I 100% agree with those two episodes, but "Dragon Dropped" tried to give those characters closure, and its poll here actually seems more positive than the one for "Growing Up is Hard to Do." Not sure if that actually represents anything, but it seems to fit the vibe I get from this forum. 

@Lambdadelta People definitely think that about this show, which confuses me a little because it's wildly inconsistent and mostly tells self-contained stories. 

If you try to give closure to a show that didn't need it, you get an ending that has nothing to do with what the show was about. Or, in this case, a show about friendship ending with a story about who will rule the country.

The problem with Dragon Dropped is that it handles a major arc offscreen, and the character that is supposed to get over gets over it offscreen. Instead, for some asinine reason it's Rarity that has to get over it
