Okay, so this is a follow-up to my previous post. ^w^ ...and yes, the following contains spoilers for pokemon scarlet and violet. I've put it under a spoiler tag for those of you who dont wanna see it until the games come out on the 18th
SpoilerA dear friend of mine sent me this not too long ago, and these are the stats for the starters.
...and this has only made my decision even more difficult.
if you take a look at the stats, objectively speaking, skeledirge is the worst out of three, and Meowscarada is the best, but that was to be expected based on all of the leaks / rumours.
they did say fuecoco's final evolution was gonna be slow and I had a feeling Meowscarada was gonna be a glass cannon (110 in attack and 123 in speed. the rest is...pretty average). so, we have official confirmation that its hidden ability is Protean. yep, no big surprise. when they said it was gonna get an OP hidden ability, I knew it was gonna be Protean / Libero.
what I did not expect was fuecoco's hidden ability. they said it was gonna get a 'food-based' hidden ability. I was expecting it to be gluttony. nope. its hidden ability is unaware, which is A LOT better than what I expected. it ignores stat boosts, which is...okay, I guess. not as good as the other two, if you want my honest opinion.
...and Quaquaval gets Moxie. I have a Krookodile with Moxie and it is and absolute BEAST. every-time it knocks out a pokemon, it gets a + 1 in attack. it's a really good hidden ability. if ya compare it to meowscarda, it's pretty much the same. the only difference is that it's slower, and it has slightly more attack. that's it. it's the most 'well-rounded' of the three.
when I select a starter, I wanna pick the one that is the most...interesting / unique, and one that I know that I'm gonna have a lot of fun with. me personally, I'd rather have a glass cannon than a pokemon that looks good but is slow. (cuz you leave yourself wide open for your opponent to set up right in front of you) that's why I like Salamence more than Tyranitar. So, you're probably wondering: which starter am I gonna pick? I dunno. it is between sprigatito and fuecoco.
I havent decided which starter I'm gonna pick. I'm gonna wait and see what moves they learn before I make a final decision. that should pop up the day before the games come out on the 18th.

Skeledirge kinda looks like he should be a digimon lolz but yo, ghost typing again for a starter that's cool, only other one we had from that break was Rowlett to Decidueye, and I think Meowcarda literally is wayyy to humanoid at least Im that picture lol,
I'm trying to take terra typing into account and it kind of seems like you may have a bigger edge doing with with a ghost Pokemon, but they haven't leaked the moves they can learn just yet...

@Uncle Bumper yeah, I was kinda expecting it to evolve into one of the big cats (tiger, panther, etc.), but...it is what it is. me personally? I dont mind the looks of it. I just wish it was a little bit more...edgy in its design.
ohh, when serebii updates their site, I'll make another post bout what moves they learn, and that will ultimately decide which starter I'm gonna pick for scarlet and violet

I think most people are going with Fuecoco which is another reason to strongly consider Quaxly, Im not to crazy about any of the three designs to be honest, but I'm gonna have to relate to what I presume to be the fancy footwork of Quaquaval he seems the most intriguing to me on his face... They threw me for a loop with the typings not what I was expecting this time around
