I have no idea how to even give an award.
Under here, there are awards that say "New Award" - click that, enter a user's name and send it their way.

Family Matters is simply a bad example. If Spike were older in his first appearance then the audience could accept it better. Sparity is old and worn and needs to die next season. Smolder is closer to Spikes age. That’s a worthy ship.
The thing that I like about it is that it's entirely one-sided. Rarity knows Spike has feelings for her {as does the rest of Equestria, by the looks of it - is it just me, or would a Spike fanclub in Crystal Empire trying to make that ship come true make a hilarious story?}, and Spike knows she knows but he seems happy being around her by itself. Come to think of it, I don't think I can actually remember a situation where he expressed a desire, let alone expectation that she did return his feelings. So, while that romance will likely forever be unreciprocated, it's neither exploitative nor harmful, so until and if someone else comes along to capture his affections... eh, let it be.

I built it around five years ago, and it's chugging along merrily. More or less, anyway - one of the fans on my graphics card died, I have to leave the case open because a falling fan dented the top, but it's still working fine.

@JedishyWell, my plan, initially, at least, was for Sweet Comfort to introduce/attach herself to the outgoing party. Not sure how to do that yet, or have an alternate avenue of involving her.

Wow, nifty! Thanks heaps, @Jeric! Glad it wasn't a pain to do, either!

I'm not sure if this has been mentioned or attempted before, but here goes.
Right now, awards seem to be a wasted resource. They are visible, but only if one goes looking for them, whether it's their owner themselves, or anybody else. They also, as a rule, look rather good - things that, all things considered, would actually look rather pleasing on display.
Would it be possible, or at least worthwhile, to add an option for users to, instead of their post rank {or special one, for that matter}, use one of their award icons? I think it would add a greater degree of self-expression, encourage users to participate in events that badges are given out for and, generally, make threads look a little bit prettier.

Goooooonnnnnna be honest, I had my share of doubts whether what you've been talking up so much even existed, let alone could be nearly as good as you've been making it sound like.
But I am virtually, if not literally speechless. This is outright amazing. The pacing, the animation, the scenography {is that a word that exists in English?}... I'm legitimately awestruck.
Congratulations. However this goes, I think you're about to create a legend.

Hey there! Welcome, or welcome back or... something? I don't think we've ever met, but you seem pretty cool, so yay!
For your re-welcome question... what do you think is the cutest key on your keyboard?

Thanks! One day I'll remember not to make rushed threads five minutes before work.

Quick question, which episode is the marathon at now?

Is this some kind of elaborate prank to get people to waste their time looking for a survey that doesn't exist or something?
What? No!
It's not that elaborate.
Jokes aside, tho, it is about an actual thing. I edited the OP with a bit more info.

Can't you just link the survey? That way there could actually be some kind of discussion here.
It's, uh, one of those "you'll know it when you see it, but it's hard not to give stuff away" kind of things?

Okay, it is just hard for the community to discuss something (or staff to even moderate discussion) when no one knows what it is. You want me to lock this until whatever you are talking about becomes public knowledge?
Naw, it's good.

Are you by any chance referring to this? Link
Nope, different survey program. Don't worry about it - I'm sure you'll hear about it soon enough.

"Ten points for me, eight points for you. "

"Let's go for five tosses?"

First off, if you don't know which survey I'm referring to, you should probably skip this thread for now to avoid bias. Seriously. Just go away and come back afterward.
Edit: I guess the survey might be of interest to some who aren't aware of it yet. So, I'll provide a link to it, but there's, well, not really a condition, just a piece of advice. Only download the survey if you have the answer to the question in the spoiler below. What the answer is doesn't matter - only if you have one. If you do have it, the link will be in the spoiler below that. If you don't, really, just skip it. I'm being sincere.
SpoilerSpoilerSo, this is interesting. I honestly aren't sure what to make of it - whether what it implies or what it's leading towards. What are your thoughts or theories?

Now I'm wondering... if I read a fic of mine relating to our blue princess tonight, would anyone be interested?

{brings a full pan of homemade baklava and sets it down}
I can definitely cede one of these demands - sugar, honey and walnuts never hurt. The other one... well, it is a possibility. Thing is, why should supporting your reign be a preferable action? Celestia has maintained general peace, safety and prosperity for a while now, with Luna, Twilight and Cadence doing at the very least acceptable jobs of their own. Thus, my question to you, and deciding factor of my fealty is this - what are they failing in that you would be able to succeed?

Old games you want to see get fixed
in Media Discussion
Alpha Centauri is my biggest one. It has a charm and immersiveness, and the speculative fiction aspect of the game as opposed to Civilization's retreading of the same old path holds a lot more appeal to me. The game is moddable, to a degree, but the engine limitations and the inflexible AI kinda mess with the experience.
