  1. I have found my newest favorite pastime. Stargazing from the bed of my truck. :wub: It’s a bit chilly tonight but so beautiful! I believe I spotted Venus... @Phosphor might find this of interest. :P

      You bet! Glad to hear you're enjoying the night sky! Won't be long before you have a giant telescope mounted on the back of your truck  :kirin:

      @Dark Horse, @Lucky Bolt this will help you find a dark site: Yellow zone would be minimum to see the Summer Milky Way, but light green or darker is better. My other place is in a blue zone and Venus will cast a faint shadow.  :grin:

      Wanting to do the same, just go farrr away from here. Some places it's dark enough to spot the Andromeda galaxy and perhaps the second farthest.

      Hard to imagine all those stars looking bright in a dark sky aren't so visible in normal conditions.
