Stardust*

@@Randimaxis, Stardust took a few steps back, "Finished." She marveled at the work that she had done to the gazebo, it might not be much but at least it is a bit more presentable. She was covered in dust and dirt, she decided to head to the stream close by to wash up before heading back to talk to Harcourt and Lilith. The sky was still dark, it seemed as if it was always darkest before the dawn, and Stardust loved it. The stars were so bright, shining with extraordinary light, she knew that most of those stars were dead, but the light that was still there, the hope of somepony out in the vast galaxy to cast their eyes upon its light just one last time before it disappears forever. Stardust loved that about the stars, the fact that even after thousands of years of giving off light, even when they die, they still shine on. Giving of themselves so that others might learn and find their way with what was left over. What am I doing that is so wrong? I feel lost, but I don't know what to do to fix it. I can't find my path that I need to take. Those stars are losing light and there is nothing I can do to fix that. Only she can choose to give them light. I guess I must wait, wait for them to die, or wait for them to explode with fire. I do hope that it is the latter. Her song, her speech, her pain, it couldn't have been only for Trivy. But what else could it be? Why can I not remember, she must have told me, but so much is blank. Why can I not remember?! She shook her body to dry her coat and mane. She took a deep breath and she made her way back to the cottage. She noticed Harcourt was out by the wood that he had gathered earlier. "Hey, I found where we should have the private meetings with the Grand Ranger. It is just past the property, there is a little gazebo, it is open enough to see all around, but out far enough for the privacy." She gave him a smile. "Awe, come here!" She embraced him with one of her famous bear hugs. "You looked like you needed this." She squeezed just a little bit tighter before she let go. She chuckled quietly as she stepped back. "Time is short, the rangers won't be here right at first light, but they won't be too long after. How far have we gotten in preparing the other ponies?" She asked.

The dining hall has enchanted music, but I guess there could be a small one in the corner. Honestly I have been thinking of it and, what if it's kinda like the defense against the dark arts class in Harry Potter. Like mixing it in with actual defense moves but spells or something at the same time. Possibly? Just a thought, up to you though.

This one is by far my favorite!

Seeing as it was nearly dawn, Stardust was in a hurry to find a place where the Grand Ranger could speak with each member of the group uninterrupted and undisturbed. She was hoping that Harcourt and Lilith were doing the necessary things that they had planned. All we have to do is show the ponies, then talk with the Grand Ranger. Simple, right? Or too simple? I don't like it, not one bit. But Lilith gave her word that things would be okay. Should I have him meet inside the house? Or would that be... no, not the house. Outside, sheltered. The gazebo! Perfect! Stardust flew to the gazebo that was just off the property, she had noticed it while she was gathering supplies. This is within the distance that the griffon asked us to be, and it is just far enough away for a private conversation. Also open enough to see if anypony is coming. "I think this will work out just fine." She began to clear away the mess of leaves, twigs, and dust that was covering every inch of the gazebo. "Pray Luna, that this will be quick and painless."

Headmaster Greyhoof simply gave a smile, "Do you think I would want you to teach here without an ice arena?" He chuckled a little bit. "You just let me worry about that, when would you like to start practices? I would assume that you would want to have a sign up and then tryouts. Please let me know when you are ready and the ice arena will be ready for you." Greyhoof turned to go on his way, "Please, if you need anything do not hesitate to ask. You are a fine addition to this school Mr. Dangles." He left the room and headed down the corridor. Attention all students! There was an announcement that came over the campus. I do apologize, the bell must have malfunctioned, but the time has come to end all classes and make your way to the dining hall. We will be enjoying a marvelous dinner prepared by our wonderful cooks. Please make your way there now. Thank you, that is all. The speakers went silent and then there was the wonderful noise of brilliant students making their ways through the corridors and into the dining hall.

Okay! I have the schedule! This day is going to be concluded soon as I finish this post. We will all go to a quick dinner where there will be a quick announcement by Headmaster Greyhoof. Then the students and the staff will retire to their sleeping quarters. Please make the posts quick and to the point for this, say your goodbyes to your friends and part ways so we can begin fresh for the next day. Okay, so there are 6 classes, I want there to only be three classes a day. So it will look like this. Breakfast Ancient Artifacts class with Professor Turner Defense class with Emerald Bolt Lunch Magic with Professor Mirror Dinner The next day will look like this. Breakfast Mystical Creatures with Professor Autumn English/Literature with Professor Dangles Lunch Medical Studies with Professor Feeder and his helper Madness Dinner The days will alternate between these classes. I would like it if all the professors could agree to this, or if they have any concerns please bring them to my attention. @@Guirdann, @, @@Script Dangles, @@reader8363, If you all could please let me know if this works for you. Also, I know that some of us play more than one character, it is getting a bit confusing when they are interacting with another character that you might play. Please try to keep them separated. An example would be for reader8363, if you are going to have madness do all of the gross stuff in the medical classroom then I would like it if Feeder wouldn't be there as well. Have Feeder excuse himself so that there is only one pony at a time. I know that there will be times when this is unavoidable but let's all do our best to keep our characters separated. Let me know if there are any questions or concerns. ​Thank you all for being so patient with me!

Okay! I am back! I have been catching up on the RP and it seems to me that you all are still in the medical studies class. I am going to make a post for us to move onto dinner. Also, we must keep our time in each classroom the same. There was too much time spent in the medical studies class. I feel like that part is my fault. I was the one keeping the RP moving forward with the announcements and such. I am going to look over some things and make a schedule. Please be patient with me. Please do not post again in the RP until I have this completed. It should only take a few minutes. Also, we do have a new member to our team. A new student @@Terra woodsland, If you could Terra please let me know which house you would like to be in, Alicorn, Crystal, Changling.

That is totally fine, as long as you are comfortable playing that many characters.

You guys look like you are doing so well! I am so happy that things are still going on. I am going to catch up hopefully tonight after I finish my project for school. I miss you all and I will be able to be on a bit more these days. I have just had a lot to deal with, between family and school I have been having a crazy time. But I only have two weeks left before Christmas break so the work load is a bit lighter. <3

Hey all, I am really sorry that I haven't been replying. I have been dealing with a lot of family stuff, and it's been a bit stressful. Haven't really had much time to be online the last few days. I will post soon as possible. Please feel free to continue onto the dinner/next day/other classes etc. I am really sorry once again.

Stardust looks at things just a little bit differently. From the time she fist met the group she tried to spread the hope that was burning inside her. She will always be the one to try and make others smile and to try and look at things from a different angle so they can see the good in life. She still has her own struggles but she tries to have faith in others no matter what they have done. Just like I had said about Lilith, she was nervous after the boat but seeing her in a different light she is beginning to have faith in her. Same as with all of the other ponies.

Stardust didn't know how to react. Everyone was so very sad. They mourned the loss of their friend and she understood that feeling all too well. She understood that losing the one that you truly care about is something that you wish you could take back, you wish you could take their place, you wish that you could take all that pain away. Stardust wasn't crying, she wasn't deeply hurt, she wasn't sorrowful because of Trivy. She hardly knew the pony, but from what she did know of her, and what she saw of her for that short time she saw a pony of action. She saw a pony of honor, of passion, of kindness, honesty, loyalty, generosity, and laughter. She looked to each of the ponies and the griffon that was around the shallow grave. She took a second to look at the generous Harcourt, who took the time to care for Trivy, and pushed and pulled her until she finally gave in and let her walls down. She looked to Psych, who's kindness was overflowing. He opened up his heart so much that even though he knew her for only a short time he felt so strongly for her. She looked to the beautiful Aria, who has always been by her side. Through so much and through every silly idea that Stardust threw her way. Stardust knew that Aria didn't want to help this group of ponies, she just wanted to stay in their little home and keep out of sight. But Trivy knew that wherever Star went, Aria would be right by her side. She saw what Stardust always saw and continues to see in Aria, her continued loyalty shining onto the others of the group just as much as it was shining on Stardust. She looked to Lilith, she knew that this mare is one of a kind. She could see the struggle that she was going through internally. She also saw how Harcourt looked at her. There was something different about her from the time that Stardust met her outside her observatory from when they got on the boat and when they got to the Griffon kingdom. She was of little words, but she felt that those words were honest. Stardust's wall of mistrust was slowly beginning to lower because of the honesty that she was showing. Only a pony who wished to truly change and be a part of this group would be willing to be so honest. It might not be something that everypony wants to hear, but it is the truth. Then it clicked. Stardust finally realized why they were all here. She stood and walked to the front of the grave. "Trivy knew who we all were before we did. She knew we would be here, together, working for her, doing what she always wanted to do. She saw the Generosity in you Harcourt, she saw the Kindness of you Psych, she saw the Honesty in you Lilith, and Aria, she saw your Loyalty. She knew before anypony else that we were meant to be on this quest. She knew from the very beginning, and she could see it in us." She looked to each pony, she desperately wanted them to listen closely to this next part. "We must not mourn her, but instead, come together for her. We need to be the ponies that she saw. We need to see that within ourselves. We need to keep her close so that we can take our tragic stories and make them matter, change our course in life, and look to Trivy's sacrifice as the thing that bonds us together." She looked down into the empty coffin, "Thank you Trivy, for being the one who saw us as who we truly are. You will live on through us, and we will make it to the end so you can finally rest, in peace." She gave a small smile because Stardust held that hope that was burning inside her heart, she held that hope for possibly one day being reunited with her father, and held onto the hope that when it finally happened that it would be in the days after Sombra was no more.

Oh. My. Gosh! Yes! All of the yes! Aria playing her wonderful guitar will be brilliant!

I feel like I should wait to post until everything is said and done. I don't want to interrupt all of the feels! lol And I really don't need to do much until the morning anyway.

Yes, P.E. does stand for Physical Education, like a gym class. and yes, the first years should be in the medical studies class by now.

"Excuse me, but shouldn't you all get to class?" She raised her brow as she glanced at the group. She noticed a new pony among them, she wasn't quite sure if she were a fourth year or a very young professor. She was a bit different from the other pegasi that she has come across. "Miss, if you could please wait." She motioned to the strange pony. She tilted her head ever so slightly to try and get a better angle of her. "I don't mean to be rude, I... I just have never seen a pony like yourself. I have seen many creatures, but you are the first that I have seen with almost web like fuzzy wings and your ears, a bit more... rugged." She began circling Emerald as she inspected her. "Please, don't take offence, I am the mystical creatures teacher, and I would love to get to know you. I am usually the one that gets all of the stairs seeing as not many ponies have seen a reindeer." Autumn straightened herself and with her outstretched hoof she welcomed the new pony, "I am Autumn, professor of the mystical creatures, what is your name?" @@Script Dangles, Greyhoof was a bit concerned after the whole incident with the scorpion attacking Mr. Dangles' classroom. He had been on his way when he ran into that rambunctious new defense teacher. He shook his head and cracked a smile, Oh the youth, he thought. He finally made it back to Professor Dangles classroom and quietly knocked before entering the room. "Professor, I am pleased to see you are still here, I had hoped to speak to you before dinner." He motioned for the professor to take his seat behind his desk, and he made his way to the front of the room. "Please don't feel too angry at old Shadow, he means well and he does get a bit lonely. You see, that creature is his pet, normally he keeps it out of sight but for some reason it got out today. The creature was just scared is all, but I did talk with Shadow to make sure that this type of thing doesn't happen again." He bucked up a bit, "Anyway, on a different note, we haven't really had a chance to talk since you arrived, is there anything that you would like to discuss, how was your first day of class?"

There was no answer. Headmaster Greyhoof was walking the corridors. "Miss Bolt!" Professor Greyhoof had heard some of the screams of the students and went to investigate, figuring it might be another pet of Shadow's. When in reality it was the professor of Deference class. "Do come down from there and present yourself appropriately. That might have been acceptable where you used to have employment, but at this University it is not. Now, please walk with me and I will show you to your living quarters." Greyhoof turned and started to walk down the corridor towards the Changling house. "I do not mean to come off as a Harshwinny but that type of behavior, especially from a Professor is strictly forbidden. When Nightmare Night rolls around, be free to scare the daylights out of the students, but today and every other day, please be professional. I will introduce you to the students today at dinner, during that time you will give an apology to those students that you frightened, please explain that it was a long trip, and you just wanted to have a little bit of fun." They reached the door that was just a few feet away from the door of the Changling house. "This will be your living quarters. I do hope that you will find everything that you need, and please come to me if you have any questions or concerns. I look forward to speaking with you further as the school years proceeds." And with that, Greyhoof bid Professor Bolt farewell and made his way.

@@Randimaxis As much as Stardust wanted to just run and hide, she stood strong. Somehow her hooves were planted in the dirt and her stance was powerful for a small pony. She leaned in to meet the griffon, she lifted her hoof and she could feel the tension as all eyes were on her and the ranger. "I accept these conditions." She held her hoof in the air offering it for a hoof shake. After all was said and done she turned around and nearly collapsed on the ground. Her nerves were shot, and she had to do it all again tomorrow?! "How does anypony do this kind of stuff?!" She looked to Lilith, "Can you promise that this is not an ambush?" She looked to Harcourt, "Thank you, for what you said. If you could, please address the others as to what will be happening, and please make sure Winter knows what is going on so she and her aunt are not surprised or in danger when they arrive. I think I'm going to lay here for a bit and then find an area in which this Grand Ranger can meet with the group individually." With that she nestled on the ground and thought back to the heated conversation and she could just imagine how she looked trying to act 'tough'. She started to giggle at the sight she must have caused. My little Star, you act so tough, but I know you are my little apple tart, crisp on the outside, but warm and soft on the inside. You can never be tough for long. You always make me laugh and smile, my little Star. The words of her father seemed to be creeping up more and more. It brought mixed emotions when they came, those happy memories, yet pain for the unknown.

I'm sorry that I may have turned the way of the story. It's just that is how my ponysona would have reacted. Idk, I can always edit my posts if necessary. I just didn't really know where things were going. I just posted what I was thinking and what I have witnessed up to this point. Please, let me know if I ever go out of bounds.

After that post, I feel exactly how Stardust feels! I have a goofy grin on my face lol.

Fantastic, I will be putting a final schedule together once every Professor gets a chance to figure out when they would like to have their classes. @@Randimaxis Even with all the adrenaline pulsing through her body she made sure to keep a stiff upper lip. She was not going to back down, she felt like she was cornered again and this was not acceptable, she remembered when the guards took her and she started to feel this way, it wasn't long before she blacked out and woke up in her home. She tried to calm herself by taking a few deep breaths she didn't want to be too worked up and pass out right after she made it almost crystal clear that she was trying to run the show. She was sure glad that Harcourt was playing along, with him holding the element she didn't want anything to happen to him. Who knows when the next pony will come along that would be worthy. "Sir, I have to respectfully decline that offer. I do not feel comfortable leaving these ponies alone, the group that is here to protect them is the same group that you speak of. They cannot all leave at the same time, and even if they left in groups the amount of time that would take seems to be more than I am willing to spend." She looked to Harcourt and her gaze went from him to inside the cottage at Aria as she was still by the window. Back to the griffon. "I propose that your Grand Ranger comes to us if he must speak with us. We do not need to speak with him, it seems that he is the one who wishes to speak to us, and that needs to be on our terms, not his. If he does this, we can align the ponies that are here in a line for you to count as you come back with this Grand Ranger. You will be able to see them from like you said 200 yards away, then we can place them back in safety. Once you and the Grand Ranger arrive the five ponies that he would like to speak with will meet him, and then we can go from there." She took a few steps towards him and prepared herself. "That is my offer." Stardust felt invigorated, she has never spoken with such power before, she almost felt like she was glowing. She was courageous, and she almost felt giddy about the whole thing. She wanted to just bust up laughing to ease the tension, but she knew that might not be the greatest thing at the moment. Her body was almost vibrating with a mixture of the giggles, stress, adrenaline and pure shock that the words she spoke were actually coming out of HER mouth.
