I'm in a good mood. This is highly suspicious.

I'm pondering making a writing resource/OC adoption thread where I'd put all those character ideas I keep having for people to use as story or RP NPC's, or even adopt as OC's. Not sure how popular or even useful that would be though...

I'm thinking... Perhaps it's time to finally give the pony a rest. I was hoping to watch it till it ends but, there is no end in sight. And I just don't feel so interested in the show proper like I used to. Eh, we'll see, I suppose.

Yeah, they do. I remember when you ran rps, quite different than how I run rps or how others I have roleplayed with ran rps.

mh, because I cut down the rule of cool in favour of strictly sticking to what is feasible for a character who is basiically an average cirtizen. True, I made an action adventure character later on but she was still no Rambo. And I like it that way, gives them space to grow as they overcome obstacles with actual effort. Because for me, it's more about psychological aspects and character development than monster hunting or stuff like that.
Still, no harm if someone likes monster hunting, it's just how I roll.

Usually what I focus on is just interactions between characters and development.

I'm trying to come up with a manestyle for my new character design, sort of a ponysona mascot for artwork and such. Crystal pony, mare, maybe longer back and some side swept front that's not a nightmare to draw. Still, my initial sketches look like Octavia after some mane styling experiments at best...

I've decided to close my request shop, in order to focus on drawing whatever I wish rather than keep working only on ponies. Drawing characters may not be my favourite thing, after all. Still, the already agreed on requests will be completed and you may reach out on PM for stuff.

If I never hear "Black Friday" ever again, it will be too soon.
-
In other news - honestly the last piece for today - due to taking a short break from drawing, whatever skills I've aquired went to Hell. Wherever that is, but I digress. Learning your hand to do stuff anew is so not fun. But then, maaaybe I'll come up with a better style than last time?

It appears that my request shop has gained 2 new features, namely ink wash shading and... experimental no-refunds anthro drawings, because they will probably suck at first.
-
It appears that my request shop has... reopened. Feel free to get some free art if you wish.

It's finally Friday evening, time to do some art stuff, listen to some proper rock and watch some videos if people inking on YT.

Judging from my job interviews from today, I think I'm not really cut to be an employee in a worldwide corporation. I know it's good money there but, the atmosphere is just... not really for me. Thankfully I already have a job so I can afford being picky like that.

Just a little something for Independence Day:
Art critique: my first try of bipedal pose, and with a new crowquill nib. Done rather loosely and quickly.
-
Just a quick ink of my OC Natural Order. Not my best work but, you know, practice and so on.
-
Just a quick practice sketch, done with a Micron 005 pen in around 20 minutes or so. Comeplete with obvious errors and such.

Just came back from the concert. Dead tired but happy I went.
-
Just came up with an idea to, hopefully, improve my ink drawings. But I need to finish the pending requests first...
-
Just finished binge watching Aggretsuki - a funny Japaneese cartoon miniseries about... life in a corporation, I guess. Seeing the archetypes of people who work in ehese places, and in a crooked mirror too, makes for an entertaining, and also sad-but-true picture.

Just something I drew last evening. All in all, I am not satisfied wih how it turned out, obviously, but I guess I finally am coming to the inevitable conclusion that you can't make quality stuff when thinking about costs so much - graphite for texture and shading allows to work on copy paper, and is overall cheaper than ink wash, while the results are... equally cheap.

Last day at work. I know I shouldn't hold my breath for anything other than a cold shrug and leading me out after I give back my card but, somehow I still hope someone will at least say they'll be missing me or something...
-
Last evening I've sent a work application, and they called this morning to invite me for a chat. What a nice professional confidence boost I daresay. At least the market knows I'm worth my pay, even if my current management fails to show that.

Lately, I've been thinking about getting back to roleplaying in here, even though, I don't have any solid ideas on the setting and overall genres I could re-engage into. Still, I would probably custom make any OC's for these selected rps rather than try and stuff in a pre-made one so, the flexibility is there.

Looking at other people's art, especially some really cool stuff like from Yavkolev-Vad, just to name one artist I really like, has a side effect - the blank sheet of paper starts to look really intimidating, you know. Knowing that my stuff will not turn out "good enough" for my heightened sense of whatever that means...
-
Maybe instead of trying bigger and bolder things in my drawings, I should concentrate on doing the simpler and boring stuff instead, at least till I get actually good at them. I feel like I'm taking too complicated tasks again...

Mondays...

My company was hacked early in the morning today, so I spent 2 hours waiting for the green light from IT to actually start working. Thankfully the damage is not crippling and they found the entry point so, it wasn't a total disaster for once.
