Alex Van Gamer replied to Lightning Roller's topic in Everfree Roleplays
@@Lil' Lovebug, Comet smiled softly in amusement and nodded towards the stallion before the tavern was locked up behind them, returning his attention towards the unicorn as she managed to find a fairly small umbrella from her bag. Satin gestured from him to join her under the umbrella, but the stallion lifted up a hoof and shook his head. "Thank you kindly, but I'll be fine." He replied, putting his hoof back down and proceeding to lead the mare to the hotel. He honestly didn't care much about the rain. And —had the situation been reversed, with him possessing the umbrella— he would have given it to her to use for herself regardless. -

@@Glacies Frost, As luck would have it, the young canine just so happened to catch sight of the glint of the quill's sapphire jewel. And, being the Diamond Dog she was, her first natural instinct would be to gravitate to such a shiny object. With ears perked up and eager, wide eyes, Alex found herself dropping her sugar cookie and sitting beside the stallion's table in mere moments paws gripping the edge of the table and her tail wagging excitably behind her. "Ohmygosh-ohmygosh-ohmygosh! Is that a Sapphire encrusted Quill!?" Alex said out loud, trying hard not to squeal with delight. Her sudden attraction towards the quill in question made her completely forget about making any sort of proper introduction. As such, the canine wasn't really expecting an answer to her question, disregarding the unicorn she had so rudely interrupted from his work, her eyes fixated with the small item before her. "I didn't know ponies did that sort of thing with their gems too! That's so weird, but it's so pretty at the same time!" -

@@Lil' Lovebug, "Oh, why thank you, but I can buy my own room. I wouldn't mind being escorted to the hotel, though. I'm afraid I'll get lost." Satin giggled. She quickly finished her drink and wiped her muzzle with a napkin. "Oh my! Excuse me, I'll be right back," she said, hurriedly walking back to where she'd been sitting before. After a moment she returned to the bar, a large bag in tow. "My, I got so distracted up here, I almost for got about this. Thankfully, it was untouched." "As you wish, my dear." He replied with a soft smile and a nod. The stallion then waited patiently as the mare hurried off to a corner of the bar to retrieve her things. "A good thing, indeed." Comet agreed as he climbed down from his seat. Once Satin finished her drink and gestured him to lead the way, he nodded, turning back towards the tan stallion once more. "Thank you again for your hospitality," he told the barkeep. "And please, give my thanks to Mr. Roller for the drink." He added. And with that, Comet began making his way out of the bar. Comet made sure to hold the door open for the unicorn, however, it was at that point that he realized there was a light drizzle going on outside. "Oh dear... Had I known the weather schedule, I wouldn't have left my umbrella in my room... You don't by chance have one in your bag that you could use, do you...?" He asked. -

@@Lil' Lovebug, Satin appeared disheartened about the tan stallion's announcement for the night's closing, as she managed to buy another drink before the barkeep moved elsewhere. She then turned back to the silver earth pony as she spoke again. "Oh. I too am on vacation. I'm here to see a musician that I enjoy who's supposed to play in a couple days. After that, I'll probably stay for a while to sight-see and the such, then back home for me." "Really?" Comet responded, intrigued. "Well there certainly are a lot of musicians and performances that love traveling around to share their work. I do hope you find some enjoyment with their performance then." He said with a curt nod. Satin made acknowledgement to his statement as she put a hoof to her chest to continue through their conversation. "I hail from Canterlot. And while it is quite a large city, it pales in comparison to this confusing place." "Canterlot you say? Well, that certainly is high class." The stallion noted. "Unfortunately I've never had the chance to go there myself, so I can't say that I can make the comparison for myself. But I'll take your word for it. My schedule makes traveling so hard to mange... Although my friend Alex, on the other hoof, seems to have all the free time in the world for that sort of life." He said with a soft sigh, his mind wandering for a split moment. It was fairly clear from his tone of voice that he had strong feelings for this certain someone. "She has a natural knack for gem finding you see, and plenty of time in the day to do so. Admittedly, I'm a bit jealous..." Admittedly, the silver stallion could probably talk about his friend for hours if left to do so, but he seemed to notice his sudden shift in the topic as he quickly shook his head and cleared his throat, muttering a soft apology and took another drink from his mamosa. There was another brief pause in their conversation as Satin also took a few more sips of her beverage, allowing herself to savor its contents. "Not all good things can last I guess. We should probably finish up before he decides to kick us out. I'm sure you probably have places to be, and I need to find a place to stay for the next week or so." "I suppose not." Comet agreed, finishing up the last of his drink. However, after she mentioned their parting of ways, he straightened to attention, seeming almost horrified at the thought. "Oh goodness no, Ms. Satin! It would be horribly irresponsible of me to leave a lovely lady, such as yourself, unsupervised in a city like this so late at night." He stated. "Honesty, I was planning on making my way back to my hotel after this. Please, allow me to escort you there and rent you a room for the night." The silver mare offered, placing a hoof against his chest, hoping that she would oblige. -

@@Lil' Lovebug, Comet let out a small chuckle at the mare's personal opinion of the city. "Yes, I suppose the layout of this city can be rather daunting." He said with a nod, taking another sip of his mamosa. "As for me, I'm on a bit of a vacation... You see, I used to live here in Manehatten when I was just a colt; and I grew up on all the classical arts!" The silver stallion threw a hoof out in dramatic gesture, emphasizing his passion for the subject. There was a small pause in the conversation, as the barkeep handed Satin her drink and announced that he would be closing up the bar for the remainder of the night. He gave the tan stallion a nod of acknowledgement and a thanks for his hospitality before turning his attention back to the mare. "Needless to say, I missed them dearly, as well as some of the family I have that still live in the area." He added, placing his hoof back down on the countertop as he spoke. "I'm only planning to stay here for a few more days before I head back home to Ponyville." -

[Link to OOC] @@Glacies Frost, It was bright and sunny morning and walking down one of the main streets of Ponyville was a grey and blue styled Diamond Dog named Alex. Currently, the canine's best friend was off visiting his hometown and distant family up in Manehatten, so she decided to simply enjoy a leisurely stroll around town, a bone-shaped sugar cookie in her paw that she'd purchased fresh from Sugar Cube Corner. She wasn't quite sure what her plans were going to be for the day. Aside from possibly playing a few games at the arcade, but that was never quiet as fun to do on her own... Alex took a bite from her sugary treat as she glanced around at the other morning ponies going about their daily routines. Fairly similar to that of her home town... minus the constant digging, arguing and gem collecting of course. A change she much well preferred to be honest. -

@@Lil' Lovebug, Comet Dancer happily accepted his drink with a small utter of thanks, bringing his beverage to his mouth and taking a sip. He smiled softly, enjoying the flavor. As he took another sip of his drink, he began to notice that other ponies were beginning to join him at the bar, which was a welcomed change. One such patron, a lilac unicorn, ordered her own preferred drink then seemed to turn her attention towards him "Greetings. Mr. Dancer, was it? My names Satin." She said, holding a hoof out towards the silver stallion. "Oh! yes, it was." He replied in confirmation; and, not forgetting his manners, he humbly accepted the mare's hoof in his own and gave a firm, yet gentle shake. "A pleasure to meet you Ms. Satin." He added. @@Lightning Roller, @@Moon Dancer., Though he had thought the dark grey unicorn would turn to leave once his business was done, it would seem the stallion's attention was shifted towards him instead. "Names Crystal Cog." He said, with a rather calm tone. The silver earth pony managed a small smile and turned his head slightly to acknowledge him. "Comet Dancer." He responded back, returning his gaze towards the tan pony as he was addressed to. "You must be relatively new around here" He said, his gravely voice easily carrying through room. Comet chuckled softly and nodded. "Well yes, I suppose I might as well be." He replied with a nod. "That was Lightning Roller, he's a small time artist around here, real down to earth fellow for a pegasus." He chuckled a little at this, shaking his head slightly. "I've known him since he moved into town, heck I even gave him his first gig." His face softened a little as he reminisced, "Needless to say, he's a good friend of mine." He turned his attention to the gray unicorn giving him a nod. "Ah yes, I believe I managed to catch sight of a guitar as he made his way outside." Comet noted, recalling the instrument in question from the scene that had played out just minutes ago... "I'm glad to hear that you were able to help aid in his career. It can be rather difficult sometimes for starting-out performers. Speaking from experience, that is." He turned his attention to the gray unicorn giving him a nod, "I appreciate you putting that thing away." As he pointed to where the spear had disappeared. The barkeep brought his gaze back to rest on the silver stallion, "Now what can I get for you? seeing as lightnin' payed for you and all." He motioned to his selection of bottles along the shelves behind him. "Oh right, of course... Might I have a concoction with some orange juice in it, please?" He asked. -

@@Lightning Roller, @@Moon Dancer., Comet was quiet surprised with the mare's brisk response, followed by her suddenly bolting out of the tavern. He remained stunned there for a moment or two before quickly snapping out of his daze. He was planning to go out and follow the startled pony when Lightning announced that he would go check on her. The silver stallion simply nodded his head as the other politely excused himself. He hadn't expected his acquaintance to go on to buy him a drink while covering for his own, and so he had no time to thank the pegasus before he set off. Glancing up towards the door for a moment, the earth pony turned back to the bar and retook his seat; barely batting an eye towards the armored stallion. "Well that was certainly very kind of him." He spoke aloud, looking up at the barkeep. "However, I never managed to catch his name." -

"Tell me about the history of this place... I could careless about the drinks... so don't go advertising about your products with me..." The silver stallion almost scoffed at this stranger's behavior, but quickly decided to ignore him in turn as he got up from his seat to kneel down towards the fallen mare. "Are you alright there?" Having just come from the nearest theatre, a silver-coated stallion made his debut on the scene, humming the soft tune from the play's finale as his hooves danced to its melody. Oh how he missed the acting and art of Manehatten! His life's aspirations! What drove him to be the stallion he was now. As his melody came to a close, Comet looked up to catch sight of the buzzing neon blue sign. He took pause for a moment of contemplation. His hotel was not too far from here, and a hearty drink or two would be a welcomed compliment to his nice evening. So with that in mind, he decided to make his way inside the tavern. @@Lightning Roller Upon entering the establishment, he could tell there was already quiet the variety of patrons here. planning Planning a RP, Looking for interested players/story planners
Alex Van Gamer replied to Lightning Roller's topic in Everfree Planning, OOC & Discussion
Hey there! I was wondering if I could possibly join with my OC Comet Dancer. He's mostly centered around living in Ponyville as a professional dancer, but he was born in Manehattan and grew up on some of the classic plays and performances of the time. He just had to move after an issue with some bullies from school. He hasn't been back there in years! So I think Comet would probably travel there for a few weeks vacation and catch up on some of the things he's missed. -
Hey guys, I knows it's been quite a long while, but I think I'm finally ready to pick up the ball and start Roleplaying here again. I've really missed this site, as well as it's community, and I want to get myself involved in it again.

Howdy~ I just wanted to shortcut in to say that I'd like to give this mare a shot. However, I'm a little busy this week with college work. But I can probably get some time in around Sunday to draw her if that's alright with you?

Aw gee. I kinda tumbled downhill a bit, didn't I? I'll pop online every now and then, but I probably wont be jumping into RPing for a little while more.

Oh what a humerus jest this is, to see a novice try to claim right to such chaotic power. Truly, you do not understand the gravity of what you have gotten yourself into. But I will confess that I commend you for having the nerve for challenging me for such a role. I hereby say that I shall accept your challenge for this endeavor. But be warned. My skill in comedy and chaos knows NO bounds! And the results will have you LITERALLY shaken down to the bone. And so forth! I call upon the audience of those perusing this current thread to suggest how we are to compete. Prompt suggestions seems the most suiting so that my opponent and I can have a setting to work with, and the best chaotic response shall claim dominion over the Lord Of Chaos himself. Ah yeah. I gotcha. Looking the idea over, it admittedly does work for his character to have a neat, and spontaneous surprise arrival. And yeah, I'd totally still be up to doing this. Though the way you advertised it makes it seem more like a group rp sort of thing, a one-on-one rp could work as well~ ^^ -
