    Ramblings and stuffs
I was hoping there was gonna be a topic or something, but seeing as there's not  (at least there wasn't at the time I started writing) I can't help but dust off my old blog that's had MORE than a half-decade's worth of dust built up, and commemorate the big day since this place means a lot to me.
How funny is it that, the entire generation of MLP this place was dedicated to transitions to the new one, just a few days before this place turned 10, huh.
I became an avid fan of colorful horses the very day I watched the first two episodes, on April 5, 2012, and very rapidly I scavenged the internet for places to get more pony, for art, memes, news, etc, and most of those kept me going through the few years I was big into horses. As memory serves, having liked the idea of forums and using one a lot at the time, I looked up something akin to "mlp forum" on Google to see if there is one. Lo and behold, this one showed up, and was quite hefty in content even at the time. The interface was very clean and inviting, and already I was thinking of posts I wanted to make in different categories. Some days later, on the 24th, I finally joined this place, not very long after it was made relative to now. This was the site layout (the screencap is of January 2013 but it was still really similar; the previous versions of the site around then are broken on the Wayback Machine)...

...and this was the banner at the time. (I'll post the other ones I've collected over the years at the foot of this post.)

And gosh, was I ever active here, my "active" time was from April 2012, to late '13, early '14 I guess, the earlier years mostly on my iPad that I was pretty obsessed with at the time haha. I can't see how many topics or replies I made but, I have at least 100 pages of worth on it according to my profile, so that's wacky! I've retained a lot of good early memories here, such as requesting a signature of my 3 favorite bg ponies (Berry, Lyra, Colgate), having a "Ask Lyra" thread, participating in the weekly movie nights on Equestria TV and being a part of the Poniverse crew at the first BronyCon I went to, roleplaying a little, having fun with nicknames, making my first ponysona (and first animal persona thing period), making blogs, enjoying the funny unique emotes, discussing all things horse (about the show, EQG etc. and other stuff), and most importantly making lots of friends, getting to know em a lot better on Skype (and was introducing to messaging stuff in general from the process), and getting to meet a lot of said friends in person at BronyCon in 2013, which was my first convention ever, and to a smaller extent going to see EQG2 in the theater with a particularly cool one, haha.
I could fill a small a novel with all the ways pony has made my life so much better, all the things I've done, all the friends I made, and all the things it introduced me to (learning about my sexuality, going to conventions and travelling to see friends, vectoring and lots of things about graphic design, learning about fandom stuff in general, etc.), and all the things I loved from the show itself, but an entire chapter or two would definitely be dedicated to this place, probably the biggest in terms of any websites (among them the likes of EQD, tumblr, the pony Memebase site, etc.). I fell out of following pony stuff around 2015-2019, but I made sure to come back for the last season, and this place was one of many things that helped bookend my first and last experiences as a fan of the series for me, and even beyond a little.  I hope all the wonderful peeps I interacted with back then are doing well now, and maybe come back to post some reminiscing stuff as well. And I hope this place continues to thrive as long as pony does! Happy big 10, MLPF!!!
    -----------------
Now, here's a collection of all the MLPF banners I've saved over the years (cause I always liked 'em), including the BronyCon 2013 one where M.A. Larson photobombed our group without us knowing until the picture was taken! I still remember our graphic designer mod changing the banner to that right on the spot, I'll never forget that moment. There's many more you could find by going to a random iteration of the site on the Wayback Machine as well, the site layout may be broken but the banners are still there.
One very last thing I'll leave y'all off with, before I start getting nostalgic and diving back in to my whole post history and wanting to post a bunch more of that in here, is this little thing from 2012 that's scarily, extremely relevant right now.

Well...it's been one hell of a time. And I've enjoyed every part of it. But unfortunately, all good things must come to an end. And, sadly, this is the end of my time as a member of Poniverse Staff. I hereby announce my resignation.

My time on MLP Forums and Poniverse staff has been a wonderful adventure. I joined nearly after I became a part of this wonderful fandom. And since then, I have spent quite a lot of time here, making numerous posts daily. Lately, though, my interest in the show and fandom has decreased, and so has my activity here. I eventually became a part of the forum staff, now-Poniverse staff team- firstly as a member of Equestria.TV, then the newsletter, and then the Design Team- but unfortunately, I fell upon the same fate there as well.

My activity began depleting in each of those fields. Eventually, it came upon me that I should leave before my lack of activity starts to hurt the progress of Poniverse. It was a heavy weight to let go, with all the wonderful memories and friends I've gained form the forums and staff team. BronyCon 2013 would not have been the life-changing experience it was had it not been for Poniverse's appearance. I got into forum roleplaying on here. I learned a lot, discussed about the show and fandom with a lot of great people, and made a lot of friends, for some I can consider some of my best. And the important thing is to always keep the good times in memory, to have something good to look back on in the future. But that is for then, this is now. Right now, I have to move on. I delayed this for quite a bit, but I wanted to do it before it was too late, and to leave on a high note for me, and for Poniverse. My motivation for working was not showing any signs of returning any time soon.

I sincerely apologize to the people I worked with that were inconvenienced from my lack of participation. I give Poniverse my best wishes, hoping it progresses well in the future. As for here, the forums, I won't be around much, as I haven't really been so since early 2013. This place holds a lot of memories for me, though, and I will undoubtedly come back in the future. But now, though, not being a part of the Poniverse network anymore, my visits here will most likely be less. My interests have simply shifted, and that's the way things work, unfortunately. Again, I wish for the best for my Poniverse friends. I am sad to go, but I unfortunately couldn't have stayed much longer. I thank Feld0, the forums, and the amazing people who have made this a wonderful experience for me. Those who were with me from the start, those who are newer now and don't really recognize me or haven't gotten that much time to know me. I love you all.

    It was a blast.

In NASCAR, the checkered flag is waved when the leading driver completes the final lap of the race, signifying the conclusion of the event.
It's time to wave the checkered flag in my life as a NASCAR fan.

    ---

As a lot of you probably knew before I changed my name, the sport has had a glorious effect on my life for a long time - but I personally think it's time to put that enthusiasm to rest, because lately I have not really been living up to my old name. While I may still enjoy things related to NASCAR, I don't follow it at all anymore, well, very little (I don't watch the races live anymore though), it's just not as 'there' as it used to be. Let me just tell the tale of how it came to be.

I was born on June 21st, 1996 in Fairfax, Virginia. From then there have been many complex controversies involving which family member owned me among other things. I was finally chosen to live with my grandpa in a my Vienna home on September 1, 2000, and it's where I currently live now. Some time around then, I had returned from visiting one of my relatives in Florida, and during my time there, I had experienced some sort of traumatic event of which I do not remember. It made me fall into a psychologically erratic state that shocked my guardians. I wouldn't recognize my stuffed animals things from my room and around the house, I wouldn't play with any of my toys. I apparently spent most of my time cowering under the covers. I was mentally scarred, really. To help calm me, my grandpa let me play games on his Windows 98 computer. One game that he already then had was an NHL (American professional ice hockey league) game from 1999. I played it rather often, and to this day, is rather heavenly nostalgic to me when I play it. The same can be said for another game a NASCAR game from the same company and year. Since I then had a particular interest in cars, he had bought me that one in addition.

Over time, I played them very often and I was eventually brought back to a normal mental state. If it weren't for those games, I probably wouldn't have felt better that soon, and it helped, especially considering that was my first year of school. I owe a lot of my enjoyment in life to those two games. I particularly liked the aethsthetics of those games, I have an emotional connection to the teams, players, logos, cars, music, etc. from those old games, and I came to experience those two sports even more for years to come.

Back to NASCAR. Ever since I played that game, I was really interested. But, now I look back and realize I haven't given it the attention it deserved from me. I did go on to buy tons of NASCAR-related merchandise, including more games, over the years. A lot of the old NASCAR games, especially the ones from the early-mid 2000's are really nostalgic to me, and I recognize all the specific cars that were in them, the tracks, the graphics, the controls; everything. But, I never actually saw a race. For whatever reason, growing up I never saw any NASCAR race, not in person nor on TV. I don't know why I never did; I guess I never thought about it. I never actually followed the actual sport until 2009. I did go to the NASCAR Hall of Fame in Charlotte, NC, in 2010 (the year it launched) and 2011, but even then I hadn't gone there since; and now I even realize I've enjoyed certain things more than that.

In summer of 2009, I went to Pittsburgh, PA, to see a race that consisted of old 1930's race cars. For whatever reason, they brought one of the NASCAR race cars to the park to put on display; I wasn't expecting it and was really shocked. It was the first actual race car from the sport I saw in person, and it was just amazing. And soon after that, I actually started watching the races every week, including the small stuff they had during the week.

This continued into early this year. Out of the blue, NASCAR had for some reason started to become a less important factor in my life. I started watching the races a lot less, more interests started taking over my free time, like internet, ponies and hockey (which had sparked in my interests late last year). I have no explanation for this but I have to move on.

Identities...they're the best way to instantly recognize a person. My old name, NASCARFAN160. A huge portion of internet aliases are based on what one likes to partake in. Some time in the summer of last year, I listened to a podcast interview with someone, and a discussion had been brought up about screen names. I hadn't until then realized a very importan moral: original uninspired names have superiority over names based on occupations. For example, if you had a name, say, MLPFan160, it would most likely imply that said individual enjoys My Little Pony; depending one one's definition for the acronym MLP. Now, say, since then, their interest had been deteriorating from visting multiple pony sites daily and watching multiple episodes monthly, to doing each once per three months, it would not really be worthy to be considered a 'fan' in most terms, and thus the name MLPFan160 would be misleading. To have an original name initially is to avoid this circumstance in the first place. Starting off with the same alias makes everything easier from then on out. And I prefer it to be that way from now on.

From my perspective, 2013 was a big year of change, in both other people, corporations and organizations, three mediums where change is most significant. It's one of the things that urged me to change my name. And I feel like I, too, have changed. This fandom has done incredible indescribable things to me, mostly good things. It almost felt like starting a brand new life. I feel different, new, refreshedl I want to break away from the negatives of the past and experience new beginnings. It's an amazing sensational feeling, comparable to love and nostalgia. I like to live for said feelings, I just want to do good and feel good. And I think that this is the best step to a new life, a new identity.

My other interests and hobbies include internet browsing, ponies and ice hockey; all of which had sparked in the past three years. Sometime I depsier the way I balance my schedule, and even with that having issues lately, I can not refer myself as a person who dedicates the time one devotes to NASCAR that I don't. So I decided an adjustment had to be made, and you now know why. The sport has done so much to my life, and I think it just has all died down too much. But enough of that. Change is good. On to better times!

(As for this particular blog, I probably will just scrap it and start a new one, with not promising activity or anything like that.)

I know a year doesn't seen like much to the brony veterans out there that have been in the fandom, say, since the beginning. But for me, it has been quite a long journey thus far. The show and its fanbase have opened me to countless things that have made my life a lot better. This is just a little recap of my long journey thus far.

(Note: Okay, I haven't been updating this old thing in a while; so I decided to dust it off with this post. Of course, my cursed procrastination prevailed yet again.

Point is, I'm probably not going to update this thing a lot. Depends, but most likely not.)

Up to the point where I watched the show for the first time, I, like countless other human beings, have had their lives influenced by many, many things. In my case, those are sports, video games and automobiles. But last year, I'd end up adding another thing to the list.

By early 2012, I have been an internet addict, using it the majority of my day. Over time I had become more than acquainted with memes. Constantly, looking over image databases on Memebase and Know Your Meme, I'd occasionally run into an image that included ponies. Now, I eventually recognized them, and saw them as one of those "odd internet fads I'd never get into". But that was going to change, obviously.

Eventually, I'd find out that the images came from a viral show called My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic. Of course, my, like other people's initial reactions were something along the lines of "My Little Pony? Popular on the internet? That's weird". And I went through the stages leading up to my failure to resist the urge to not watch it. Pretty much the same old brony conversion story.

For the next few months, I began to see more and more of those mysterious ponies. Then I thought to myself, "Alright, that's enough". I eventually hit up the KYM entry for the show, and, cautiously, read it. I was amazed by the concept, how many people, especially men, could enjoy the show with the MLP label. For whatever reason, I stalked that page for a couple weeks, even though nothing changed. Something in me sparked, I was getting attracted to the essence the show, even from just pictures, gave off. I refused to watch any of it at that point, but that's different.

My friend at school talked to me about the show sometimes, and even urged me to watch it a couple times. He sent me a link with the first episode, and it wasn't until today, one year ago, that I finally watched it. After the episode ended, I had to think and comprehend on what had just happened. I became hooked instantly, and watched all Ponyville Confidential (the latest one at the time).

By then, I already knew there was a big fan support behind the show, and decided to explore the web for other ways I could get my daily dose of pony. My first live episode was MMMystery on the Friendship Express, which I watched on my TV (luckily, I was the only one in the house). Within the next week, I got in to all the popular pony websites, mainly Equestria Daily. It took me a little while to get used to it all; fanfiction, art, role playing, music...but eventually, I was practically opened up to what a full-fledged fandom truly was. See, before that, I had little knowledge of fandoms in general. I mean, I knew there were fan contributions like that out there, I just wasn't as aware as I was when I was exposed to the pony fandom.

The first episode I ever watched on a livestream was A Canterlot Wedding. And I never felt so alive before. Not only because I was still breaking in my new interest for the show, but also for the unspeakable pleasure I got from the fact that I was doing so, with interactions from people all over the world. Something about it (along with that of the show) just made me...happy. And that is when I fully confirmed that I was proud to be a member of the fandom.

Eventually, after wanting to have a pony-themed forum I could post on, I searched "mlp forum" on google. And lo and behold, this place was number one. Of course, I joined on, posted a lot, etc. Not much else to it than that. I have gathered my share of friends from my experience so far on the forums, and couldn't imagine my life as a part of this fandom without it.

Now, a lot has happened since then. I've been more open to sites such as deviantArt and Tumblr. It's opened a new portal for me in life, another way to live it. It had, has, and will always have an unspeakable and undescribable impact on my life. Ever since April 5, 2012, I have thought about ponies at least once every day. And every time I think about this glorious fandom, and how far we've come, I think to myself this:

That this whole fandom is the celebration of freedom of passion, the way that we're all revolutionizing the way the general public sees people like us. It's one big fandom, and I am forever glad to be a part of it's infinitely-sizable mass.

My first whole year as being a part of this fandom has been revolutionary to my life, as was other people's, I presume. I could never go a lifetime without ponies, ever since I discovered them. The infinite power of the essence within something simple as a cartoon show for a children's toy franchise is alone something to talk about for the ages. I'm ecstatic to always see how vastly the fandom improves and grows.

The show, and the fanbase both surprise me to a point where we could change the world in several ways.

    Brony, one year and counting,

Hey guys, this is just another video game review I did for the school newspaper. So...uh...enjoy and stuffs. :3

    ––––––––––––––––––––

    Flower Review

    Year: 2009
    Publisher: Sony Computer Entertainment
    Developer: Thatgamecompany
    Platforms: PS3 (online-exclusive download)

It isn't that often when video games are associated with poetic, clam, relaxing, and moving experiences. Well, with Flower, that's just the case.

In the midst of a generation dominate by extreme, fast-paced, hardcore video games, Flower may seem like a stranger. But once anyone picks up the PlayStation 3 controller and starts this game up, they're instantly transported to a distant, peaceful world.

In Flower, you basically control a flower petal, via the wind. You can move the petal forward in all different directions by tilting and twisting the controller which responds thanks to its gyroscope, a device that can sense where an object is angled in terms of gravity. Any of the buttons pressed will make the wind blow faster.

The level design is magnificent. They all take place in plains, grassy hills, canyons, etc. decorated with gorgeous colors and lovely skies. You start with one petal, then gather a bunch of others to build up a group. As you gather each of the other petals, the ambience of the level turns into a musical sensation. Bell chimes are heard when they're collected, and the background music turns up and becomes more melodious. This is one of the many artistic virtues of this game.

In fact, that's what most of the game is about, a unique experience that delves into an area that video games have done so little times in their long history. The game follows an interesting narrative, the theme is about numerous flowers' and entering their "dreams", which are the levels, as they slowly proceed to the faraway city.

The point of the game is just to encourage us to think about today's typical society, as well as take a good look at the wonders of nature. Later in the story, the many features of the city, such as electrical power lines, begin to be portrayed as an antagonistic character, and the goal of the game is to overcome the industrial and non-natural forces of the city, and spread the wonders of nature.

Through the game, you'll experience moving and beautiful moments that no other form of entertainment can produce. It's some of the best proof out there that video games can indeed be among other art mediums, such as pictures and music. It shows that games as casual as this can mean a lot, in taking players on such a poetic and mystic journey.

Flower is available on the PlayStation 3's PlayStation Store service (online required) for $9.99.

    Rating (out of 10): 9.5

Y'know, a concept such as video games is rarely used in the big-shot film industry. And, as a pure-full time gamer, that depresses me. But earlier around Spring this year, when I first saw the trailer for Wreck-It Ralph, I was instantly hooked. It combined two of my favorite things in the world, the wonderful team at Walt Disney Animation Studios and the immense world of video games. This was one of the best things to happen to me as a video game addict.

I knew that they were the right ones to bear the hands of ownership when it came to this movie. And at first sight, what really catches the eye is the numerous instantly-recognizable cameos of video game characters that any kind of gamer would be able to recognize, from Pac-Man, to Sonic, to Q*Bert, Frogger, Ryu, etc., not to mention other video game pop culture elements, such as the Konami Code. That's one big thing with this movie, Disney went to a lot of video game developers to get permission for all 180-some visual cameos in this film.

Next to that, along with product placement from the likes of Nesquik, Subway and Mentos to name a few, this is one of my favorite aspects solely because it adds unimaginable amounts of authenticity and relativity to the fictitious world to make it seem closer to ours. What's even better is that Disney kept the real world connections irrelevant to the plot and made their own original story and characters, to keep the movie fun and alive. That is what I call pure Disney Magic.

Now, to the relevant part of the review, the plot. For three decades, an arcade has been filled with the hottest games in the world, some based off real-world ones, revealed to be all connected through the Game Central Station, a hub where all characters traverse to other games that is based in a power strip that has cords connected from all the arcade machines.

The oldest game, Fix-It Felix Jr. had had all the attention over the years. It consists of Felix, the protagonist, fixing the building in the game that has been damaged by Ralph, the antagonist of the game, protagonist of the movie. He's been rejected and degraded over the years as a the villain of his game, and he decided that he was tired of it and wanted some good attention, not an infamous label. The character is voiced by John C. Reilly, and is full of energy and excitement. The movie follows him and his mission to fix his wrecked reputation.

Overall, I found absolutely zero notable flaws, just in the humor department. The movie feels like it tries to be funny sometimes, and only a few it just seems like too much. Let it be known though, that that is a very minor letdown, as it's easy to get distracted back into the goodness that is this movie. Other than Ralph, there are tons of original, unique characters with wonderful voice actors and personalities.

There's a couple cliffhangers, and a handful of shocks and surprises, but perhaps most notable is the emotion and darkness the film delves into sometimes. I was never a big crier (which I find pretty suckish, personally), and it nearly jerked a few tears out of me, so that's saying a lot. The soundtrack and score is overall great (one of the games has Skrillex as its theme; I like dubstep personally, though I think it can be iffy all around). The film is produced by John Lasseter, CCO of Walt Disney Animation and Pixar Animation Studios, that was one of the things that hooked me.

In the end, the movie impresses me to an extent that has me agreeing with every single aspect of it; the characters, story, voice actors, emotion, music, humor, and pop culture references. I give it a solid 9.5 out of 10 with the only negative being a few failed attempts at getting a laugh out of the crowd. Other than that, it is simply one of my favorite films of all time.

And not only because of its video game world-based theme, but that it can attract all non-gamers put there. Even if you don't recognize the 9,001 references to video games in the movie, you'll be hooked by its likable characters, emotional theme, and creative plot and script. I recommend it to every single person watching this video. It's a Disney movie, it's a perfect movie.

    >mfw I've been staring at this for longer than I can remember and attempting to comprehend my lack of activity on this forum lately but especially this blog.

Firstly, I cannot even begin to fathom my self-disappointment in the fact that I have, since about September, stopped posting here as often as I used to. This is one of the best things to happen to me on the internet besides ponies themselves, I've become to attached with this community to suffer a loss like this.

But more rather, this blog's lack of liveliness is what saddens me the most. I've planned to and got excited for constant entries, week after week. At the very least, it wasn't a promise I broke, so it could have been worse. Keep in mind, anyone who actually reads this dead blog, that I have not yet forgotten about my initial plans for this blog. I've recently begun to post a little more around here than late, and with this blog entry brings promising boost in activity for the future. And, what with season 3 on the horizon, the inspiration for booming self creativity is right around the corner. Not to mention I recently made these babies, so the possibilities are endless.

On a very light note, I am pleased to have join the moderation team on the forums' official Synchtube room, which will stream episodes of season 3 when they air. And don't forget about the weekly movie nights!

    ~

Anyway, in my long, long an inexcusable hiatus I've dealt with a more-or-less successful first quarter of my sophomore year in high school. Not too hard, not too easy, just about right. I think if I can keep this up, I'll do good enough to forget the living heck that was the final grading period of last year.

Through the past couple of months, I've played games as usual, watched TV as usual, ponied it out as usual, just the usual usualness. Nothing in my life is of worth noting here at the very moment of what my blank 5 in the morning mind can remember, and I'm starting to stumble on my own keyboard, so I think right about now's a good place to stop.

The release of the newest NASCAR video game Election Day is coming up, and not knowing jack about politics, I'm glad I don't have a say in choosing our nation's new leader. All I hope is that we get the best out of the two and cross our fingers that they don't explode everything and burn our moneys.

I'll hope to keep this blog semi-alive for the future, especially in the coming weeks. Don't forget what I said in the first days of this ol' blog, and I hope to fulfill those stuffs one day.

Thank you all, and have a nice day.

What, you forgot about the traditional NASCAR image at the end of each post? Shame!

(Unrelated: My plot aches and my eyes burn from sitting on this chair staring at this computer screen for about 7 hours straight. Now would be a good time to head to bed.)

(Mod note: this is just something I did for the school newspaper, so I decided, why not post it here? So yeah...oh, and I also don't want this blog to die entirely. Aaaand, I just liek my tl;dr stuffs, even though I doubt anyone'll survive halfway...ehhh just read itttt ;-; )

    Sonic Generations Review
James (not gonna tell my last name okiethxbai .3.)

    Year: 2011
    Publisher: Sega
    Developer: Sonic Team
    Platforms: PS3, XBOX 360, PC, 3DS

Since 1991, Sega held up their end in the gaming industry with the ever-successful Sonic the Hedgehog series. The company suffered a major loss when their last console, the Dreamcast, was considered outdated thanks to the newer, better technology from its opponents. Through all the hardships they went through, many of their franchises today have survived and are still making new games, but none of them are as significant as Sonic. As their current flagship franchise, it's only natural they'd eventually make a game that reflects back on the amazing history of the series. Generations does exactly that, and more.

Released in 2011, the series' twentieth anniversary, Sonic Generations is simply a revival and a look-back of the timeline of the long-running video game franchise. At first, the concept may sound cliché, but this game pulls it off like no other. Famous and iconic environments from certain games in the series return with an impressive visual makeover. From the days of the Genesis, to the Dreamcast, to the present, very important chapters in the story of Sonic are picked to be represented in this "showcase" of the things that made the franchise so powerful.

It's good because it's a game that's well-suited for two types of gamers- long-timers who have played Sonic for a very long time who are greeted with sensations of nostalgia and reminiscence with a hint of modern-day graphics and sound. It's equally as good of an experience for those who are new to the series. They can jump right in and learn about the history and heritage of the series.

The gameplay has barely evolved since the beginning. Simple, classic get-to-the-finish platforming action, except with modern gameplay enchantments, i.e. similar to more recent Sonic games. And, as it always is, it's a fun, exhilarating, and exciting experience. The sense of speed is as great as it should be, the graphics are nothing short of outstanding. Heck, I'd say the console versions were pushed to their very limit when it came to visuals. All the details of the classic stage revivals fit right in in a present day video game.

The plot, a little less-looked into area of video games, is a slight bit questionable, but otherwise it's amazing. It's a bit of a space-time continuum skewer, but really, who cares? It's a video game! Anyway, they very cleverly mix the present day Sonic (known as Modern Sonic) with the Sonic (Classic Sonic) in the game, where they have their own versions of the levels. Modern Sonic's levels play pretty much like today's, combining 2D and 3D platforming, while Classic Sonic's levels look the same, but play like the originals, only 2D side-scrolling levels.

Aside from that are optional side missions that you can play to unlock numerous pieces of Sonic heritage. Songs from previous games, developer artwork of older games, those are the main attractions. Also, you can buy upgrades for the individual Sonic's, such as power-ups that make getting through levels easier (in some cases, more fun).

Overall, this is easily one of the best Sonic games of all time. They took the concept of reviving the history of the epic franchise, and they made the most out of it. The game looks great, plays great, and is an absolute must-buy for Sonic fans, old and new. Digging deep, it's really hard to find any negatives about it, only for the few minor gameplay glitches. But really, that's not enough to defeat the awesomeness of this classic.

I just posted an image of Scootaloo repeatedly headpianoing endlessly on loop. That only means one thing. School's around the corner for this guy. Oh, and it's also and excuse to post something so you won't think I'm dead, or anything like that.

Sigh...in any case, I my body must be ready. And, to be honest, even though I did next to nothing over the summer (yes, I went to the exhibit aforementioned in the previous entry, for certain reasons I'm not posting anything about it yet until later this month), I'm starting to think I am.

This Tuesday will mark the beginning of my sophomore high school year, and my 5th year in the school I'm currently going to. I haven't gone to many different schools in my lifetime, it feels just right to stick with one environment and have many recurring friends and teachers you will come to know for a very long time. But anyways, it'll be the first good time I'll experience something like school after my bronification in April, whereas I had such little time to adapt to myself watching ponies and doing general fan stuffs.

Overall, I'll try my best not to let school get too in the way of my online activity, video games etc., as well as making sure vice versa doesn't happen.

So...yeah, that's pretty much it. Just wanted to give y'all the heads for the up-and-coming school year. So, until next entry, see ya~

Darn it, Pinkamena, do you have to obliterate every single thing so forcefully? Now you've gone and broke my new non-warranty 3DS XL. Sigh...it's impossible to slip away from that tricky mare for even a week...

Anyways, I think, with only my second entry, I am starting a mini-recurring series of entries, just dealing with a current review of my life (don't know if it will stick, it will certainly not be daily, but I just want to avoid telling the same boring drag old stuff every time I do something like this), starting with this one. I will try/attempt to be as least boring as possible. (Please don't fail me, brain! .A.) But don't worry, everypony, this kind of thing become boring or long or slow-paced, I have a back up to retain popularity, followers, and brohoofs out the window </3 interesting-ness to keep this blog running!

Alrighty, so, I wouldn't be surprised if I'm one of the only people who aren't in school yet. Well, before you bombard me with your jelly catapults, I'd like to state that it's simply a result of the fact that we get out a lot later than most schools do surrounding our area, mid-June. And boy, that kinda ticked me off when I found that out.

But anyways, back to school. This will be my second, freshman, year in high school, and my fifth year in the school I am going to. Over the years, I've only been enrolled in, count 'em, two academic facilities since preschool. I don't know why, but I've always liked the fact that it's been so limited, staying attached with friends and the school environment really sets a nostalgic block in your head for future reference.

Alright, so let's see...oh, yes. After being stuck with a lousy 40GB Hard Drive on my PlayStation 3 (and I'm a hardcore gamer, so having such little data sucks balls. >.>), I've finally learned that the systems are able to swap out hard drives (which is quite embarrassing on my end, quite frankly, that I learned it just now), thanks to Sony's manufacturing genius. Le upgrade was 40 to 160 gigabytes, a much-welcomed improvement. So, for the next few days, I will be wasting all my money and data on games I could never have, and live happily ever after. That's until our internet gets fried. </3 Like...duuuude...I'm gonna get so high on games, maaaan....

And, to wrap this baby up (not sure how long this will be, don't wanna make it obnoxiously, fanfic-esque length [still, it's like a one-shot, but who cares? .3.), I will announce that I'm going to be going to D.C. Thursday morning/afternoon to go see the Art of Video Games Exhibit at the Smithsonian North American Art Museum (yet the only interesting thing I'll do this summer ;_;....). This'll be one of the best opportunities in my life, video games are one of my hottest-burning passions, and I'd more than love to see this brilliant exhibition specifically about one of the most important parts about them. All of some of the best video games of all time will be displayed for admiration.

So, that's it for now. Look forward to stuff like this in the future. In the meantime, I think I'll soon get started on videos of me playing some games. And believe me, the first one I have in mind will be very, very interesting. ;3

    So stay tuned, y'all.

Oh, and after every entry...well, at least after every entry like this, I will provide one random image of a NASCAR race.

Ah...sunrise at the racetrack. The perfect place and the perfect time for a perfect beginning. Now, lemme take a seat on the grass there as I kick my logic, wit, variable diction, and common sense parts of my brain into high gear, because, hallelujah, I'm finally starting a legit blog.

Sigh...I can only reminisce about the first and only time I was so excited about creating a personal blog. I even knew the basics and everything. All of this stuff came rushing in my head that resulted from general life experiences that would be more than perfect for starting a blog for myself. So, it led me to the head honcho of all blogging websites in my eyes, Blogger.

And you know what happened the instant I created the account? All of my motivation, inspiration, and energy to add on constantly to a what-I-wished-to-be recurring blog?

    *insert flushing noise here*

Yep. It all just disappeared. I don't know why it happened, but it did. And I instantly went to delete the account, vowing to never get my hopes up in such a situation ever again. It was a mistake well experienced, and a lesson well learned. With the launch of a blog application on these forums, I have gained a similar hype, but I will start a new life in blogging with a cautious hope.

But, said hope isn't there all by itself. With the general friendliness and welcoming feels of the community, I'm encouraged to do everything more. So. With this new popular blog application, I will try to do my part in taking advantage of it as well as contributing to the community as a whole.

This blog will be filled with life through my eyes. My passions, opinions, facts, and...well, just a VIP ticket to my life. No backseat driving, alright?

Anyways, to be more suffice, this very blog will be filled with whatever I want to put in it. That includes stuff like how life's goin' on over here at the precise moment, video game stuff including possibly reviews and videos of me playing them (I bear no such device as a capture card, bear with offscreen footage), my opinions and views and/or what's happening in the world of sports, NASCAR, politics, and the like, especially concerning my vast amount of general interests, but mainly the "big four" (see signature).

So, for the time being, I will try to keep my blog running, healthy, and recurring. As for now, I hope everyone enjoys my take on life in general as seen in the coming entries, as well as the miscellaneous stuff that's in store for the future.

    Stay cool, fellas.
