    G! If O type stars are white hot and M type stars are red hot, the sun is a G type Star on the scale. More specifically, a G2V type Star. 

    The OBAFGKM scale is the stellar classification scale. It can be remembered easier with the mnemonic, Oh Be A Fine Girl, Kiss Me!
