That is a fact. As the universe expands, more of the cosmos retreat beyond the cosmic event horizon. This is a process that occurs over many years.

I’ve been looking into this. Apparently it’s more controversial than it should be. Meaning people are saying galaxies aren’t disappearing from sight because old light keeps arriving.

Thiugh I do understand such light to “red shift” until disappearance. 

This is a long process, not something to occur in a lifetime. In an accelerating universe, for instance, information can leave from one place and reach us after however much time, but in the far future, information can leave from that same place but never reach us. As I understand it, it’s because the accelerating universe model suggests that the universe’s expansion is speeding up. However, I don’t think it’s the current prevailing hypothesis for the ultimate fate of the universe. People are even calling the Big Bang into question.
