It seems as if most new artists have a tough time with feedback and criticism, but they usually either quit or grow to handle it correctly. I've grown out of it too. Negative feedback is always tough to take, but as long as you find what they meant outside of the hatred, all shall be good. I have trouble with it too, but I usually just ignore them.

I've been drawing my whole life, but never really got any good at it. I still draw for fun though, and I actually improved significantly taking other peoples advice! I recently got a tablet, and had been too busy with school to use it, but I need some motivation to try it again! It wasn't cheap so I want to get some use out of it

I'm glad to hear you take other people's advice! As long as you're practicing, you're always improving. I only started drawing about 2 years ago, but I'm glad to have made it to where I am today. As I tell everyone, creativity and motivation seems likely to act as a spectrum. A person may flow with ideas one day, then just get the motivation to do stuff the next.
