Strike sighed and nodded.
"I accept your apology, it's fine. The mud is coming off anyway. The reason why I am so desperate to get off this mud? That in fact is none of your business. Have a good day." Strike answered.
She had spotted a night guard, whom she saw as an elder guard and saluted the guard. She was used to this as normally Senior Officers gave younger Junior Officers like her orders, and she would have thought that he was there to order her. Until she remembered that she was not a night guard, but a day guard, as her golden armor indicated.
"Sir of course. Everything is okay, just a mishap between me and two other ponies. I was....patrolling." Strike replied.
She then went back to her work and continued patrolling, and watching for signs of danger.
As she began to get over the mud. Strike wondered when her shift would be over. Not because she was too complain about her job but because she was feeling a little hot. She took off her helmet and ruffled down her mane to give it some air and she grinned.
"Thank goodness I can take that off without being scolded by the Senior Officers." she thought.
Strike had been in the royal guard for sometime now, and she had ranked to quite a high rank within the ranks for a Junior Officer. Of course her prime aim was to become a Senior Officer and be promoted in her job. Her wages were fair and the job, although mostly just standing there and patrolling, was quite interesting for Strike.
Strike was one of the youngest officers of the royal guard and she was still learning. She was on one of her training shifts yet again as the rest from her troop were because recently they had failed a task that they had been given.
She was a ceremonial guard perhaps, had guarded the wedding at Canterlot sometime ago. But she was also a guard in Pony Ville. her home village, as of course it was better to place guards that were local and knew many of the ponies in Pony Ville.
She was still thinking about the night guard. She supposed she had heard his name in one of the training drills that she had been through when the night guards had done a drill with the day guards.
"Hmm........Starglider right?....." she thought to herself.
Then she remembered.
"Nope. It was Stargazer." she said to herself and smiled.
Stargazer was the name. Strike could see the night guard still roaming around on his patrol and Strike wondered why the guard ahd been placed there. It was the daytime and he was a night guard.
"Is he from Luna's regiment?" Strike asked herself.
She decided to agree that for now, he was part of Princess Luna's regiment. After all he certainly looked like one of her royal guard officers.
"Yeah.... he's a batpony..." Strike said observing the guard in the distance.
With that she had approached Stargazer.
"Sir. Can I ask why you are here? I was ordered and assigned here because we heard that there were some nearby disturbances, so rather than my regular job back at guarding the castle, I am here. But a night guard? Surely sir. Did Princess Luna send you?" Strike asked curiously.
