alex would be hesitant about it even if Caliber told her they were paid for. She'd leave a small gem for the filly, no worries~

Does that mean his shop'll be closed? Or, since he's a filly, he forgot to lock it cuz he was freakin' out about all dem bits? Then Caliber and Alex could just... walk in. I mean, Caliber did pay for 'quiet a few' of them. He could be all like, 'Yeah, I already payed for these. Pick one if you want, I'm comin' back for the rest of them later anyway' or some blah like that.

"Coming~!" Alex cheered excitedly, turning to Red and gestured her to follow suit if she wanted to as the canine ran after Caliber. "Ah! The nostalgia!" The diamond dog squealed, in hot pursuit. "It's been AGES since I've seen those blades! I can't believe somepony actually made them and they're USEABLE!" Alex beamed. "Do you know how many times I wished they were real!?! I've always wanted to wield something like... The spiked sword Meta Knight uses, or... or The Buster Sword, or... Well.. ANY video game sword in the history of video games!!!"

The diamond dog practically squealed with excitement when Caliber said he'd take her to the shop with all those awesome swords, the others could definitely see the excitement as well, especially considering her tail was wagging like crazy. Her ears stood up at attention, staying quiet for a moment as she thought it over a moment. She had a sudden thought to ask Strider and Radiant, since they usually made the official decisions for the group... But she was old enough to make her own decisions... She didn't need somepony else to tell her what she could or couldn't do. That was one of the reason she left home... Besides, she knew where the rest of the group members would be when she and Caliber returned, so there was no problems there. With that decided, she eagerly nodded her head towards Caliber. "Yeah! Let's go there now before it get's any later!" The canine replied.

Alex had seemed to unintentionally wandered off into her own little world. In a state between listening to what was going on, subconsciously nodding when deemed accurate, but still not quite processing everything. It didn’t happen often, but she was never quite sure what it was that caused her to enter this sort of dream-like state... Her father never liked when she did this, especially when scolding her about... well, anything really. He’d always assumed she was trying to blow him off or ignore him. Which of course, was never her intention, but it would get her in even more trouble because of it... Once this strange state of mind past though, the next thing she knew, she was with the rest of the group in front of the Inn. She turned to see Caliber standing beside a table with a few items laid over it, she wasn’t quite sure what they were at the moment due to the recent zone-out, but she followed after the other group members. When she approached the table however, her eyes suddenly lit up. "O-oh... sweet... Celestia... A-are these...? No way... The Elucidator, The Musamune.. albeit a shorter version of it... A-and The MASTER SWORD!?" She exclaimed, looking up at Caliber again, a spark of awe and jealously displayed in her eyes. "Where did you say you got them from?" She asked almost immediately afterwards. Alex vaguely remembered he had said something about it, but she was still in her wacko state at the time. A part of her tone seemed a bit demanding, but that was because she HAD to know where he had gotten them. She wasn’t much of a sword wielder herself, but if these were the types of swords somepony was selling, she just had to get one to wield for herself. (OOC: Although the whole zoning out thing was my fault. It is now canon for Alex in this AU, cuz yeah XP )

XD It is DEFINITELY a lot of fun! I'm usually a pretty shy person, but acting can kinda help break me out of that shell. I'm sure if I take enough I would feel open enough to run around naked in public (well... not literally, since that's against the law, but it's just an expression... type... thingy... )

Cool! I like acting cuz you can try to do things/be people you never thought you would. The classes are especially fun cuz it's like you're reaching into your inner kid again with the different warms ups and exercises, interpretation practices and all that other stuff~ ^u^ And I'm always so childish at heart anyhow. I just don't really show it too much out in public.

ikr?! >3< I think it went pretty well. Although my partner and I had a few misdone lines, we stayed in character. So we should still get a passing grade on our performance

Ah gosh. I've been zoning on and off all day, was busy pretty much all day yesterday with my exam and between the two hours I decide to leave to someplace I have no internet tonight, I come back and Caliber's showin' off his swords. Vvvvt... ....Let me just do a bit of ketchup so I can get Alex at the right spot to start geekin' out...

Welp! My exam is done for today~ Only got one more tomorrow, which should be easy cuz it's theater class and I've got my lines already memorized

Alex's ears perked up at hearing the mare's laughter. That was what, four of the seven ponies she finally heard laugh now... well, eight ponies, if she included the new pony she hadn't really met yet. The statement confused her a moment through before she quickly was able to connect the dots. The canine chuckled a little and smiled, "Thanks for the help. I dunno what I'd do if I lost all those gems for a phoney one. I've never encountered anyone who tried giving me fake gems before. I'm sure if anycanine back home tried, they'd easily be sniffed out." "Of course!" Alex said. "Cross my heart and hope to fly, stick cotton candy clouds in my eye~!" She beamed with a giggle, eagerly, but carefully taking the gem in her paws. The diamond dog nodded her head at the suggestion. "Yeah, sure. I could go for something to eat!" She replied as she got up onto her hind legs. "Oh! Then here." She held the gem back to the mare. "I'm sure you'd be more confident if you held onto it until we meet up with the group, I'll take a look at it later." Alex added with smile.

Woo! So long as mah OC's laughter, I'm good! Though I believe Midnight mentioned that she wasn't really aiming to be one of the elements... That was a while back I think when she said that... (EDIT: Though I think the love thing was something she mentioned, now that I think about it) True, okay. I don't feel to bad now.. Alex's dad though in this thing... Fwooo. I was kinda thinking of adding a branch of her story including bringing him into the rp (as well as a pack of other diamond dogs), but I dunno... The idea still hasn't left mah mind though...

Thanks guys. I've still got about 2 hours before I gotta go take it. Till then Imma post maybe one or two responses in the rp, hopefully my third Pinkie Post in the EqE, and then head off to study. (I may skip the Pinkie Pie step though since those posts can get pretty long. And studying's hard >3< ) As for the other elements. My OC's got a light blue gem on her bowtie, it was her mothers (who, in this AU passed away after giving birth, sadly). Maybe that one could be laughter, but like. Someone forcibly changed it's shape? *shrugs* I dunno. Hopefully my character can start showing more laughter traits soon though. I want's her ta have that element .....I just realized the fact that both Amoré and my oc lost their mothers in this.... goddammit for unoriginality! >3<;

Alex's eyes lit up as she gazed at the purple and pink gem. "Oh my gosh! It's soo preeeeettttyy!" She exclaimed, "I'm sooo jealooouuussss!" The diamond dog smiled at Amoré. "I’m glad to hear you finally got something to eat too." She added. The gem pony gazed at the gem in amazement as well. However, when the mare suddenly requested that he take out his gems to display to them, he suddenly got even more hesitant. These two clearly had keen eyes for gems and would spot his fakes out in an instant. "Ah-ha yes. H-how silly of me. But uh... Heh, you know what? Now that I think about it, I don’t think my gems are at their best, pristine shine at the moment to display. Maybe I’ll run to you a little later ya?" Hopefully not... Awkwardly, he excused himself and slunk away. Alex raised a brow slightly, finding his excuse and exit weird, not to mention she could tell Amoré hadn't seemed to fond of him either. "Well... That was... something..." She said, placing her gems back inside her breast pocket. "Aaaanyways.." She turned back to the mare. "Can I have a closer looksie at your gem, please?" She asked, her tail wagging in excitedly.

@@Midnight_Aurora Alex and the conpony turned to look at the the mare that approached them. The diamond dog smiled at her, "Hey Amoré! I was just walking’ around a bit and this stallion came over to me and asked if I wanted to do a little gem trading." The earth pony’s confidence seemed to waver a bit from the look Amoré gave him, but tried his best to recover it, but wasn't really too successful. "Uh, yes. A-and we... we had just come to an agreement. S-soo..." He waved his held out hoof again, gesturing for the gems to be handed over. The canine looked back at the merchant and closed her hand around the gems, "Hold on a moment." She said, turning towards the mare again. Her nose quickly picked up the scent of the gem inside Amoré’s bag, but she also noticed the mare's coat seems to be a much brighter, rosy pink and Amoré herself seemed to be much more chipper than she had been earlier this morning. "You seem a little different..." She stated, deciding to talk about that part first. "Brighter... I like it! You do something with your coat, or take a cheerfulness pill or somethin'?" She chuckled a bit, obviously not being serious about the pill thing.

Alex didn't want to stay in one place while all the other ponies were off doing their own little things. However, she wasn't quite sure where to go or what to do. So, with an awkward excuse to leave Lunar behind, she went off to wander aimlessly around the different shops and other buildings... She wasn't quite sure what to do or get... Strider mentioned restocking on supplies... Well, the only thing she was really low on was food... Though Tyra said she was going to do that wasn't she? The canine groaned. What was she going to do!? "Just... Just keep wandering..." She muttered to herself. "You... Ya just need a spark of inspiration... Or somethin'... Yeah! Just keep looking..." Alex was so focused on wondering what she was going to do, she wasn't really paying attention to where she was going. Ponies had to evade her left and right, giving her looks or even yelling at her, but she payed them no mind. However, when she felt a sudden shift in weight in her satchel, the diamond dog immediately turned to the bandit trying to steal the contents of her bag. She snarled at them angrily, causing them to back off. Placing a paw over her bag, Alex looked through her bag real quick to make sure nothing was stolen. She didn't have much in there to begin with, but still, better to be safe than sorry. Finding none of her things were taken, she continued on her aimless venture, this time, keeping a closer eye out on anypony who may attempt to snag something from her again. Suddenly an earth pony tapped against her back. She turned growling, just in case it was another bandit, what with encounter only moments ago. He had a grey coat and a black hooded cape on, she couldn't see many other details aside from that. "Easy there lil pup." The pony cooed, holding up a hoof. "I'm only here for business... I noticed that you seem to be a bit far from home, aren't you?" Alex raised a brow. "Yeah, so?" "Well, you're a diamond dog, and normally diamond dogs stay up in the mountains where all the gems are. Correct?" "Yes. That's the typical thing... Gems tend to appeal their interest along with most other shiny things..." "As I thought. So! I'm going to go forward and assume you have the same opinion on gems?" "...Sure, but I don't see why—" "Wonderful! See, I have a few gems on me myself. But, with most ponies here focused on supplies, nourishment, and the occasional pick pocket, my business in the gem selling aspect isn't the best. And if you wouldn't mind looking at my wears, maybe we could make a trade?" "Hmm..." Alex thought the offer over a moment, she'd never really seen anypony try to sell or trade gems before. And she had a few she could possibly trade for better ones... Though that depended on what this pony had... "Let me see whatcha got first?" She replied. "Excellent!" Holding up a part of his hood out to the side, there were several pockets that seemed to have a variety of different gems and such categorized by color and transparency. Alex's eyes lit up a bit in excitement as she sat down in front of the stallion to get a better look. She tried to reach out and inspect one of them a bit closer, but the pony held his hoof in front of her to stop her. "My apologize, but if you want to hold it, you must pay me first. You can't be sure around these parts, seeing as somepony could simply run off with it. You understand, don't you?" "Oh! Right. Yeah... I guess that makes sense..." She replied with a nod. "What are you looking for in return for it?" She asked. "I don't really have any bits, but I've got a few gems I can trade." Alex puts a paw into her vest's breast pocket before pulling out the few gems she still had, not noticing that in doing so, her actions revealed the gem upon her bow tie. The stallion looked over the gems a moment, but had a look of disinterest, having found a different gem in mind. "These are nice..." The pony stated. "But that one you have around your neck seems a lot more... valuable~" The diamond dog placed a hand over the gem on her neck, a bit hesitant of the man's offer. "Y-you want... this one... Erm... I-I can't really do that um..." She glance around a moment, trying to think of something else. "W-what if I gave you all the gems besides that one...?" She asked, uncertainly. The conpony pretended to think it over for a moment before shrugging. "Sure, that seems fair enough and it'll make both of us happy." Alex sighed a bit in relief. The earth pony held out a hoof to take the gems from her. "Gems please?" He requested.

XD Alright, well I'm about done now. 3417 characters and it took about 1 hour, 42 minutes, 20 seconds, and about 63 milliseconds. (XD I had a stop watch next to me.) But I've got an exam tomorrow, so I gotta head off to bed now. I'm not gunna go over that long ass response, so apologies if their are spelling errors or whatever in them. I'll read your response in the mornin'. G'night Midnight~! (And anyone else who's still awake ;P)

Yeah, I was kinda thinking that my character had heard about the elements before (as like a legend or rumor or whatever), but of course, had never seen them since they're WAY before her time. Or maybe someone mentioned them as a joke, so she didn't really believe it. But I dunno. What do you think?

Oh yeah. She'll probably fawn over that gem for a bit!
