    Why people find it interesting to ship the gender-bent version of a character with that same character. I find it strange and disturbing.

    I think that serious relationships should be left until you're out of high school. Too many people I know have been made miserable by immature choices and mistakes.

    Thank you! REally, most of my characters, pony or not, end up as experimental situations between two radically different personalities :3

    I for one find hypothetical situations very interesting- so that probably contributes, and I also think shipping is a way to make canon characters more our own, since in every shipping the writer has to make assumptions about or alter the canon character(s).
