    D! A white dwarf star has a maximum allowable mass of roughly 1.4 solar masses, crushed down to around the size of Earth. But a neutron star is above 1.4 to a little over 2 solar masses crushed down to about the size of Manhattan. Because of the size to mass ratio, the density of one is enormous.
