Sweet_Melody

"I-i'm ok!" Melody tried to scoot back before he could do anything, but she saw him come closer. She didn't want to show her fear, or her pain.... But she just couldn't help it, and she started shaking a ton. She listened to what he said, but kept silent. She looked up at him when he smiled, and tried to smile back, but had no such luck. She felt him wipe away the tear, and forced herself not to whimper, even though everything in her being wanted her to....

Melody looked at Psych, surprised. "You're blind? O-oh.... i'm...so sorry... I didn't know..." She felt bad after what she did, she didn't know about his disability.... Her ears flopped down. "I didn't mean to get scared, it's just.... I've always had a hard time trusting ponies.... Even close friends....You never know when they can become enemies...." She sighed. She went through her memories of friends who had turned against her after this war started. She remembered the pain and the sorrow she had for them... And knew their actions had led to their downfall. She thought about her parents, who were no longer here, but knew she needed to make up for their absence. She felt her cheek get warm, and gasped, realizing she had started to cry involuntarily. She turned her head away from Psych, even though she knew he couldn't see her tears. Yet, she knew others could... and thus kept her mane over her tear stained eyes. She didn't want to seem weak, she wanted them to know she could help them in any way they need it. But crying was not a sign of strength to her.

@@Count Paradox @@Pucksterv Melody noticed his ears twitched and stepped aside a bit when he yelled. "R-Right..... " She said, and looked over at Harcourt and Trivy, noticing they were fighting. Oh no.... She thought with uneasiness... She couldn't shake the feeling that they were talking about her, even though she could not hear them.

Melody noticed Psych was staying behind a little. She slowed down a bit to get to beside him. "Hello there..." She said to the pony, trying to be friendly. "You have joined this group as well?" Melody kept her head forward as she talked and walked, trying to stay attentive to her surroundings...

Melody saw Trivy walk back to the group, and didn't hesitate to continue walking. Baltimare.... She thought, I've never been there.... As they continued walking, Melody stayed next to Harcourt, and tried to kick away any rocks that were in his way, it was the least she could do.

Melody listened to Trivy, still trying to get a good look at what was happening. She was very curious about what was happening. Come on... Come on.... What is it? Who is there??? She thought to herself. She finally got a peek at Psych, noticing he was tangled. She gasped a little, surprised to see there were even more ponies out here.

Melody heard Harcourt's command, and found herself being pulled into the group closer. This made her feel very uncomfortable, but she also knew that it would keep her safe from whatever was going on. Hopefully it's nothing too....scary..... She thought to herself. She crawled through the group and to right behind the cart with the fillies. She tried to see what they were up against but couldn't get a good view of anything.

"No, my lady - though you've just earned quite a few points with me. Melody Smiled. The cart's far heavier than one would think, and the workout keeps me from turning into a fat, lazy pony. Besides, dragging this pile of splinters is a curse I would never wish on a fine damsel such as yourself." She giggled a little, and opened her mouth to reply, but noticed he went into a bow, and stopped herself from her statement. "But merely the offer you've made warms my cold heart. Were I still a young stallion, I would endeavor to perhaps steal a kiss from you, but I will simply bear the burden of your loveliness as we travel on together." Melody blushed as well, "I-I am happy to be of company and delight to you..." "My deepest apologies, my lady - old habits die hard, and my habits are quite old by now. I do forget myself sometimes." Melody noticed his happiness, and she too was happy that she had made his day just a little brighter. She hoped that with her showing her concern and care for the others, that even after they knew her identity, they would still accept her. She followed happily.

Melody sighed. She was used to carrying her own weight, as she had been living alone for quite awhile now.... "I'm willing to do whatever you need me to do, as long as it helps in some way." Melody offered a smile, which she hadn't done truely to many ponies ever in the past, but she knew these ponies were her last hope at this time. Melody started walking a little faster, and caught up to Harcourt. She examined what he was doing and sensed a feeling of dread in him. She wanted to make a good impression to them, so they knew she was of no harm.... "I can tell you are having trouble pulling that cart.... Would you like some help?" Melody has always been smaller than the average pony, yet her wings were bigger than the normal pegasus.... This difference usually made her seem weaker, but she was actually much stronger than she appeared to be.
